Definitions
- the invention relates to a dumbbell according to the preamble of the independent claim, in particular a dumbbell with a tubular dumbbell bar and with a housed in the interior of the barbell vibration device by means of the barbell in vibratory movements is displaceable.
- Dumbbells with a vibration device are known, for example from the DE 195 32 254 C1 .
- Such dumbbells allow a vibration training, as it has been known for years and has now been successfully established as a scientifically recognized training and treatment method in the areas of fitness, medical, wellness and cosmetics.
- a vibration dumbbell allows effective vibration training especially for muscle chains in the upper body area. It has been shown that the combination of classical dumbbell training and vibration training allows an intensification of strength training, because at the same time a muscle building and a neuronal control of the muscles can be trained and improved and there is a higher blood flow to the muscle tissue during and after the application. The combination also allows shorter training times.
- a vibration training especially a workout with a generic dumbbell promotes the performance and coordination of the trained muscles.
- One of the health-promoting effects of vibration training on the human body is an increase in capillary blood flow and metabolism.
- positive cosmetic effects such as an improved so-called definedness of the musculature which is highly valued in bodybuilding.
- Known dumbbells with vibration device for example from the DE 195 32 254 C1 , Have a central drive, which is housed in the interior of a barbell, between a first and second unbalance, is coupled to this and which makes it possible to set the barbell in vibration or vibration movements.
- the configuration unbalance motor imbalance has the consequence that the dumbbell grip diameter must be made larger than the standard diameter of a conventional dumbbell without drive and that, at least if the dumbbell is worth a longer life, a motor with special ball bearings must be used, to the high bearing loads through the can withstand both sides coupled unbalance.
- Known vibration dumbbells are therefore manufacturing technology and cost complex structures.
- Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a generic dumbbell, in particular to create a structurally simple and inexpensive dumbbell with a long service life of the vibration movements exposed components such as bearings or the like.
- dumbbell having the features of independent claim 1.
- the generic dumbbell improved according to the invention is characterized in that the vibration device comprises a first electric motor and a second electric motor, respectively whose housing is connected or connectable to the dumbbell rod in terms of vibration, and an unbalanced component arranged between the first and the second electric motor and rotatable about a rotation axis wherein, for effecting vibratory movements of the dumbbell bar, the unbalance component of the first and second electric motors is translatable into a rotational movement about the axis of rotation.
- the unbalance component has a center of gravity offset from the axis of rotation, so that, as known per se, a time-oscillating torque is exerted on the electric motors coupled to the imbalance component, which in turn causes a time-oscillating torque on the weight axis.
- the imbalance component according to the invention of two motors, between which the imbalance component is arranged can be set in a rotating movement about its axis of rotation, distributed according to the invention, the torque load on the bearings of the two motors.
- the load of the individual bearings is therefore reduced compared to a vibration device with only one electric motor. Therefore, the invention allows the use of relatively simple electric motors, in particular without special ball bearings.
- vibration dumbbells can be manufactured with a sufficiently low price for mass consumption - and without a loss of quality or a reduced sustainability.
- the provision of an imbalance component between the first and second electric motors makes it possible to keep the diameter of the tubular dumbbell bar in which the vibration device is housed relatively low.
- a dumbbell bar which has a diameter in the standard range or slightly below the normal range of a conventional dumbbell. This makes possible turn to use a dumbbell handle with a diameter in the normal range of a conventional dumbbell.
- the dumbbell according to the invention is preferably operated at frequencies between 25 and 40 Hz, more preferably between 30 and 30 Hz with a vibration amplitude between 1.0 and 1.5 mm on the dumbbell handle.
- Preferred values of the dumbbell weight are between 1.5 and 4.5, particularly preferably 3.0 kg.
- FIG. 1 shows a schematic simplified illustration of a dumbbell 100 according to the invention with a tubular dumbbell bar 1, a vibration device 10 arranged inside the dumbbell bar 1, which comprises inter alia a first electric motor 20 and a second electric motor 30 and an imbalance component 40 arranged therebetween. Furthermore, the dumbbell has a first and a second dumbbell head 120, 130, between which a dumbbell handle 110 is arranged. Dumbbell handle 110 and dumbbell heads 120, 130 form a cavity in which the barbell 1 is arranged.
- dumbbell handle 110, and dumbbell heads 120, 130 may be formed as a housing made of a plastic injection molding material.
- One or both of the dumbbell heads 120, 130 may be formed as a weight element, which in turn may be modular.
- dumbbell handle 110 and / or the dumbbell heads 120, 130 at least one cavity for receiving components such as power supply system, control electronics, sensors, switches for switching on and off of the electric motors or the same may be provided.
- Decoupling element may be provided which decouples one or more of the weight elements vibrationally from the dumbbell handle and barbell, which allows increased stability of the dumbbell, especially in use and a reduced energy consumption in the generation of vibration movements.
- the barbell 1 In operation of the dumbbell, the barbell 1 is set in vibratory motion by means of the vibrating device 10, the dumbbell rod in turn vibrating with the handle coupled to it, so that vibration can be transmitted to stressed muscle parts of a user.
- the stability and manageability of the dumbbell is advantageously increased if the vibration device has a longitudinal axis L and a mass distribution which is symmetrical with respect to a plane A perpendicular to the longitudinal axis L.
- the unbalance component 40 When operating the vibrating device 10 in the installed state in the barbell 1, the unbalance component 40 is offset by the first and second electric motor 20, 30 in a rotating movement about its axis of rotation.
- the first electric motor 20 will perform a clockwise movement and the second electric motor 30 will perform a counterclockwise movement.
- the resulting rotational movement of the imbalance component 40 causes vibrations that are picked up by the bearings of the electric motors 20, 30 and transmitted to the dumbbell 1 vibrationally connected to the electric motors 20, 30.

Object of the present invention is therefore to develop a generic dumbbell, in particular to create a structurally simple and inexpensive dumbbell with a long service life of the vibration movements exposed components such as bearings or the like.
The object is achieved with a dumbbell having the features of
The generic dumbbell improved according to the invention is characterized in that the vibration device comprises a first electric motor and a second electric motor, respectively whose housing is connected or connectable to the dumbbell rod in terms of vibration, and an unbalanced component arranged between the first and the second electric motor and rotatable about a rotation axis wherein, for effecting vibratory movements of the dumbbell bar, the unbalance component of the first and second electric motors is translatable into a rotational movement about the axis of rotation. The unbalance component has a center of gravity offset from the axis of rotation, so that, as known per se, a time-oscillating torque is exerted on the electric motors coupled to the imbalance component, which in turn causes a time-oscillating torque on the weight axis. Since the imbalance component according to the invention of two motors, between which the imbalance component is arranged, can be set in a rotating movement about its axis of rotation, distributed according to the invention, the torque load on the bearings of the two motors. The load of the individual bearings is therefore reduced compared to a vibration device with only one electric motor. Therefore, the invention allows the use of relatively simple electric motors, in particular without special ball bearings. Further, relatively small sized electric motors can be used since the torque to be applied to the imbalance component is applied by two motors. The cost savings achieved are considerable, so that for the first time vibration dumbbells can be manufactured with a sufficiently low price for mass consumption - and without a loss of quality or a reduced sustainability. Furthermore, the provision of an imbalance component between the first and second electric motors makes it possible to keep the diameter of the tubular dumbbell bar in which the vibration device is housed relatively low. In particular, it is possible to use a dumbbell bar which has a diameter in the standard range or slightly below the normal range of a conventional dumbbell. this makes possible turn to use a dumbbell handle with a diameter in the normal range of a conventional dumbbell.

The dumbbell according to the invention is preferably operated at frequencies between 25 and 40 Hz, more preferably between 30 and 30 Hz with a vibration amplitude between 1.0 and 1.5 mm on the dumbbell handle.
