Definitions
- the invention relates to a horse blanket and a safety closure for a horse blanket equipped with a closure formed from a first closure element and a second closure element, wherein the materials forming the closure have a previously known tear resistance.
- Horse blankets are used to protect horses from various influences, e.g. Weather conditions, used. Depending on the intended use, a distinction is made between winter and thermal blankets, sweat rugs, rain and blankets, reflective blankets and summer and flying rugs. The different ceilings are made according to their intended use of different materials, so that the intended use can be effectively achieved.
- closures which are attached via loops or straps to the horse blanket.
- closures are, for example, preferably made of metal T-locks, snap hooks or Jagdleinenhaken or preferably made of plastic snaps, which consist of a plug and a socket receiving the plug.
- the materials forming the closures have a previously known tensile strength (tensile strength).
- the tear strength is arranged such that the closures hold together the sections of the horse blanket connected by the closures, even under load.
- tensile strength is arranged such that the closures hold together the sections of the horse blanket connected by the closures, even under load.
- the horse blanket closure will tear - this is particularly desirable in dangerous situations in which the horse would otherwise sustain serious injuries.
- situations have often occurred in which the closure of a horse blanket of heavy load has not yielded and the horses have been severely injured by the closure or the straps carrying the closure.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a horse blanket, which avoids injury to horses by entangling the horses in the closures, especially the abdominal straps, and at the same time is difficult to damage. Moreover, it is an object of the invention to provide a closure for horse blankets, which reduces the risk of injury to horses through the closure.
- the basic idea of the invention is to connect the closures present on horse blankets by means of a further safety closure, the safety closure having a lower tear strength than the tear strength of the materials forming the closure of the horse blanket or the horse blanket itself.
- Fig. 1 is a schematic view of a particularly preferred designed
- Fig. 2 is a schematic view of the attached to a horse blanket
- Fig. 3 is a schematic work instruction for fastening the
- Closing element of the horse rug are attached.
- Fig. 1 shows the security closure according to the invention in a schematic representation.
- the safety closure 10 preferably consists of a first portion 20 having a recess for receiving the one part of the closure of the horse blanket, and a second portion 30 which is loop-shaped and adapted for attachment to the other part of the closure of the horse blanket.
- FIG. 2 shows the attached to a closure of a horse blanket security closure 10 in a schematic representation.
- the closure of the horse blanket which is shown in the example as a T-closure, consists of two parts 40a, 40b, 50a, 50b which can be coupled together.
- the one part of the closure 40a, 50a is formed by a first closing element 40a, which preferably consists of metal, and a fastening element 50a which fastens the closing element 40a to the horse blanket and may be a belt or a loop.
- the other part of the closure 40b, 50b is designed accordingly, wherein the other closing element 40b forms a lock with the first closing element 40a.
- the fastening of the safety closure 10 takes place on a closure 40a, 40b 3 50a, 50b of a horse blanket designed as a T-closure, as shown in FIG. 2, preferably according to the steps shown in FIG. First, the looped portion 30 of the security fastener 10 is pulled through the receptacle of the normally-receiving T-piece closure member 40b ( Figure 3a) and the first portion 20 of the security fastener 10 is pulled through the loop of the second portion 30 (Fig. 3b, 3c) and lashed (Fig. 3d).
- the horse blanket can now be closed and attached to the horse that the T-piece 40a of the closure of the horse blanket is not suspended in the directly attached to the horse blanket closure 40b, but in the recess of the first portion 20 of the safety closure 10 of the invention.
- the safety closure 10 will tear according to the invention, but not the closure 40a, 40b, 50a, 50b of the horse blanket, because the tear resistance of the safety closure 10 is lower is the tear strength of the materials forming the closure 40a, 40b, 50a, 50b of the horse blanket. This ensures that the horse uninjured and the horse blanket remains undamaged - the horse blanket can be easily equipped with a new safety lock 10 and reused.
- the tensile strength of the second portion 30 of the safety closure is less than the tensile strength of the first portion 20. This ensures that one part of the closure 40a of the horse blanket is always securely connected to the receptacle of the first section 20 of the safety closure 10.
- the second section 20 preferably has a predetermined breaking point.
- a particularly simple embodiment of the invention is obtained in that the second section 30 is of annular design and the first section 20 is preferably formed as the second section 30 of partially comprehensive trailer.
- the second section 30 is of annular design and the first section 20 is preferably formed as the second section 30 of partially comprehensive trailer.
- the recess in the first portion 20 of the safety closure 10 for receiving the T-piece 40a of a T-closure of an approximately square formed area and a slot extending from this area.
- the first portion 20 can also be used as a hook, e.g. Snap hook, be trained.
- the second section 30 carries in this case a snap-in connector, which can be introduced into the snap-lock receptacle of the fastener fastened to the horse blanket.
- the particularly configured safety fastener 10 shown in FIG. 4 can also be used to retrofit horse blankets.
- This safety fastener 10 has a mushroom-like shape, wherein the hat-shaped portion of the safety fastener 10 is inserted and fixed in the eye of the T-fastener and the T-piece of the T-fastener is inserted into an opening formed in the stem-shaped portion of the safety fastener 10.
- the opening is preferably slit-shaped, the slit having a long portion of small width approximately equal to the thickness of a tee, and having a short wide portion whose width is approximately equal to the width of the piece at its most recent width.
- Such a trained slot allows easy insertion and positioning of the T-piece, without the risk that the piece from slipping out of the security lock 10.
- Fig. 5 shows a particularly preferred designed horse rug with two specially designed security fasteners 10.
- the horse rug shows in the upper part of the picture on a sewn example on the horse rug belt 50b fastened first shutter member 60.
- first closure element 60 is formed in the example shown as a snap hook 60.
- the second closure element 70a is designed, for example, as an eyelet 70a for receiving a T-piece or as a T-piece 70b of a T-closure.
- first closure member 60 and the second closure member 70a, 70b are incompatible with each other, i. the first closure member 60 and the second closure member 70a, 70b can not be joined together to secure the blanket to the horse. In a horse blanket formed in this way, the horse owner is prevented from closing the horse blanket with the two closure elements 60, 70a, 70b.
- the closing of the horse blanket is effected only by the third closure element 10, which has a first portion, which are connected to the first closure element 60 can, and has a second portion which can be connected to the second closure element 70a, 70b.
- the third closure element 10 acts as a predetermined breaking point in the event that such large forces occur on the closure, which can cause damage to the horse blanket or the fastener element 60, 70a, 70b attached thereto.
- one section of the third closure element 10 may have a lower tear strength than the other section of the third closure element 10.
- the third closure element 10 can - as shown in Fig. 5 and Fig. 6 right - have in each section each have a receptacle for receiving the first and second closure element 60, 70 b or anchor-shaped, the crescent-shaped structure of the eyelet of the second Closure member 70a and the loop-like portion of the snap hook 60 is received (see Fig. 6).
- the horse blanket can not be damaged by improper use.
- the use of the horse blanket can thus be done only by using the third closure element 10, which can enter on the one hand with the first closure element 60 and on the other hand with the second closure element 70a, 70b a connection. Should a load acting on the closure 50b, 60, 10, 70a / 70b, 50a be so great that the horse is in danger of being injured or the materials of the equine blanket could be excessively strained, the third closure element 10 will rupture as described above and the shutter will be opened. The risk of injury to the horse or damage to the horse blanket therefore does not exist with proper use of the horse blanket of the invention.
- Fig. 6 shows the safety fasteners known from Fig. 5, which are attached to the below attached to the horse blanket tee and only need to be used in the above shown attached to the horse rug snap hooks to close the horse blankets and safely on the horse to fix.
- the shape of the fastener elements 60, 70a / 70b fastened to the horse blanket is irrelevant - it merely has to be ensured that the fastener elements 60, 70a / 70b are not connected to one another, ie are incompatible with one another.
- the third closure element 10 may be formed as an annular, preferably elastic (rubber) band of known tear strength, for example, as shown in Fig. 3 attached to the eye of a T-fastener wherein the band is dimensioned such that the remaining loop can be placed around the T-piece of the T-lock and fixed without it on a specially trained section 30 would come.
- annular, preferably elastic (rubber) band of known tear strength for example, as shown in Fig. 3 attached to the eye of a T-fastener wherein the band is dimensioned such that the remaining loop can be placed around the T-piece of the T-lock and fixed without it on a specially trained section 30 would come.
- the first and the second closure element 60, 70a, 70b are incompatible with one another, but the third closure element 10 is compatible with the first closure element 60 and the second closure element 70a, 70 on the one hand.
- the closure elements which can be connected to one another can also be designed to perform a key-lock function complementary to one another.
- the health of the horses can thus be ensured with the closure according to the invention and in particular with the inventively designed horse blanket, in particular, a material protection of the horse blanket is given and dealers may be prompted to give a guarantee on the life of the horse blanket.
