The invention relates to an aldehyde-containing washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid having an antibacterial effect, comprising elemental silver and / or a silver compound. The invention also relates to the use and a method for producing such a washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid.

The adhesion of microorganisms to surfaces is undesirable, especially in pathogenic microorganisms. Adherent microorganisms often lead to infections or reinfection in humans, animals and plants.

Increasingly, delicate textiles, such as silk or microfiber, are processed into garments that can only be washed at 30 or 40 ° C. As a result, fungi, such as the human pathogenic Candida albicans, are not killed.

In addition to the lower washing temperature, however, the use of liquid detergents which are generally free of bleaching agents is customary today. In a 60 ° C wash, as was the rule in the past, almost all germs were reliably destroyed, on the one hand by the higher temperature, and on the other by the bleach contained in the commonly used universal detergents.

Thus contaminated textiles can not be sterilized to the required extent by the changed washing behavior with viruses, bacteria, mold or yeast fungi, so that under certain circumstances a (re-) infection can occur during renewed contact of the consumer with the supposedly pure laundry.

In addition, problems with bad odors can occur because residual germs multiply when drying, carrying or storing on the laundry and produce bad-smelling metabolites. In addition, inside a washing machine itself can be caused by adhering biofilms a bad smell.

Antimicrobially active compositions and their use in washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aids are known in the art. Frequently, the disinfectants used are halogen-containing substances or phenol derivatives or other aromatic hydrocarbons, which can be regarded as problematic for reasons of environmental compatibility. Other, more compatible microbicides have only a limited spectrum of activity or are effective only under certain physical conditions. For household applications, however, there is a high demand for antimicrobial Compositions that are effective against a broad spectrum of microorganisms while being environmentally friendly; Natural ingredients are also desirable.

Silber bzw. Among other things, silver or silver ions have a blocking effect on thiol enzymes in microorganisms and thus have a high bactericidal and fungicidal action. In addition, silver has a germicidal effect. In the prior art, therefore, for example, from the EP 1670885 A1 , already germ-reducing detergents or cleaners containing silver and / or silver ions known.

Often compositions containing silver and / or silver ions are not stable because the silver ions contained in the agents can react with impurities such as chloride ions to photosensitive silver chloride salts or as sulfide to poorly soluble silver sulfide salts. In a (strongly) alkaline medium, soluble silver ions can first react to AgOH and then further to sparingly soluble Ag 2 O. In addition to the poor solubility of these silver salts, in particular the silver oxides and silver sulfides cause considerable color changes, in particular a brown or black color, of the composition despite small amounts.

Another problem can arise in the presence of aldehydes, since these can be oxidized by silver ions. Washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aids often contain a perfume oil. Many perfume oils contain fragrances of the class of aldehydes. Oxidation of these aldehydes, however, leads to an undesirable, altered fragrance impression.

An object of this invention was therefore to provide a stable, aldehyde-containing washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid with antibacterial activity.

  1. (a) elementares Silber und/oder eine Silberverbindung,
  2. (b) eine Aldehydverbindung und
  3. (c) Wasserstoffperoxid.
This object is achieved by a washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid comprising a
  1. (a) elemental silver and / or a silver compound,
  2. (b) an aldehyde compound and
  3. (c) hydrogen peroxide.

Surprisingly, it has been shown that stabilization of the elemental silver and / or the silver cation of the silver compound can be achieved by the presence of hydrogen peroxide without impairing the germicidal effect or the fragrance impression of the washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing assistant.

It is preferable that the silver compound is selected from the group consisting of silver acetate, silver citrate, silver diamine chloride complex, silver cyclodextrin complex, silver dicyanokalium complex, silver phthalimide, silver phenylcyanamide, silver (ethylene thiourea) complex, silver imidazolate, transition metal NHC-calix [4] arene Complexes, silver crown ethers, silver nitrate, Silver chloride on a support material and mixtures thereof is selected. Particularly preferably, the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid contains silver nitrate or silver chloride on a support material.

These silver compounds have a sufficiently high solubility and are not excluded from the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aids.

It is further preferred that the amount of elemental silver and / or the silver compound is from 0.0001 to 1% by weight, based on the total washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing assistant.

The scent impression of a washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid itself as well as the scent impression, which hinders a washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid in a textile treated with it, is often a decisive factor for the buying decision of consumers. The listed aldehyde compounds are customary and frequently used fragrances, which contribute decisively to the fragrance impression of a perfume composition.

It may be preferred that the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid additionally contains 0.01 to 3 wt.%, Based on the total washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid, ammonium hydroxide. Surprisingly, it has been found that particularly clear and thus aesthetically pleasing compositions are obtained by adding even small amounts of ammonium hydroxide.

Perfume compositions are usually added at the end of a manufacturing process of washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aids. By adding the elemental silver and / or the silver compounds with the perfume composition, a specialization of the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid in an antibacterial detergent, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid also takes place late in the preparation process and an approach can be used to produce various categories of washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing aids. In addition, the perfume composition can be used to easily and quickly add the least amount of aldehyde compound, hydrogen peroxide, elemental silver and / or silver compound to a washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing assistant.

In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail, inter alia, by way of examples.

As an essential ingredient, the washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing aid contains elemental silver and / or a silver compound.

According to the invention, silver is used either in elemental form or in the form of its compounds. If the silver is used in elemental form, it preferably has particle sizes of 1 nm to 100 μm. Even finer particle sizes of silver can be achieved by using the elemental silver in colloidal form, wherein the silver has particle sizes of 0.001 to 0.1 microns.

However, it is preferred that the agent contains a silver compound and that silver compound is selected from the group consisting of silver acetate, silver citrate, silver diamine chloride complex, silver cyclodextrin complex, silver dicyanokalium complex, silver phthalimide, silver phenylcyanamide, silver (ethylene thiourea) complex, silver imidazolate, Transition metal NHC-calix [4] arene complexes, silver crown ethers, silver nitrate, silver chloride on a support material and mixtures thereof. The silver compounds are preferably used in the form of solutions, suspensions or dispersions. Particularly preferably, the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid contains silver nitrate, which in the form an aqueous solution is used, or silver chloride on titanium dioxide as a carrier material, which is used as an aqueous dispersion.

The amount of elemental silver and / or silver compound is preferably from 0.0001 to 1% by weight, and more preferably from 0.001 to 0.25% by weight, based on the total washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing aid. It is preferred that the aldehyde is a component of a perfume composition and thus enters the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid.

The amount of aldehyde compound may be between 0.001 and 5 wt .-% based on the total washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid.

Under certain conditions, the aldehydes used, the primary performance of germicidal agent, here elemental silver or a silver compound, support, that is, even have an antibacterial / germicidal effect.

The perfume composition may contain, in addition to one or more aldehyde compound (s), other perfume compounds such as ester type synthetic products, ethers, ketones, alcohols, and hydrocarbons. Preferably, mixtures of different fragrances are used, which together produce an attractive fragrance. A perfume composition may also contain natural fragrance mixtures as available from plant sources. In addition, the perfume composition may comprise organic solvents and / or surfactants.

As the third essential ingredient, the composition contains hydrogen peroxide. The amount of hydrogen peroxide is preferably between 0.01 and 5 wt .-%, and more preferably between 0.1 and 2.5 wt .-%.

The hydrogen peroxide serves as a "sacrificial anode" in the aldehyde- and silver-containing agents and prevents undesired reactions between the aldehydes and the silver compound. In particular, the hydrogen peroxide prevents oxidation of the aldehydes by the silver compounds. Surprisingly, it has been found that the hydrogen peroxide does not undergo any undesired reactions with the other constituents, for example the perfume compounds, the washing, cleaning, after-treatment or washing auxiliaries.

In addition to the elemental silver or the silver compound, the aldehyde compound and the hydrogen peroxide, the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aid may contain further ingredients which have the performance and / or aesthetic properties of the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or detergency further improve. The other ingredients and the physical parameters of the washing, cleaning, aftertreatment or washing aids are determined by their field of application (universal detergent, color detergent, softener, etc.). A person skilled in the art is well aware of which ingredients he selects and combines and in what quantities he uses them. For example, ethoxylated fatty acid amides can be added as a detergency booster.

The preparation of a washing or cleaning agent according to the invention is carried out by means of customary and known methods and processes. For example, the ingredients may simply be mixed in stirred kettles, with water, the acidic components, if present, such as citric acid, and the nonionic surfactants, if present, conveniently presented. Subsequently, the further ingredients, including the hydrogen peroxide and the aldehyde compound, preferably in portions, are added. As a last step, the elemental silver or the silver compound is added.
