Description

A METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A DRYING MACHINE
COMPRISING AN ORDINARY DRYING PROCEDURE AND THE
DRYING MACHINE
The present invention relates to a method for controlling the drying machine, wherein the drying machine comprises an outdoor textiles drying procedure for drying outdoor textiles, and at least an ordinary drying procedure for drying other textiles, wherein each of the outdoor textiles drying procedure and the ordinary drying procedure comprises a preheating stage, a main drying stage and a cooling stage, wherein the method comprises selecting and starting the outdoor textiles drying procedure, and entering the preheating stage, the main drying stage, and the cooling stage. The present invention also relates to a drying machine that implements the method.
For the purpose of the present disclosure, outdoor textiles have a waterproof and breathable thin film material with a micro-porous structure. During textiles manufacture, all seams and pinholes on the textiles are sealed with sealing strips, so as to ensure absolute waterproofing and block all liquids.
Currently, drying machines on the market do not provide a special drying procedure for outdoor textiles. In general cases, after washing, the outdoor textiles can only be taken out and hung at a shade place for drying. A washing and drying procedure or a single drying procedure provided by a washing and drying machine in the prior art is not applicable to drying outdoor textiles. The reasons are described as follows.
Firstly, a temperature is set too high during the drying procedure, such that the waterproof material, especially the sealing strips are likely to be damaged, causing the outdoor textiles to lose original functions thereof. Secondly, nominal water content of the textiles after drying cannot be controlled precisely, and an objective of protecting the outdoor textiles cannot be achieved. At present, drying modes provided by the washing and drying machines on the market are divided into two types: time drying and automatic drying. If a user selects a time drying procedure to dry the outdoor textiles, it requires that the user select appropriate drying time according to a material type, weight and nominal water content after washing of the textiles in combination with the information such as a temperature and humidity of a current environment. For an ordinary user, it is difficult to do so. If the user selects the automatic drying mode, as an automatic drying procedure in the prior art is a drying algorithm set for general cotton fabric and chemical fiber fabric, the automatic drying procedure in the prior art is not applicable to drying the material of outdoor textiles. Therefore, the drying procedure in the prior art has two results: if the drying time is too long, the outdoor textiles are over-dried, wrinkles easily occur to a surface of the textiles, and the fabric and sealing strips are damaged; if the drying time is too short, the nominal water content of the outdoor textiles is too high, which fails to achieve the objective of drying.
The present invention is directed to a method for controlling a drying machine applicable to drying outdoor textiles.
Accordingly, a technical solution according to the present invention is a method for controlling a drying machine, wherein the drying machine comprises an outdoor textiles drying procedure for drying outdoor textiles which have a waterproof and breathable thin film material with a micro-porous structure and are sealed with adhesive strips at seams, and at least an ordinary drying procedure for drying other textiles, wherein each of the outdoor textiles drying procedure and the ordinary drying procedure comprises a preheating stage, a main drying stage and a cooling stage , wherein the methodincludes selecting and starting the outdoor textiles drying procedure, and then entering the preheating stage, the main drying stage, and the cooling stage. In the main drying stage, a drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure is lower than a drying temperature of the main drying stage of the ordinary drying procedure, and after completing the cooling stage of the outdoor textiles drying procedure, nominal water content of the outdoor textiles is higher than nominal water content of the other textiles after completing the cooling stage of the ordinary drying procedure.
The drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure refers to a first temperature of drying air after being heated by a heating device, the drying temperature of the ordinary drying procedure refers to a second temperature of drying air after being heated by the heating device.
Preferably, in the main drying stage, the drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure is controlled between 50°C and 60°C.
Preferably, in the preheating stage, the drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure is lower than a working temperature of the ordinary drying procedure.
Preferably, in the preheating stage, the drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure is controlled between 50°C and 60°C.
Presently, the textiles with nominal water content of 0% are defined and obtained by the following two methods alternatively: 1) the textiles are left for a first period of time, preferably at least 72 hours, in an ambient temperature between 18°C to 22°C and an ambient humidity between 60% to 70% when the weight of the texitles changes by less than 0.5% for two successive weighings, which are carried out at two-hour intervals; 2) the textiles are hung singly and separately so that air can freely circulate, and are left in an ambient temperature between 18°C to 22°C and an ambient humidity between 60% to 70% for a second period of time, preferably not less than 48 hours. And percentage values from 0% of nominal water content are calculated as relations between mass of water content and dry weight of the textiles.
Preferably, after completing the cooling stage of the outdoor textiles drying procedure, the nominal water content of the outdoor textiles is within a range of 8%±5%.
Preferably, the drying temperature of the main drying stage of the ordinary drying procedure is between 60°C and 100°C. And the nominal water content of the other textiles after completing the cooling stage of the ordinary drying procedure is between -3% and 3%.
The present invention is also directed to a drying machine which is operable to be controlled by above method. The drying machine comprises an outdoor textiles drying procedure for drying outdoor textiles which have a waterproof and breathable thin film material with a micro-porous structure and are sealed with adhesive strips at seams, and at least an ordinary drying procedure for drying other textiles. Each of the outdoor textiles drying procedure and the ordinary drying procedure comprises a preheating stage, a main drying stage and a cooling stage.
Preferably, a controlling device is introduced to implement the ordinary drying procedure and the outdoor textiles drying procedure.
A technical effect of the present invention lies in that, by setting an appropriate drying working temperature, damages on the material and sealing strips at seams of the outdoor textiles during the drying procedure are prevented to the greatest extent. In addition, for the professional waterproof and breathable material with a surface after durable water repellent polymer, heat of low-temperature drying is better for redistribution of the durable water repellent polymer on a fabric surface than natural drying, and protects waterproofing of the fabric surface. Moreover, after the drying procedure, nominal water content of a dried object is higher than nominal water content after the ordinary drying procedure is performed, which ensures that wrinkles caused by over-drying do not occur to the dried object, and at the same time, the material and sealing strips at the seams of the outdoor textiles are prevented from being damaged.
Specific preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in detail below. FIG. 1 is a flow chart of an outdoor textiles drying procedure of a drying machine; FIG. 2 is a sketch view of a drying machine. Referring to Fig. 2, a drying machine 1 is provided, which comprises a tub 2, a drum 3 rotatably mounted within the tub 2 for containing textiles 4,5, a door 6 that is operable to close or open an opening 7 of the drum 3, and a controlling device 8 to implement an outdoor textiles drying procedure for drying outdoor textiles 4 and at least an ordinary drying procedure for drying other textiles 5. Each of the outdoor textiles drying procedure and the ordinary drying procedure comprises a preheating stage, a main drying stage and a cooling stage. When a user needs to dry outdoor textiles 4, especially a water-proof jacket, the user selects and starts the outdoor textiles drying procedure, and then enters the preheating stage, the main drying stage and the cooling stage fitting the procedure.
As the outdoor textiles 4 have a waterproof and breathable thin film material with a micro- porous structure and are sealed with adhesive strips at seams, during the preheating stage and the main drying procedure of the outdoor textiles drying procedure, especially in the main drying procedure, a drying temperature of the drying machine is controlled between 50°C and 60°C, which is lower than a drying temperature of the main drying stage of the ordinary drying procedure which is between 60°C and 100°C, thereby making sure that a surface temperature of the material of outdoor textiles 4 is maintained in an appropriate range, so as to prevent the material from being damaged. The drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure especially refers to a first temperature of drying air 9, namely a temperature of air 9 after being heated by a heating device 10. The drying temperature of the outdoor textiles drying procedure is controlled at about 55°C. The drying temperature of the ordinary drying procedure refers to a second temperature of drying air 9 after being heated by the heating device 10.
Specifically, as shown in FIG. 1 , after the outdoor textiles drying procedure is started, a drying target temperature Ttarget is set. The drying target temperature Ttarget is a target temperature of the air 9 after being heated by the heating device 4. The drying target temperature Ttarget is set to an appropriate value between 50°C and 60°C, and is set to 55°C. After the drying target temperature Ttarget is set, the heating device 4 is powered on to heat the drying air 9, and the process turns to a preheating stage. In the preheating stage, a drying temperature Tdetect is detected in real time until Tdetect≥ Ttarget- Then the preheating stage is ended and the process turns to a main drying stage.
In the main drying stage, the drying temperature Tdetect is detected in real time, and the heating device 4 is controlled according to a detection result, so that the drying temperature Tdetect is maintained around the drying target temperature Tdetect- In addition, in the main drying stage, a target condition such as the target drying time, target drying energy consumption and a target drying temperature rise of the drying procedure is determined, and a current automatic drying condition is detected in real time and compared with the target condition, so as to judge whether an automatic drying end condition is met. If the automatic drying end condition is not met, the main drying procedure is continued; if the automatic drying end condition is met, the main drying procedure is ended, and the process turns to the cooling stage. A specific method for automatic drying may be referred to the prior art, and is not a core of the present invention. Therefore, details are not described herein again. In the cooling procedure, the heating device 4 is switched off. The entire washing and drying machine is in a temperature drop procedure. In the stage, residual heat in the machine may be fully utilized to further condense water in the outdoor textiles. After the entire outdoor textiles drying procedure, final nominal water content of the outdoor textiles 4 is controlled within a range of 8%±5%, thereby protecting a waterproof layer and adhesive strips of the outdoor textiles 4, and at the same time making sure that wrinkles caused by over-drying do not occur to the textiles. The nominal water content is higher than nominal water content of the other textiles 5 after completing the ordinary drying procedure, which is between -3% and 3%. The nominal water content of the outdoor textiles 4 after drying is around 8%. After the drying is finished, the outdoor textiles 4 are taken out and ironed or hung for a while. Wherein the textiles 4,5 with nominal water content of 0% are defined and obtained by the following two methods alternatively: 1) the textiles 4,5 are left at least for 72 hours in an ambient temperature between 18°C to 22°C and an ambient humidity between 60% to 70% when the weight of the textiles 4,5 changes by less than 0.5% for two successive weighings, which are carried out at two- hour intervals; 2) the textiles 4,5 are hung singly and separately so that air can freely circulate, and are left in an ambient temperature between 18°C to 22°C and an ambient humidity between 60% to 70% for a period of not less than 48 hours. And percentage values from 0% of nominal water content are calculated as relations between mass of water content and dry weight of the textiles 4,5.
The above described ordinary drying procedure refers to a general drying procedure for ordinary fabric, namely other textiles 5 than outdoor textiles 4.
The above outdoor textiles drying procedure can not only dry the outdoor textiles 4, but also effectively prevent the waterproof material of the outdoor textiles 4 from being damaged during drying, which fills the gap of an outdoor textiles drying technology.
The present invention is applicable to various drying machines, that is, the present invention is not only applicable to a drying device with a single drying function, but is also applicable to a washing and drying machine.
The embodiments described above and shown in the accompany drawings are merely used for illustrating the present invention, and are not all parts of the present invention. In the scope of the basic technical ideas of the present invention, any modifications made to the present invention by persons with ordinary skill in the related technical field shall fall within the scope of the present invention.
