Claims (5)

  1. Zigarettenpapier mit einem Flächengewicht von 40 bis 55 g/m2 und einem Gehalt an Calciumcarbonat in einer Menge von 18 g/m2 oder mehr,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Primärteilchen des Calciumcarbonats eine säulenförmige Form oder Nadelform aufweist und das Primärteilchen des Calciumcarbonats ein durchschnittliches Seitenverhältnis von nicht weniger als 4 und weniger als 10 aufweist und eine durchschnittliche Länge (L) von 0,1 bis 1,5 µm aufweist, wobei das Sekundärteilchen des Calciumcarbonats in Form einer "Bur-Form" ("bur shape") vorliegt.
  2. Zigarettenpapier nach Anspruch 1 mit einer Dichte von 0,4 bis 1,0 g/cm3.
  3. Zigarettenpapier nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, das ein Verbrennungsregulierungsmittel enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es ein Alkalimetallcitrat umfasst.
  4. Zigarettenpapier nach Anspruch 3, das das Verbrennungsregulierungsmittel in einer Menge von 1,0 bis 5,0 Gew.-% enthält.
  5. Zigarette, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie umfasst:
    einen Zigarettenstrang mit Tabakfetzen, die mit dem Zigarettenpapier nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4 in eine Strangform gewickelt sind; und
    einen Filter, der koaxial mit einem Ende des Zigarettenstrangs durch ein Zigarettenmundstückpapier verbunden ist.
