Auf der Vorderseite A sind weitere Leiterbahnen 10, 11, 12 angeordnet, die primär zur Spannungsversorgung der LEDs vorgesehen sind. An den Seiten sind dabei die durchgehenden Leiterbahnen 10, 11 vorgesehen, die auch zur Stromversorgung nachfolgender Einheitsleiterplatten verwendet werden können. Diese Leiterbahnen 10, 11 können nach dem Durchtrennen auch von einem aufgeschobenen ZIF-Stecker 19 kontaktiert werden, während handelsübliche ZIF-Stecker keine Möglichkeit zur Kontaktierung der Leiterbahnen 28, 29 auf der Unterseite B bieten. In den Detailansichten ist jeweils ein Kontaktbereich 13 gezeigt, der Kontakte 14a der die LEDs 4 verbindenden Leiterbahn 12 sowie Kontakte 14b der Leiterbahn 10 aufweist. Bei Leuchtbändern nach dem Stand der Technik, insbesondere solchen, bei denen ein relativ dünnes Trägermaterial und relativ dicke Leiterbahnen verwendet werden, wie im vorliegenden Ausführungsbeispiel, bei dem eine Polyimidfolie von 25 µm Dicke zwischen Kupferleiterbahnen von 50 µm Dicke angeordnet ist, kann es beim Durchtrennen einer Trennstelle T vorkommen, dass die beiden Kupferlagen miteinander in Berührung kommen, so dass es bei unterschiedlichem Potential zu einem Kurzschluss kommen kann. Auch ist das Layout der Leuchtbänder 1 wie auch der Verbindungselemente 15 mit einfachen Mitteln an die Besonderheiten der Anwendungsfälle anpassbar. Insbesondere ist es denkbar, bei unterschiedlichen Typen von Leuchtbändern 1 identische Verbindungselemente 15 zu verwenden oder aber bei identischen Leuchtbändern 1 unterschiedliche Verbindungselemente 15, die beispielsweise aufgrund ihrer Geometrie, der verwendeten Bauteile 18a oder anderer Merkmale auf den jeweiligen Verwendungszweck abgestimmt sind.
