Definitions

  • the invention relates to the field of packaging made of semi-rigid material, for example solid or corrugated cardboard, intended to house containers, such as bottles.
  • a box "American box” is a package closed by flaps and adapted to protect heavy goods and / or fragile. These packages are suitable for shipping, mailing and transporting goods.
  • the dimensions of the packages must be provided to adapt to the nature, shape and number of objects received.
  • packaging intended to contain from 3 to 12 conventional glass or plastic bottles, such as fruit juices, alcohol and spirits.
  • packages with two compartments secured to each other by means of a pre-cut line. These packages are divisible into two smaller independent packages, by separating along the precut line. These packages may also include additional fastening flaps to give them additional rigidity, the flaps having pre-cut lines and also being provided to be detached.

  • packages are made from blanks having on both sides of the precut a first set of walls and flaps and a second set of walls and flaps in numbers identical or not to those of the first set.
  • this precut line may be a plane of symmetry for the first and second sets of walls and flaps.
  • the blank has a sort of broadband conformation consisting in particular of a succession of walls and flaps hinged together, on both sides of a precut line.
  • an intermediate packaging device of rigid or semi-rigid material for producing a plurality of final packaging devices this intermediate packaging device being obtained by assembling at least two packaging elements, each packaging element having original walls and original flaps hinged to at least some of the original walls, said intermediate device having outer walls, and at least three intermediate flaps hinged to respective outer walls, each intermediate flap having been obtained by assembling two original flaps of two respective packaging elements.
  • This intermediate device is adapted to be conveyed on a packaging line for the volume of said intermediate device, and preferably for its filling, for dissociation, after setting volume, of each of the at least three intermediate flaps. at least two respective end flaps to obtain the plurality of final packaging devices.
  • the two packaging elements are assembled through the original flaps to form intermediate flaps, which allows a subsequent dissociation of this intermediate packaging device at the intermediate flaps.
  • the intermediate device thus comprises at least three, for example four, points of connection between the two original packaging elements, which can make it possible to ensure stability of the intermediate device (in particular along the packaging line) and so to avoid to provide a pre-cut line between the blanks of these two packaging elements.
  • the invention can thus make it possible to avoid the handling problems of a generally band-shaped blank.
  • the invention can make it possible to use standard machines, especially presses, to obtain relatively large final packages.
  • the length of the generally band-shaped blank can be limited by the dimensions of the press used.
  • Such an arrangement also offers the advantage of subsequent conveying of the intermediate device onto over-sized packaging lines with respect to the dimensions of the individual packaging elements or final packaging devices.
  • the production lines are thus advantageously provided and adapted to the setting volume of the intermediate device, with a subsequent possible step of filling and closing. This avoids having recourse to different production lines, each of which is usually only provided for the manufacture or packaging of semi-rigid material packaging having structures and dimensions adapted to the line in question.
  • the intermediate packaging device has the advantages of an optimization of implementation costs and flexibility on an industrial scale, since it can be provided a same production line allowing, after any slight adjustments, packaging an intermediate packaging device resulting from an assembly of packaging elements of various shapes and sizes thanks to the intermediate flaps.
  • the intermediate device is shaped so as to provide several final packaging devices, by simply separating the final devices of the intermediate packaging device at the levels of the intermediate flaps.
  • the rigid or semi-rigid material may be rigid cardboard or corrugated cardboard.
  • the corrugated cardboard of conventional use, is preferably used because it usually has, on the one hand, relatively large thicknesses which improves the protection of the contents, and, on the other hand, increased bending capabilities compared rigid cardboard.
  • the invention is not limited by the shape and dimensions of the intermediate packaging device.
  • This can be a cardboard packaging capable of providing final or individual packaging devices, for example of the "American boxes" type.
  • These intermediate devices or end devices may comprise a plurality of erected walls, after mounting, in the same longitudinal direction so as to form, preferably, a parallelepiped shape, such as cube and rhombohedron.
  • Each packaging element may comprise a plurality of original walls hinged together preferably by fold lines.
  • the plurality of the original walls is preferably composed of so-called main walls and so-called side walls.
  • the main and side walls have an identical height and a different width.
  • the main walls have a wider width than the side walls.
  • each packaging element comprises four original walls, a bottom part, which is defined as likely to be in contact with the ground, and a so-called upper part, opposite to the bottom wall. , respectively of rectangular shape, secured together, preferably by fold lines.
  • Each packaging element may also comprise a non-rectangular but square bottom portion, or hexagonal or other, the number of walls may be greater than four, depending on the final shape of the intermediate packaging device.
  • One of the walls of the plurality of walls may further comprise a connecting tab for obtaining, after assembly, a final packaging device of square or parallelepiped shape, such as cube and rhombohedron, that is to say where each wall is of substantially identical size (height and width) or different.
  • the junction can be performed at the edge between two walls, or on a face formed by two walls, for example in the middle of the face.
  • the two packaging elements may be identical or different configuration, that is to say present shapes and / or dimensions identical to each other or different.
  • the bottom portion and / or the upper portion may have preferably smaller bottom closure flaps, each of which is hinged to respective walls of said intermediate device.
  • said bottom and / or top portions respectively have exactly three bottom closure flaps and / or exactly three upper closure flaps.
  • the closing portion of the second flap is assembled to the securing portion of the first flap. This assembly is preferably performed by gluing or staples.
  • the securing part may for example be designed as an extension part which extends beyond the closing part, in particular when this extension part is not secured to one side of the wall.
  • the securing portion of a flap secured to an adjacent wall can be obtained with various sizes and dimensions thanks to the space left free on the blank of the blank. made of this absence of flap.
  • the absence of flaps on one of the main walls allows more freedom of design of the securing part.
  • closure portion and the securing portion of the at least one first flap of origin of each packaging element are separated by a precut. This allows easy separation of the intermediate packaging device in the final packaging devices, individual.
  • said two parts can be rigidly interconnected and the separation then being performed by cutting using suitable means, such as scissors, knives and others, for example.
  • two first flaps are arranged on either side of the bottom and top parts, which facilitates the assembly by the formation of two assembly areas.
