Claims (11)

  1. Originality indicator for a compressed-gas cylinder on the neck ring of which a protective cap is to be fastened releasably, comprising an indication ring (2) which is intended to be installed between an end face (14) of the protective cap (13) and a shoulder (15) of the neck ring (11) of a compressed-gas cylinder (10), is formed from at least two segments (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) arranged annularly in a plane and is equipped with at least one predetermined breaking point, characterized in that mutually facing ends of adjacent segments (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) of the indication ring (2) are arranged spaced apart from one another with the formation of a gap (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d), which gap (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d) is bridged by a profiled element (8, 8', 8", 8"') which connects the two ends to one another and has the predetermined breaking point (20, 21) arranged therein, wherein the profiled element (8, 8', 8", 8"') has a pressing surface (17) projecting from the ring plane (6) and two legs (18, 19, 18', 19', 18", 19", 18"', 19"') in each case connecting the pressing surface (17) to one end of the two segments (4a, 4b, 4c, 4d) and running at least in certain portions towards one another from the pressing surface (17) in the direction of the ring plane (6).
  2. Originality indicator according to Claim 1, characterized in that the indication ring (2) is produced in one piece, preferably by injection moulding.
  3. Originality indicator according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the predetermined breaking point (20, 21) comprises a weakening zone arranged in the pressing surface (17) or a leg (18, 19) of the profiled element (8, 8', 8", 8"').

Originality indicator according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least one of the legs (18, 19, 18', 19', 18", 19", 18"', 19"') is configured as an elastic spring element which is elastically deformed upon application of a pressing force acting perpendicular to the ring plane (6), but after removal of the pressing force is at least partially restored into its original shape.
