Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Fokussieren eines Beamformers eines Hörinstruments. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung besteht darin, eine automatische Adaption der Beam-Weite und/oder der Beam-Richtung zu ermöglichen, die komfortabel und intuitiv genutzt werden kann. Ein Grundgedanke der Erfindung besteht in einem Verfahren zum Fokussieren eines Beamformers eines Hörinstruments umfassend die Schritte:
- Erfassen der räumlichen Orientierung und/oder Position des Kopfs des Hörinstrument-Benutzers,
- Bei Erfassen des Ausbleibens von Kopfbewegungen richtungsabhängiges erfassen von akustischen Signalen,
- Danach anheben der Verstärkung akustischer Signale, die aus einem Fokus-Raumwinkel vor dem Kopf des Hörinstrument-Benutzers kommen, gegenüber akustischen Signalen aus anderen Raumwinkeln, und dadurch Aktivieren oder Erhöhen der Direktivität,
- Danach nach und nach fokussieren durch verringern des Fokus-Raumwinkels, und dadurch Erhöhen der Direktivität, solange, bis der Pegel akustischer Signale aus dem Fokus-Raumwinkel, eigentlich die Präsenz der gewünschten Signale im Fokus-Raumwinkel (rein theoretisch die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass das gewünschte Signal im Fokus-Raumwinkel präsent ist), aufgrund der Verringerung des Fokus-Raumwinkels abnimmt. Dadurch wird vorteilhaft die richtungsabhängige, direktionale Erfassung akustischer Signale automatisch gestartet, sobald der Benutzer in Richtung einer akustischen Quelle, beispielsweise eines Sprechers, blickt und die Quelle sodann unverwandt ansieht.
