Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an article of clothing comprising at least one extensible part.
  • This invention proposes an improvement of the article of clothing which is the subject of the patent application FR-A-2,853,498 .
  • This document describes a garment having an inner portion fitted to the body and a loose outer portion, these portions being joined together by a bonding strip extending along at least one limb of the body. This design allows to partially or completely hide the inner part close to the body while limiting the risk of local wear of the larger part.
  • the outer portion is generally made with a flexible fabric, little stretch, such as polyester.
  • the inner part is particularly suitable for this type of range of motion.
  • this is not the case for the fabric of the external part.
  • This aspect is not troublesome as long as the outer envelope is dissociated from the inner part.
  • the problem comes from the junction between the inner part and the outer part at the level of the connecting strip extending along the moving member.
  • the lack of elasticity of the external part around the connecting strip brings a certain rigidity to the internal part. This can result in a limitation of freedom of movement and discomfort, depending on the materials used and / or the morphology of the user.
  • the athlete may be embarrassed and the clothing may become damaged.
  • the discomfort of the user is expressed by localized muscle support that can generate local pain.
  • the garment may also tear at the outer portion or the seam break off punctually due to excessive deformation of the outer portion. In addition, this connection between the two shorts can cause unpleasant friction.
  • the relative stiffness of the outer portion at the junction with the binding strip produces a deformation of the garment in motion that is visually not desired: folds appear, making unsightly the clothing line.
  • the object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and in particular to provide a clothing article concept for combining a pleasant appearance outside and a good maintenance and / or heating / proprioceptive effect while limiting to a minimum freedom of movement of the athlete.
  • the article of clothing comprising an inner part close to the body, comprising at least one connecting strip extending along at least one limb (arm, leg, neck) of the body, and a wider outer part partially covering the inner part, the outer part being connected to the connecting strip.
  • the article of clothing is characterized in that the outer portion comprises at least one extensible interface strip in at least one direction, one edge of which is connected to the connecting strip
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 represent a short type clothing item incorporating the invention.
  • a fabric is extensible when it can strongly stretch in at least one direction of stress.
  • the fabric can thus deform elastically with a large elongation when exerting a low tensile force.
  • the effort to obtain a given deformation is small.
  • the modulus of elasticity of the fabric is thus low.
  • the extensible fabric does not necessarily have the same characteristics depending on whether it is stressed in a direction parallel to the weft of the fabric or in a direction parallel to the warp of the fabric.
  • an extensible fabric may be characterized by a tensile force of less than 15 N to obtain a deformation of 15% when it is stressed in a "chain” direction and by a tensile force of less than 10 N, preferably less than 8 N, to obtain a deformation of 15% when it is biased in a "frame” direction.
  • a slightly stretchy fabric may be characterized by a tensile force of 90 to 100 N to obtain a deformation of 15% when it is stressed in a "chain” direction and by a traction force of 60 to 70 N to obtain a deformation of 15% when it is requested in a "frame” direction.
  • An example of a slightly stretchy fabric is a polyester with a standard make.
  • slightly stretchy fabrics reduces the cost and weight of the garment. In fact, it is easier to find less extensible fabrics more economical and lighter than stretch fabrics. As a result, the combination of stretchy fabrics and little stretch to achieve the outer shorts can optimize the weight and cost.
  • the inner shorts 10 has a size 11 and two legs 12.
  • Each leg 12 consists of a substantially tubular portion 13 of stretch fabric of semi-cylindrical shape and a connecting strip 14 covering the crotch zone.
  • the connecting strip 14 may be extensible fabric or otherwise non-stretch fabric.
  • the outer shorts 20 also has a waist 21 and two substantially tubular portions each constituting a leg 22.
  • Each leg 22 comprises a plurality of extensible portions or not.
  • the portions constituting each leg 22 are arranged in such a way that a main portion 23, consisting of a non-stretchable fabric, is connected on each side 23a, 23b to the edge of an interface strip. expandable 24a, 24b.
  • Each extensible interface band 24a, 24b is connected, at the opposite edge, to the connecting strip 14.
  • each extensible interface band 24a, 24b constitutes an interface zone between the main portion 23 and the connecting strip 14, that is, to say, the inner shorts 10.
  • the garment comprises at each thigh, a first tubular casing formed by the leg 12 and a second tubular casing formed by the leg 22 and the common connecting band 14.
  • the second tubular casing surrounds the first tubular casing, except at the level of the connecting strip where the two envelopes merge.
  • the two shorts, inner and outer 20 have in fact a common part which is the connecting strip 14 located at the level of the crotch.
  • interfacing strips 24a, 24b between the main portion 23 of the outer shorts 20 and the leg 12 of the inner shorts 10. These interface strips provide flexibility to the garment by allowing to increase the relative displacement of the leg 22 relative to the leg 12. The movement of the inner shorts is thus dissociated or isolated from the external short thanks to this buffer zone constituted by these bands extensible interfaces.
  • the extensible interface strips 24a, 24b preferably have a much smaller surface area than the non-extensible main portion 23 because this makes it possible to optimize the weight and the cost of the leg 22.
  • the embodiment shown comprises two interface bands, each band being disposed on either side of the connecting strip. This solution completely isolates the outer shorts 20 from the inner shorts 10.
  • the garment may comprise only an interface band. In this case, the insulation of the outer short is only partial.
  • the interface strips are designed to be expandable in at least one direction of stress.
  • a longitudinal direction L that is to say, in a direction parallel to the axis of the dressed member. This direction is symbolized by the vector L on the figure 1 .
  • L longitudinal direction
  • the outer shorts relatively rigid, do not must therefore not block the inner short, in this longitudinal direction L.
  • the elasticity of the interface strips in this longitudinal direction L prevents this blockage, improving the comfort of the athlete, especially during races.
  • the interface strips may be extensible in a transverse direction T, that is to say, in a peripheral direction to the dressed member. This direction is symbolized by the vector T on the figure 1 . Flexibility in this direction is particularly important for lateral movements of the athlete, for example, jumps on the side or relaxation exercises.
  • the outer short, relatively rigid, should not block the inner shorts, in this transverse direction T.
  • the elasticity of the interface strips in this transverse direction T avoids this blockage, thereby improving the comfort of the athlete during some lateral movements.
  • the interface strips are extensible in any direction of stress.
  • they are extensible in the longitudinal direction L and in the transverse direction T. This homogeneity allows comfort regardless of the movements of the athlete.
  • the interface strips may have different extension characteristics depending on the direction of solicitation.
  • the strip may be oriented so that the weft of the fabric is parallel to the longitudinal direction L and the fabric chain is parallel to the transverse direction T.
  • the fabric is then more longitudinally extensible. It may be desirable to invert the orientation of the fabric so that the weft of the fabric is parallel to the transverse direction T. This depends on the desired extensibility characteristics.
  • the elasticity of the interface strips 24a and 24b can be characterized with respect to the elasticity of the main portion 23 of the leg 22.
  • the modulus of elasticity of the interface strips 24a and 24b is at least four times greater than the modulus of elasticity of the main portion 23.
  • the interface strips are made with an aerated fabric.
  • This aerated fabric is characterized by the presence of airy mesh or perforated / honeycombed fabric, forming apertures able to allow air to enter between the two shorts 10 and 20.
  • This ventilated fabric thus allows aeration or ventilation of the zone between them. two shorts.
  • the main portion 23 of the outer shorts 20 also includes ventilated fabric portions.
  • these portions 25 coupled with the interface strips 24a, 24b allow better air circulation between the two shorts of the garment.
  • the inner shorts are the same length or shorter than the outer shorts. This design ensures an aesthetic appearance that is that of a loose shorts 20, since the inner shorts near the body 10 remains hidden by the outer shorts.
  • the legs 12 of the inner shorts will not be longer, or even shorter than those of the outer shorts so as to hide any visual impression near the body.
  • the binding of the two shorts together is particularly important in this context to prevent relative sliding of the legs during the practice of the sport and to keep the visual aspect of a loose shorts.
  • the sizes 11, 21 of the shorts 10, 20 may be independent.
  • the shorts are connected together only by the crotch, so as to ensure a better adaptation to the movements, the outer shorts thus not hindering the movements of the inner shorts.
  • the sizes 11, 21 are connected at the waist of the garment.
  • This connection can be fixed, such as a seam 30, or removable, such as buttons.
  • the size 21 is an extensible interface band, surrounding the size of the user for reasons similar to those described above.
  • the interface strip 21 brings flexibility to the garment by isolating the main portion 23, relatively rigid, legs 22 relative to the size 11.
  • This expandable interface strip 21 may also be made of ventilated fabric to increase the internal ventilation of the garment.
  • the ventilated fabric portion can only partially cover the size of the sportsman.
  • the connecting strip 14 of the crotch may have a substantially rectangular shape, or a shape for example triangular depending on the cut or the shorts 10, 20.
  • band also includes yokes having a large width, or wider than high.
  • the dimensions of the bands may be related to the size of the garment. Short shorts, for example, have a width to height ratio higher than pants.
  • the connecting strip 14 may be provided in the form of a separate yoke of the inner shorts 10 as shown in FIG. figure 2 or instead be an integral part of every leg 12 as depicted on the figure 3 , these being then obtained for example by knitting, this is particularly the case when the connecting strip 14 is extensible fabric.
  • a seam 15a associates an edge of the portion 13, an edge 14a of the connecting strip 14 and an edge of the interface strip 24a.
  • a seam 15b associates the other edge of the portion 13, an edge 14b of the connecting strip 14 and an edge of the interface strip 24b.
  • a seam 15a associates an edge of the interface strip 24a directly with the portion 13 forming the leg 12.
  • a seam 15b associates an edge of the interface strip 24b directly with the portion 13.
  • the portion of the visible leg delimited by the two seams 15a, 15b forms the connecting strip 14.
  • each band 14 may be either in the same fabric as the leg 12 associated, or be in a different fabric and in particular a non-stretch fabric, depending on the case the fabric may also be an airy fabric of ventilated mesh type or perforated fabric, for better ventilation.
  • the figure 4 represents trousers 101, for which similar or identical elements will be designated by the same references increased by 100.
  • the trousers 101 also includes inner trousers 110 having a size 111 and legs 112 and outer trousers 120, having a size 121 and legs 122.
  • These legs 122 comprise a main portion 123 of fabric not extensible or very little extensible and two extensible strips 124b connecting the main portion 123 to a connecting strip 114 common to the two pants 110 and 120.
  • the connecting strip is located at the crotch.
  • the two pants 110, 120 are connected by detachable connecting means 130 of the button type.
  • the invention could be transferred to other types of clothing such as articles covering the upper part of the body, for example, jacket tops, pullover ...
  • Such clothes are described in the application FR-A-2,853,498 .
