Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for processing printed sheets for printed products, in particular book blocks according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- the double slot perforation line has a first and a second perforation line each having slots of the same slot length, wherein the slots of the first and second perforation lines are respectively inserted into a signature so that each two consecutive slots of a perforation line are spaced one slot length apart.
- the first and second perforation lines are parallel and spaced apart from one another and have a longitudinal offset of one slit length, such that the slits of the first perforation line are respectively spaced from the slits of the second perforation line and a fold line is formed between the first and second perforation lines , After folding, the resulting folds are merged into a book block and glued edge.
- the folding of the signatures along the fold line of the double slot perforation line forms a double sheet with two sheet sections articulated against one another, which are at least partially connected to one another at the fold line extending in the region of the fold edge.
- the slot-like perforation of the printed sheet in the region of the folding line causes after the folding of the folded edge protrude tab-like projections, which preferably connect directly to each other. These projections produced by the slot perforation leave in the fold outbreaks in the next to the folded edge sheet section area.
- the outbreaks of the respective arcuate sections are again spaced apart from each other by one slot length, namely by a breakout-free region lying between two successive breakouts.
- the outbreaks of the two hinged together arc sections in this case have a longitudinal offset of one slot length.
- Object of the present invention is to improve the known method to the effect that a more rational and thus cost-effective production of book blocks, especially in small batches and / or in small formats is possible.
- the object is achieved on the basis of the features of the preamble of claim 1 by its characterizing features.
- the essential aspect of the method according to the invention is that at least one first double slot perforation line is produced with a first fold line in the longitudinal direction of the print sheet and at least one second double slot perforation line with a second fold line in the transverse direction of the print sheet and that the orientation the first and second Doppelschlitzperfor istsline to each other such that the fold line of a Doppelschlitzperfor istsline between the slot end of a first slot of the first perforation line and the slot beginning of the first slot immediately following, further slot of the second perforation line of the further Doppelschlitzperfor istsline runs.
- Such an arrangement of the intersecting Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien ensures that the change of slots in the region of the fold line and thus is ensured even with a Mehrfachfalzung of the sheet at two rectangular intersecting Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien that an arc portion in a certain area of the folded edge a Outbreak has, immediately adjacent next to it arranged bow sections at this point have no such breakout, ie that both the breakouts and the tab-like projections of a bow portion relative to the outbreaks or tab-like projections of the immediately adjacent arc sections preferably have a longitudinal offset of one slot length.
- a printing sheet several arc sections can be produced at the same time, which have the advantageous properties for producing the high-strength adhesive bond, wherein each arc section forms one side of the book block to be produced.
- the first and second Doppelschlitzperfor istsline be arranged to each other such that the intersection of the first and second fold line respectively on the connecting line between the slot end of a first slot of the first perforation line and the slot beginning of the first slot immediately following, the other slot of the second Perforation line is.
- both the orientation of the first double-slot perforation line to the second fold line and the orientation of the second double-slot perforation line to the first fold line are determined such that the first and second fold lines each extend through the area in which the change of the slots is provided.
- the meander-shaped structure is completely retained both in the first and in the second double-slot perforation line, so that even with a multiple fold of the printed sheet at two mutually perpendicular crossing Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien ensures that the outbreaks or tab-like projections of two successive arc sections a longitudinal offset of have a slot length.
- the distance between the two perforation lines of a double slot perforation line is selected as a function of the area-specific mass of the paper sheet to be processed. For example, this is between 0.3 and 0.4 mm at a paper thickness of 170 g / m 2 .
- the slot length is advantageously between 2 and 5 mm.
- a rectangular printing sheet is used, wherein the printing sheet is divided by the Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien into a plurality of rectangular or square arc sections.
- the Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien thus enable a production of several sheets of a book block from a sheet, the sheet sections in each case essentially - apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable edge regions - the desired format of the sheets of the book block has.
- an improved printing sheet utilization is possible, i. the unusable sheet surface is significantly reduced.
- a plurality of parallel, first Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien in the longitudinal direction of the press sheet and / or a plurality of parallel, second Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien be generated in the transverse direction of the press sheet.
- the sheet can be folded, in particular folded several times alternately in different folding directions, so that a zig-zag fold occurs.
- multiple pages of a book block can be easily and inexpensively made from a single sheet.
- two successive Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien each have the same distance.
- the spacing between two successive first double slot perforation lines may be selected differently than the distance between two successive second double slot perforation lines in order to be able to produce rectangular sheet formats.
- the distance of two consecutive first double slot perforation lines to the spacing of two consecutive second double slot perforation lines may have a ratio of 2/3.
- a plurality of foldings are arranged one above the other in such a way that the respective folded edges are arranged congruently one above the other and that the folds are glued together in a fold area in which a plurality of edge-side fold edges lie one above the other.
- the folder corresponds already substantially - apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable border areas - the desired format of the book block , This can be done a more rational production of book blocks.
- the book blocks produced at the same time may have different contents.
- the printed sheet is printed in such a way that the desired contents are provided in rows or columns with different contents, so that after the zigzag folding and the separation or the edge trimming, the pages of the resulting book block have the desired content, wherein the contents of each book block is different. This can be achieved in particular a rational production of small batches, such as photo books.
- the folded sheet is folded after at least one first fold on at least one further, extending parallel to the fold edge Doppelschlitzperfor istsline, so that a Mehrfachfalzling is generated.
- This Mehrfachfalzling has - again apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable border areas - the format of the desired printed product, in particular book block on.
- book blocks with only a small number of sheets can thus be produced simply and inexpensively.
- all double slot perforation lines are arranged with respect to a vertex of the signature or with respect to a vertex of the printable area of the signature.
- a printing sheet is used which is printed on the front and back sides and the arc sections separated from one another by the double perforation lines each form sides of the printed product.
- a plurality of mutually parallel and spaced Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien be generated, wherein the mutually parallel Doppelschlitzperfor istslinien are arranged without offset to each other, so that the respectively corresponding slots are arranged at the same height on the sheet.
- the mutually parallel Doppelschlitzperforationslinien thus each run in phase with each other.
- the inventive method also allows a significantly improved utilization of the paper formats when printing in digital technology.
- Mehrfachfalzitch can be made and thus from a large format sheet, for example, in the format DIN A3 ++ the formats DIN A4, DIN A5 to DIN A8 are produced. This advantageously results in a method for the automatic one-off production of individual, personalized books.
- FIG. 1 is denoted by the reference numeral 1, a printing sheet, which is in particular a rectangular paper sheet and is printed on both sides, for example by means of a digital printing machine.
- This sheet 1 has a side edge FIG. 1 hatched drawn, not printable edge region 11 on.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for processing printed sheets for printed products, in particular book blocks according to the preamble of
The folding of the signatures along the fold line of the double slot perforation line forms a double sheet with two sheet sections articulated against one another, which are at least partially connected to one another at the fold line extending in the region of the fold edge. The slot-like perforation of the printed sheet in the region of the folding line causes after the folding of the folded edge protrude tab-like projections, which preferably connect directly to each other. These projections produced by the slot perforation leave in the fold outbreaks in the next to the folded edge sheet section area. The outbreaks of the respective arcuate sections are again spaced apart from each other by one slot length, namely by a breakout-free region lying between two successive breakouts. The outbreaks of the two hinged together arc sections in this case have a longitudinal offset of one slot length. If a plurality of such folds are provided with an application of an adhesive in the fold area and arranged one above the other, so that the folded edges of the folds overlie each other, the adhesive can penetrate into the outbreaks, on the other hand the adhesive adheres between the tab-like projections and glued them. This results in a high penetration depth of the adhesive in the fold area. In addition, in each case an outbreak against two arc sections, which have no such breakouts at this point. Thus, two not directly adjoining sheet sections are connected to each other on the outbreaks of a curved section and that by means of an adhesive bond through the outbreak of a sheet section through. The same is true with the tab-like projections. Also, their position alternates from arc section to arc section, so that the tab-like projections of each second arc portion of the overlapping Falzlinge are each arranged at the same locations. The application of adhesive on the tab-like projections thus connects in each case an arc section with the next but two arc sections. The result of the known adhesive bond is an extremely stable and durable perfect binding for printed products, especially book blocks.
The disadvantage, however, is that for books that are to be produced in small batches and / or in small formats, such as photo books, a considerable effort in the processing and handling of the individual sheets, since each sheet must be provided with the double slot perforation and folded. Thus, the known method is time consuming and costly.
Object of the present invention is to improve the known method to the effect that a more rational and thus cost-effective production of book blocks, especially in small batches and / or in small formats is possible. The object is achieved on the basis of the features of the preamble of
The essential aspect of the method according to the invention is that at least one first double slot perforation line is produced with a first fold line in the longitudinal direction of the print sheet and at least one second double slot perforation line with a second fold line in the transverse direction of the print sheet and that the orientation the first and second Doppelschlitzperforierungslinie to each other such that the fold line of a Doppelschlitzperforierungslinie between the slot end of a first slot of the first perforation line and the slot beginning of the first slot immediately following, further slot of the second perforation line of the further Doppelschlitzperforierungslinie runs. Such an arrangement of the intersecting Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien ensures that the change of slots in the region of the fold line and thus is ensured even with a Mehrfachfalzung of the sheet at two rectangular intersecting Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien that an arc portion in a certain area of the folded edge a Outbreak has, immediately adjacent next to it arranged bow sections at this point have no such breakout, ie that both the breakouts and the tab-like projections of a bow portion relative to the outbreaks or tab-like projections of the immediately adjacent arc sections preferably have a longitudinal offset of one slot length. Thus, by means of a printing sheet, several arc sections can be produced at the same time, which have the advantageous properties for producing the high-strength adhesive bond, wherein each arc section forms one side of the book block to be produced.
In a preferred embodiment, the first and second Doppelschlitzperforierungslinie be arranged to each other such that the intersection of the first and second fold line respectively on the connecting line between the slot end of a first slot of the first perforation line and the slot beginning of the first slot immediately following, the other slot of the second Perforation line is. Thereby, both the orientation of the first double-slot perforation line to the second fold line and the orientation of the second double-slot perforation line to the first fold line are determined such that the first and second fold lines each extend through the area in which the change of the slots is provided. As a result, the meander-shaped structure is completely retained both in the first and in the second double-slot perforation line, so that even with a multiple fold of the printed sheet at two mutually perpendicular crossing Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien ensures that the outbreaks or tab-like projections of two successive arc sections a longitudinal offset of have a slot length.
Particularly advantageously, the distance between the two perforation lines of a double slot perforation line is selected as a function of the area-specific mass of the paper sheet to be processed. For example, this is between 0.3 and 0.4 mm at a paper thickness of 170 g / m 2 . The slot length is advantageously between 2 and 5 mm. With such a dimensioning of the spacing of the two perforation lines to the slot length advantageously Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien that allow for folding along the fold line optimal formation of the tab-like projections or outbreaks.
In particular, a rectangular printing sheet is used, wherein the printing sheet is divided by the Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien into a plurality of rectangular or square arc sections. The Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien thus enable a production of several sheets of a book block from a sheet, the sheet sections in each case essentially - apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable edge regions - the desired format of the sheets of the book block has. Thus, an improved printing sheet utilization is possible, i. the unusable sheet surface is significantly reduced.
In a preferred embodiment, a plurality of parallel, first Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien in the longitudinal direction of the press sheet and / or a plurality of parallel, second Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien be generated in the transverse direction of the press sheet. At these mutually parallel Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien the sheet can be folded, in particular folded several times alternately in different folding directions, so that a zig-zag fold occurs. Thus, multiple pages of a book block can be easily and inexpensively made from a single sheet.
Preferably, two successive Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien each have the same distance. The spacing between two successive first double slot perforation lines may be selected differently than the distance between two successive second double slot perforation lines in order to be able to produce rectangular sheet formats. In particular, the distance of two consecutive first double slot perforation lines to the spacing of two consecutive second double slot perforation lines may have a ratio of 2/3.
Particularly advantageously, a plurality of foldings are arranged one above the other in such a way that the respective folded edges are arranged congruently one above the other and that the folds are glued together in a fold area in which a plurality of edge-side fold edges lie one above the other. Depending on the format of the folder or the desired book block format either several book blocks are simultaneously created here, which are arranged next to each other in series on the folder, or the folder corresponds already substantially - apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable border areas - the desired format of the book block , This can be done a more rational production of book blocks.
In the event that a folded edge is produced with a first edge length, which corresponds at least substantially - apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable edge regions - a first edge length of the printed product to be produced and the second edge length of the folding folder a multiple of the further edge length of the book block to be produced is, the book blocks produced at the same time may have different contents. In this case, for example, the printed sheet is printed in such a way that the desired contents are provided in rows or columns with different contents, so that after the zigzag folding and the separation or the edge trimming, the pages of the resulting book block have the desired content, wherein the contents of each book block is different. This can be achieved in particular a rational production of small batches, such as photo books.
In a further embodiment, the folded sheet is folded after at least one first fold on at least one further, extending parallel to the fold edge Doppelschlitzperforierungslinie, so that a Mehrfachfalzling is generated. This Mehrfachfalzling has - again apart from the edge trim and possibly not printable border areas - the format of the desired printed product, in particular book block on. In particular, book blocks with only a small number of sheets can thus be produced simply and inexpensively.
After the production of Mehrfachfalzlings this is glued in a folding area in which several edge-side folding edges are superimposed, and at least a further, perpendicular to the fold area extending fold edge separated by side trimming. Preferably, all other pages are side trimmed to separate the individual sheet sections into individual sheets.
More preferably, all double slot perforation lines are arranged with respect to a vertex of the signature or with respect to a vertex of the printable area of the signature. As a result, it can be achieved despite variations in the paper format that all double slot perforation lines always have the desired distance from the reference point and thus also the desired distance from each other.
Further preferably, a printing sheet is used which is printed on the front and back sides and the arc sections separated from one another by the double perforation lines each form sides of the printed product.
According to a further aspect of the invention, a plurality of mutually parallel and spaced Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien be generated, wherein the mutually parallel Doppelschlitzperforierungslinien are arranged without offset to each other, so that the respectively corresponding slots are arranged at the same height on the sheet. The mutually parallel Doppelschlitzperforationslinien thus each run in phase with each other. In this way, when producing a zig-zag fold, it is achieved that the openings or tab-like projections of each successive arc section formed by the fold on the respective double-slit perforation lines have a longitudinal offset of one slit length, so that an offset of the slit section to the curve section alternates When folding resulting outbreaks or tab-like projections and thus bonding each of a bow portion is achieved with the next but two sheet sections.
The inventive method also allows a significantly improved utilization of the paper formats when printing in digital technology. In particular Mehrfachfalzungen can be made and thus from a large format sheet, for example, in the format DIN A3 ++ the formats DIN A4, DIN A5 to DIN A8 are produced. This advantageously results in a method for the automatic one-off production of individual, personalized books.

The expression "essentially" or "approximately" in the sense of the invention means deviations from the exact value by +/- 10%, preferably by +/- 5% and / or deviations in the form of changes that are insignificant for the function.

In order to simultaneously produce a plurality of sheet sections 10, 10 'from a
In order to compensate for fluctuations in paper size, the arrangement of the double
