Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a multilayer packaging film which can be torn open along a weakening line with the release of a strip-shaped adhesive surface. The strip-shaped adhesive surface forms a reclosure. The packaging film may in particular for packaging for wet wipes, z. B. lotioned hygiene, cosmetic or cleaning wipes are used.

The wet wipes are usually folded overlapping, so that by the removal of a wet wipe and the beginning of the following cloth is pulled out. In order to avoid the drying of the remaining in the package after removal of a wet wipe, self-adhesive labels are applied to the packaging, which cover a tear region of the package and after the first opening of the packaging reclosure of the removal opening allow ( EP 0 030 348 B1 . WO 96/11147 A1 ).

The subsequent application of a large-area adhesive label makes the packaging more expensive, which must be manufactured as a mass-produced very cost. Another disadvantage is that the adhesive labels survive on the outside of the bag, which makes it difficult to stack, handle, transport and pack the bags in larger containers.

Out EP 1 449 789 B1 is a packaging film is known, which can be torn along a line of weakness to release a strip-shaped adhesive surface. In the remaining area, the two films are covered by a permanent adhesive, for. B. on the basis of a PU adhesive, separating connected to each other. When the packaging film is torn open, the inner film is separated at the first weakening line and the outer film is separated at the second weakening line. Since the opening surface of the inner film is connected via the permanent adhesive with the outer film, the removal opening is released when lifting the film section. The reclosability results from the arrangement of the pressure-sensitive adhesive whose width corresponds to the distance between the first line of weakness and the second line of weakness. The process for producing the packaging films is expensive. First, the inner film is partially coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is applied in a strip-shaped pattern. The coated film passes through a drying oven and is then provided in a subsequent cutting station with a line of weakness that surrounds the tear opening. To form the outer layer, a second film is provided, to which a permanent adhesive is also applied in a pattern. The coated film passes through a drying station and is also provided in a subsequent cutting station with a line of weakness, which form the second line of weakness of the packaging film. The film webs must then be accurately merged and joined together, with the exact Care must be taken to match the line of weakness and the areas coated with different adhesives.

Furthermore, in the Scriptures WO 2008/115693 A1 describes a method for producing reclosable openings in films, in which first a first film is cut and provided with lines of weakness, in a second step, a pressure sensitive adhesive is applied in a pattern, then also in a pattern adhesive for permanent lamination is applied, after which first film is connected to a second film and finally the second film is provided with cuts and lines of weakness.

By EP 1 849 579 A1 For example, a method is disclosed for making tear-open packages having a line of weakness. In this case, a weakening line is generated by means of a laser beam.

The US 2006/200107 A1 relates to a resealable package for a plurality of disposable diapers whose reclosure system is associated with the wrapper of the package.

Against this background, the invention is based on the technological problem of simplifying the process for producing a multilayer packaging film which can be torn open along a weakening line with the release of a strip-shaped adhesive surface.

The invention and solution to this problem is a method according to claim 1. In the method according to the invention, a multilayer film is first prepared, which has an outer layer, a sealing layer for the packaging inside and between the two layers at least one having a single-layer functional layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive. By punching or by means of a laser technology, sections of the weakening line are then introduced into the prefabricated film, subsequently to the upper side of the film and to the underside of the film, which are laterally offset from one another and extend from the upper side of the film or the lower side of the film to the functional layer. The lateral offset of the weakening line portions emanating from the film top or film bottom determines the width of the reusable sticky strip which is exposed when the packaging film is torn open along the line of weakness. The line of weakness is applied in a pattern that forms a tear tab. In this case, the first section of the weakening line emanating from the sealing layer is surrounded by a second weakening line section, which starts from the opposite side of the film.

Als Haftklebstoff für die Funktionsschicht eignen sich insbesondere Acrylatkleber, SB-Copolymere (SBS, SIS, SEBS), Silikonkautschukklebstoffe, Naturkautschukklebstoffe, Polyisobutylen und EVA.In the context of the method according to the invention, it is essential that the functional layer consisting of a pressure-sensitive adhesive is introduced or arranged over its entire area between adjacent film layers and extends without interruptions over the entire length and width of the packaging film. The lines of weakness extending from the upper side of the film and lower side of the film extend into the region of the functional layer and end there within the functional layer or at an interface between the functional layer and an adjacent film layer. When the packaging film is torn open, crack propagation occurs along the weakening line sections, whereby the crack continues in a controlled manner within the functional layer or at an interface to an adjacent film layer. It is not necessary to provide zones with different adhesive forces within the functional layer. Suitable pressure-sensitive adhesives for the functional layer are, in particular, acrylate adhesives, SB copolymers (SBS, SIS, SEBS), silicone rubber adhesives, natural rubber adhesives, polyisobutylene and EVA.

The multilayer film can consist of a coextrusion film, wherein the outer layer of the coextrusion film can be printed and coated with a protective lacquer. In the printed and provided with the protective varnish multilayer film then the weakening line sections are introduced. The sealing layer and the outer layer of the coextruded film are preferably made of polyolefin layers.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, a multilayer film is produced and used which has an intermediate layer between the outer layer and the sealing layer, wherein the functional layer is arranged between the intermediate layer and the sealing layer. The intermediate layer and the sealing layer are preferably made of polyolefin layers.

According to a first, in Fig. 2 illustrated embodiment, the multilayer film of a co-extrusion film whose outer layer 3 is printed and coated with a protective lacquer 18. The print is in the Fig. 2 has been shown schematically as a color layer 7. The outer layer 3 and the sealing layer 4 are preferably made of polyolefinic layers.

In the exemplary embodiments 3 to 8, the multilayer film between the outer layer 3 and the sealing layer 4 has an intermediate layer 5 which, like the sealing layer 4, preferably consists of a polyolefinic layer. The functional layer 6 is arranged between the intermediate layer 5 and the sealing layer 4. The outer layer 3 may be made of, for example, a polyethylene terephthalate (PET), oriented polypropylene (OPP, BOPP), oriented polyamide (OPA), and the like. The outer layer 3 may be printed on the outside or printed inversely on the inside. The print is in the Fig. 2 to 7 has been shown schematically as a color layer 7. As outer layer 3 is also a protective varnish into consideration. The polyolefinic layers 4, 5 consist for example of polyethylene or polypropylene. Acrylic adhesives, styrene-butadiene copolymers, adhesives based on a silicone rubber, natural rubber and also sticky polymers such as polyisobutylene can be used as the pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 for the functional layer 6. Other self-adhesive and familiar to the expert adhesive resins should not be excluded.

In the prefabricated composite film sections of the line of weakness 1 are introduced by punching or by means of a laser technology on the upper side of the film and on the underside of the film, which are laterally offset by the dimension a and extend from the top of the film or the film bottom to the functional layer 6. The representation in Fig. 1 if one deduces that the weakening line 1 is applied in a pattern which forms a tear-open tab. In this case, a first section 9 of the weakening line extending from the sealing layer (lower side of the film) is surrounded by a second weakening line section 9 which extends from the opposite side of the film composite. The distance a between these two weakening line sections 8, 9 defines the width of the adhesive surface 2 which is released when the packaging film is torn open.

Based on the layer structure in the Fig. 2 to 8 illustrated packaging films are explained below various process variants of the method according to the invention.

For the production of in Fig. 2 A multi-layer coextrusion film 10 having two polyolefinic layers 3, 4 and a functional layer 6 arranged between these two layers of a pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 is produced. The outer layer 3 of the coextrusion film is printed (ink layer 7) and coated with a protective lacquer 18. In the printed and provided with the protective varnish 18 multi-layer film then weakening line sections 8, 9 are introduced, which extends from the top of the film or the film bottom, each extending to the functional layer 6. The weakening line sections 8, 9 terminate at the interface between the functional layer 6 and the inside of the package They can also end within the functional layer 6 or overlap in the vertical direction.

For the production of in Fig. 3 A coextrusion film 10 having two polyolefinic layers 4, 5 and a functional layer 6 of a pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 arranged between the two polyolefin layers 4, 5 is likewise produced. By laminating a film 17 forming the outer layer 3, the coextrusion film 10 is further processed into a film composite, into which weakening line sections 8, 9 are then introduced, which each extend from the upper side of the film or the underside of the film up to the functional layer 6. As shown in Fig. 3 The weakening line sections 8, 9 terminate at the interface between the functional layer 6 and the sealing layer 4 forming the packaging inside. The weakening line sections 8, 9 can also terminate within the functional layer 6 or can also overlap in the vertical direction. In the context of the invention, it is for example that the introduced in the film bottom weakening line section 9 extends to the interface between the functional layer 6 and the polyolefinic intermediate layer 5, while the outgoing from the film top weakening line section 8 as shown in FIG Fig. 3 extends to the interface between the functional layer 6 and the lower sealing layer 4. The outer film 17 is printed on the inside inverse in the embodiment. The inverse imprint was shown as a color layer 7. That on the basis of Fig. 3 described method can be carried out particularly easily and requires, for example, for the application of the functional layer 6 no special application equipment.

For the production of in Fig. 4 illustrated packaging film is first produced by blown film extrusion at least a two-layer film tube, having an outer polyolefinic layer and an inner layer of a pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 or a polymer having tacky properties. The inner layer of the film tube consists for example of metallocene PE, ie a polyethylene produced using metallocene catalysts, or EVA. The film tube is folded together to form a multilayer flat film 11 which has outer polyolefinic layers 4, 5 as well as a two-layer functional layer 6 consisting of pressure-sensitive adhesive 16. The flat film 11 is further processed by laminating a film 17 forming the outer layer 3 to form a film composite into which the weakening line sections 8, 9 are then introduced, which each extend from the lower side of the film or the upper side of the film to the functional layer 6. The weakening line sections 8, 9 terminate within the functional layer 6, preferably at the interface formed by laying flat of the film tube. The outer film 17, which may consist of PET or BOPP, for example, can be printed on the outside. In the exemplary embodiment, the film 17 to be laminated has been printed inversely on its inner surface facing the multilayer flat film 11. The printed image is shown schematically as a color layer 7.

The tearing behavior of the packaging film can be further improved if strips of a diene finish 12 are printed on a film surface adjoining the functional layer 6 in a pattern adapted to the course of the subsequently produced weakening line 1. As a Dehäsivlack, which is also referred to in practice as a release liner, PA systems, 2K-acrylate systems, silicone and PVC systems can be used. The application of the Dehäsivlacks 12 can be considered in the context of the method according to the invention in various ways. The methods are described below on the basis of Fig. 5 to 8 explained.

For the production of in Fig. 5 2, two coextrusion films 13, 13 'are produced, which have on their one side a sealable polyolefin layer 4, 5 and on their other side a layer of a functional adhesive 6 forming the functional layer 6. On one of the two coextrusion films 13, 13 'strips of a Dehäsivlack 12 are printed in a pattern that is adapted to the course of the weakening line 1 generated later. The application of the adhesive varnish 12 takes place on the existing of the pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 layer of the selected coextrusion film 13, 13 '. The coextrusion films 13, 13 'are subsequently joined to form a laminate 14, which has polyolefin layers 4, 5 as well as a double-layered functional layer 6 of pressure-sensitive adhesive. In the functional layer 6 while zones are incorporated, which consist of the Dehäsivlack 12 and reduce the bond strength between the two adhesive layers 6, 6 'locally. The laminate 14 is further processed by laminating a film 17 forming the outer layer 3 to form a film composite into which the weakening line sections 8, 9 are then introduced, which each extend from the upper side of the film or the lower side of the film to the functional layer 6. The representation in Fig. 5 If one assumes that the outgoing of the film top and the film bottom portions 8, 9 of the weakening line 1 to each other so that the weakening line sections 8, 9 are substantially adjacent to the edges of the existing of the Dehäsivlack 12 strips.

For the production of in Fig. 6 illustrated packaging film is prepared by coextrusion or in a laminating at least two-ply film material 15 having on one side of a polyolefin layer 5 and on its other side an outer side suitable as a packaging outer side 3. On the polyolefin layer 5 of the film material 15 is then using a two-dimensionally applied pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 laminated on a polyolefinic sealing film 4, wherein on the inside of the sealing film 4 or on the polyolefin layer 5 of the film material 15 prior to the laminating strips of a Dehäsivlack 12 are printed. The Dehäsivlack 12 is applied in a pattern that is adapted to the course of the weakening line 1 generated later. In the film composite produced by the described method, which comprises at least four layers, then the weakening line sections 8, 9 are introduced, which extend starting from the upper side of the film or the lower side of the film up to the pressure-sensitive adhesive 16 forming the functional layer 6. The portions of the weakening line 1 emanating from the upper side of the film and the underside of the film are offset so that the sections 8, 9 of the weakening line 1 are substantially adjacent to the edges of the strips consisting of the adhesive enamel 12.

In the Fig. 6 shown film is on the outside of the upper, z.
