Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine zum Einbau in einem Kraftfahrzeug vorgesehene Beleuchtungseinrichtung (1) umfassend mindestens eine Halbleiterlichtquelle (5) zum Aussenden von Lichtstrahlen, eine Primäroptik (8) zum Bündeln zumindest eines Teils der ausgesandten Lichtstrahlen, und eine Sekundäroptik (12) zum Abbilden zumindest eines Teils der gebündelten Lichtstrahlen in einer Lichtaustrittsrichtung auf einer Fahrbahn vor dem Fahrzeug zur Erzeugung einer gewünschten Lichtverteilung. Die mindestens eine Halbleiterlichtquelle (5), die Primäroptik (8) und die Sekundäroptik (12) sind in einer in das Fahrzeug eingebauten Ausrichtung der Beleuchtungseinrichtung (1) vertikal übereinander angeordnet. Um eine besonders effiziente Beleuchtungseinrichtung (1) realisieren zu können, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Primäroptik mindestens eine Vorsatzoptik (8) aus einem transparenten Material mit totalreflektierenden Eigenschaften umfasst, welche zumindest einen Teil der von der mindestens einen Halbleiterlichtquelle (5) ausgesandten Lichtstrahlen mittels Totalreflexion und Brechung an Grenzflächen (10) der Vorsatzoptik (8) bündelt.
