Claims (4)

  1. Hair iron (1), in particular a straightener, comprising two arms (2,3) which are pivotally mounted on each other and between which the hair is drawn during ironing, wherein the hair iron (1) has at least five separate heating plates on at least one arm (2,3), namely a middle heating plate (4), two side heating plates (4a) and two outer heating plates (4b), and the middle heating plate (4) can be set to a higher temperature than the side heating plates (4a).

  3. Hair iron according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that an automatic control device (6) is provided that controls the temperature of the side heating plates (4a) and/or outer heating plates (4a, 4b) as a function of the middle heating plate (4).
  4. Hair iron according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that a manual control device (7) is provided, via which the heating plates (4, 4', 4a, 4b) can be controlled individually with regard to their temperature.
