Abstract
Description
- The present disclosure relates to composite saws, and particularly to a table-cutting type protective cover for a composite saw.
- In the prior art, there are two major types of table cutting type protective covers for a composite saw. One is a passive type where the table cutting type protective cover is raised to a certain height according to the height of the workpiece before cutting. The other is an automatic type where the table cutting type protective cover is an integrated body; a surface for guiding a workpiece is arranged in front of the protective cover, the surface having an arc shape and extending upwards with a long front part. When a workpiece is fed into the protective cover, the workpiece pushes the surface up. This type of protective cover is rather long, thus fully occupying the table for placing the workpiece due to the long shape of table cutting type protective cover. The workpiece cannot be put on the table for operation, leading to much inconvenience. In addition, the automatic opening of the protective cover is not very sensitive. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the prior art protective covers.
- To address the deficiencies in the prior art, the present disclosure aims at providing a new table-cutting type protective cover for a composite saw. The new protective cover can not only prevent the saw blade from being exposed thus ensuring the safety of the saw, it is also easy to use, occupies a small space and opens well. More importantly, the new protective cover can reserve space for accommodating the workpiece to be machined on the table so that the workpiece can be operated directly on the table.
- To realize the above objective, the present disclosure provides the following technical solution: A table-cutting type protective cover for a composite saw, comprising a follower plate, a left and right auxiliary cover plate, and a movable cover body, wherein the follower plate and the movable cover body are respectively hinged to the two ends of the left and right auxiliary cover plate.
- Preferably, the left and right auxiliary cover plate may comprise a left cover plate and a right cover plate which together form the left and right auxiliary cover plate through splicing.
- Preferably, a torsional spring for driving the movable cover body to automatically restore it to its original position may be arranged at the hinge connecting the left and right auxiliary cover plate and the movable cover body.
- Preferably, a supporting part may be set at the bottom of the left and right auxiliary cover plate.
- Preferably, the top of the movable cover body may be hinged onto the left and right auxiliary cover plate, a supporting surface may be set at the bottom of the movable cover body, and a surface for withstanding the workpiece may be set at an outer surface of the movable cover body.
- Compared with the prior art technologies, the new protective cover of the present disclosure provides the following advantages: It can prevent the saw blade from being exposed and thus improve the safety of the saw. It has a simple structure, requires low cost, and is convenient to assemble and disassemble. It occupies a small space, is flexible, and reserves more space for placing the workpiece to be machined. More importantly, it can reserve sufficient space for accommodating the workpiece to be machined on the table so that the workpiece can be directly operated on the table.
- The present disclosure relates to composite saws, and particularly to a table-cutting type protective cover for a composite saw.
- The new protective cover of the present disclosure is described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings and the embodiments hereinafter.
-
FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of the new protective cover when in use; -
FIG. 2 is another schematic diagram of the new protective cover when in use. - Where: 1. panel assembly; 2. frame; 3. saw blade; 4. follower plate; 5. left and right auxiliary cover plate; 6. movable cover body; 7. supporting part; 8. workpiece withstanding surface; 9. supporting surface; 10. base.
- The present disclosure relates to composite saws, and particularly to a table-cutting type protective cover for a composite saw.
- The description below only serves to describe the preferred embodiment of the present invention rather than limiting the scope of the present invention.
- As shown in
FIGs. 1 and2 , a table cutting type protective cover for a composite saw comprises afollower plate 4, a left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5 and amovable cover body 6, wherein thefollower plate 4 and themovable cover body 6 are respectively hinged to the two ends of the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5. - The left and right
auxiliary cover plate 5 comprises a left cover plate and a right cover plate which together form the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5 through splicing. - A torsional spring for driving the
movable cover body 6 to automatically restore the movable cover body to its original position is arranged at the hinge connecting the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5 and themovable cover body 6. - A supporting part 7 is set at the bottom of the left and right
auxiliary cover plate 5. - The top of the
movable cover body 6 is hinged onto the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5, a supporting surface is set at the bottom of themovable cover body 6 and a workpiece withstanding surface 9 is set at an outer surface of themovable cover body 6. - The table cutting type protective cover can prevent the saw blade from being exposed and thus improve the safety of the saw.
- The working principle of the protective cover of the present disclosure can be further illustrated hereinafter by referring to the use thereof on a composite saw: The composite saw with a table cutting type protective cover comprises a
base 10, a panel assembly 1, aframe 2, a saw blade 3 and a table cutting type protective cover, wherein theframe 2 is fixed or hinged onto thebase 10, the angle of theframe 2 relative to thebase 10 is adjustable and changeable, the panel assembly 1 is fixed onto theframe 2, the saw blade 3 is fixed onto theframe 2 through a bearing seat and can be driven by a driving device into rotation, an opening for the saw blade is provided on the panel assembly 1, an upper part of the saw blade 3 extends from the panel assembly 1 through the opening to the upper surface of the panel assembly 1, and the table cutting type protective cover is mounted on the upper surface of the panel assembly 1. A lower part of the saw blade 3 is exposed on the lower surface of the panel assembly 1. The composite saw can switch between using the upper part and the lower part of the saw blade 3. - When the composite saw is in use, the workpiece is placed on the upper surface of the panel assembly 1, and it is pushed towards the saw blade 3 (as shown in
FIG. 2 , the workpiece is pushed leftwards), then the front end of the workpiece pushes against the withstanding surface of themovable cover body 6. The workpiece pushes themovable cover body 6 to enable themovable cover body 6 to rotate around the hinge point of a first end, and in turn to enable themovable cover body 6 to rotate towards the inner cavity of the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5. With the forwarding of the workpiece, themovable cover body 6 pushes the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5 open to thus enable the left and rightauxiliary cover plate 5 to rotate around the hinge point of the first end. With furthermore forwarding of the workpiece, the workpiece contacts the saw blade 3 which then cuts the workpiece. - After removal of the workpiece, the left and right
auxiliary cover plate 5 falls freely and themovable cover body 6 is restored to its original position by means of the torsional spring. - The panel assembly 1, the
frame 2, and the saw blade 3 have been widely used. Their structures and principles are the same as those in the prior art, thus a detailed description of these parts is not necessary.
