Description

The invention relates to a high-voltage insulator according to the features of the preamble of the first claim.

Such high voltage insulators are for example from the EP 1 091 365 known. Described herein is a method of manufacturing a hollow composite insulator made of glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin with silicone shielding and whose end pieces are formed from metallic flanges, such as aluminum.

The free internal volume of composite insulators is due to electrical insulating properties in particular with sulfur hexafluoride, an inorganic chemical compound of the elements sulfur and fluorine filled with the empirical formula SF6. In principle, however, it should be noted that any other insulating gas, for example nitrogen, is also suitable. Under normal conditions SF6 is a colorless and odorless, non-toxic gas that is non-combustible and behaves extremely inert, similar to nitrogen. Because of its high density, the high ionization energy and the ability to bind free electrons, it is commonly used in medium and high voltage insulation gas.

In order to ensure the effectiveness of the insulating gas used over the entire life of the composite insulators, the free internal volume of the composite insulators must be made absolutely sealed against the external atmosphere. For this purpose, the free internal volume, d. H. the free gas space, monitored for different parameters.

For this example is from the DE 196 35 362 a method for producing a wound high-voltage insulator has become known in which one or more channels for subsequently retractable conductors of all kinds, in particular optical waveguides, are provided. In this case, a laminate structure is achieved by winding a material onto a winding mandrel and impregnating with a resin. For this purpose, first layers of the material to be wound are applied first, then at least one groove is incorporated into the resulting surface and then finished wound until the desired final diameter is reached.

The DE 196 35 372 describes a method for producing a high-voltage insulator, in which at least one empty channel is provided for retrofitting an optical waveguide. For this purpose, first layers of the material to be wound are applied, then a with At least one empty tube provided shaped body fixed on the resulting surface and wrapped by subsequently wound layers.

However, all these known methods adhere to technically disadvantageous aspects that result from the use of optical waveguides for measured value transmission: To be able to provide the optical waveguides on or in the high-voltage insulator, a circumferential groove or whatever free cavity on or in High-voltage insulator can be created, which receives the one or more optical fibers. However, a mechanical change in the surface structure of the otherwise homogeneous surface of the high-voltage insulator or the provision of any kind of cavity is highly problematic from the perspective of dielectric strength and ultimately represents a potential defect for electric flashovers. Also, there are in the known methods no possibility to retrofit a monitoring device at a later date, that is, when already installed and installed in the open field high-voltage insulators.

The DE 10 2006 053 986 A1 describes a surge arrester having a high voltage insulator with a monitoring device.

Object of the present invention is therefore to provide a high-voltage insulator made of composite material, which provides a way to monitor technical parameters, such as temperature or pressure, for the free, filled with insulating, internal volume without mechanically interfere with the homogeneous surface structure of the high-voltage insulator or to drill an open channel from the inside to the outside through the wall of the insulator. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to provide a technically simple way for a retrofittable monitoring device to already fully manufactured or installed in the field high voltage insulators.

This object is achieved by a high-voltage insulator having the features of the first claim. The subclaims relate to particularly advantageous developments of the invention.

The general inventive idea is to provide on the inside of the insulating tube a transducer which corresponds wirelessly to a receiver arranged substantially opposite one another. In the context of the invention, a transducer is understood to be a technical component, in particular a sensor, which also quantitatively records specific physical or chemical properties, for example temperature, humidity or pressure, qualitatively or as a measured variable. The transducer is thus part of a measuring device that directly addresses a measurand. According to the essence of the invention, the sensor is a passive sensor which, with regard to the detection of the chemical or physical quantities, has no external Power supply operates and wirelessly transmits the generated measurement signal to the oppositely arranged receiver. The generation of the electrical signal can be effected in particular electrodynamically or piezoelectrically. Within the scope of the invention, passive sensors are also understood to be so-called SAW sensors (surface acoustic wave sensors), also referred to as SAW sensors (surface acoustic wave). They are applicable for the detection of numerous voltage-giving physical quantities. Descriptions of such AOW sensors can be found for example in the WO 96/33423 . WO 01/61859 and WO 01/91294 , So far, however, the proposal has not been made or attempted to use such known sensors in a suitable manner in a high-voltage insulator. If the transducer, which operates without external electrical energy, is first fastened inside the insulating tube of the high-voltage insulator, then it continues to operate independently. The transducer can be glued, for example, on the inside of the insulating tube or otherwise firmly connected to the inner surface of the insulating tube.

The solution according to the invention, the insulating tubes made of glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin can be manufactured in a conventional manner and equipped with a monitoring device, without having to provide a circumferential groove or any kind of free cavity on or in the insulating tube of the high-voltage insulator.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the pickup and the substantially oppositely arranged receiver are positioned in the region of a flange. This has proven to be advantageous because the metallic flanges have an electromagnetic shielding effect and thereby reduce the electrical fields occurring to a minimum.

The invention will be explained in more detail with reference to embodiments in conjunction with the figures.

FIG. 1 shows a non-inventive high voltage insulator 1 in vertical cross-section. The high-voltage insulator 1 is preferably formed as a hollow composite insulator and comprises a substantially rotationally symmetrical insulating tube 2, which is usually made of glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin. On the outer sides of the insulating tube 2 a wavy silicone screen 3 is circumferentially provided. At the respective end faces, ie the beginning and end pieces of the Isolierohres 2, are arranged form liquid, this sealingly encompassing the outer periphery, metallic flanges 4 and 5, for example made of aluminum. Generic high-voltage insulators 1, also referred to as composite insulators, are sold on the market, for example, under the brand name ReCoTec® by the company Reinhausen Power Composites GmbH. According to the invention, such high-voltage insulators 1 are now expanded by a monitoring device consisting of a pickup 6 and a receiver 7. The preferably designed as a passive sensor pickup 6 is attached directly to the inner surface of the insulating tube 2, in particular glued and corresponds wirelessly with the receiver 7, which is fixed to the outer surface of the silicone screen 3. The receiver 7 is connected by means of a cable connection 8 to a measuring signal evaluation device 9.

In contrast to FIG. 1 is in FIG. 2 the receiver is mounted directly on the outer surface of the insulating tube 2 and also connected by means of a cable connection 8 with the Meßsignalauswerteeinrichtung 9.

In FIG. 3 a preferred embodiment of a high-voltage insulator 1 according to the invention is shown schematically. In this embodiment, the receiver 6 and the substantially oppositely arranged receiver 7 are arranged in the region of the lower flange 5. Likewise, however, it would also be conceivable to arrange pickup 6 and receiver 7 in the region of upper flange 4. In this embodiment, the lower flange 5 has a recess 10, within which the receiver 7 is positioned. The cable connection 8 is connected via a provided in the lower flange 5 bore 11 with the receiver 7.
