Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a transformer core for a power transformer, which has at least two at least approximately congruent and mutually parallel transformer core plates with an at least similar plan, wherein in the plan view at least one through hole is provided and the transformer core plate consists at least predominantly of an amorphous ferromagnetic material, as well a power transformer with such a transformer core.
It is well known that transformers are used to power transfer the power supply by voltage adjustment from a first voltage level to a second one. Instead of previously widely used power transformers with oil filling, power transformers in dry construction, so-called dry-type transformers, are increasingly being used.
In this case, the construction of a power transformer in dry construction is very similar to that of the power transformer with oil filling, as well as power transformer in dry construction, the respective winding body are applied to cores of ferromagnetic material, which are connected at both ends with yokes and form a magnetic circuit.
However, in the case of the dry-type transformers, the heat loss, which was absorbed by the oil in the case of power transformers filled with oil and discharged via suitable cooling surfaces or separate coolers, is dissipated by air convection. The lower specific heat capacity of the air compared to oil means a performance limitation for dry-type transformers.
Ohmic losses occur in the windings of a loaded transformer due to the winding currents and eddy currents in the conductor material. These ohmic losses are superimposed by no-load losses and possibly short-circuit losses as well as hysteresis losses.
The no-load losses are mainly determined by the induction and nature of the core and are approximately independent of the operating temperature of the transformer. The short-circuit losses are temperature-dependent and increase at constant load with the temperature or the resistivity of the conductor material. To keep the hysteresis losses as small as possible, core materials with a very narrow hysteresis loop are preferred.
In order to reduce the resulting heat losses of a dry-type transformer and thus to improve its load capacity, amorphous core material is used in place of grain-oriented core material in recent times.
However, the use of amorphous materials requires new constructions and processing because, on the one hand, because of the lower flux density compared to a conventional transformer core, larger core cross-sections are required and, on the other hand, an amorphous core material is more sensitive to higher temperatures than a grain-oriented core sheet.
Since the amorphous material, which is usually available as flat strip material, is very sensitive mechanically, the available widths of the strip material are also limited. Accordingly, the mechanically realizable sizes of a transformer core are limited and the achievable rated power of transformers with a core of amorphous material.
While conventional core dry type transformers have power ratings up to 20MVA and above, the current limit values for amorphous material core are about 1 MVA.
In addition, transformers with amorphous cores experience high levels of noise, which must be reduced by special noise reduction measures. In order to counteract the heat load due to the current-dependent evolution of heat arising at elevated power density of such transformers with cores made of amorphous material, cooling measures are required, but should not be at the expense of noise insulation.
It has already been shown that a cooling channel between two cores with openings for air flow significantly reduces the efficiency of the noise reduction measure.
Based on this prior art, it is an object of the invention to provide a transformer core made of amorphous material, which makes it possible to increase the achievable since then performance of a power transformer with amorphous core and at the same time to make provisions for sufficient cooling. The object of the invention is also to provide a corresponding power transformer.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Accordingly, it is provided that the transformer core formed by the at least two transformer core plates has a heat sink, which is formed by at least one heat pipe.
As heat pipes simple device arrangements are referred to, which basically contain a hermetically encapsulated volume, which is usually formed in the form of a tube. It is filled with a readily vaporizable working medium, for example water, which is selected according to the site of use and which fills the volume to a small extent in the liquid and to a greater extent in the vaporous state. In the heat pipe are accordingly each a heat transfer surface for heat source and sink.
The working medium begins to evaporate upon heat input. As a result, the pressure in the vapor space is increased locally above the liquid level, which leads to a low pressure gradient within the heat pipe. The resulting vapor flows in the direction of the condenser, where it condenses because of the lower temperature (lower heat). The previously recorded latent heat is released again.
There are in principle two possible versions for a heat pipe, namely on the one hand the so-called "heat pipe" and on the other hand the so-called "thermosyphon". Here, the term heat pipe is not to be understood as a designation for the geometric shape, but it relates solely to the technical function. Accordingly, a heat pipe provided for use according to the invention may also have a plate-like shape without impairing the function as a heat pipe.
As a heat pipe, a heat pipe is called, which is provided on the inside with a capillary structure. This capillary structure allows condensate to be transported against the gravitational force from the condenser to the evaporator forming the heat sink. One gains another degree of freedom in the relative placement of the condenser and evaporator, but must accept that the performance of the heat pipe is limited by the capillary process.
The thermosyphon is a heat pipe in which the condensate is transported back to the evaporator by the gravitational force. Here, the condenser must be located above the evaporator. In general, the Thermosiphon compared to the heatpipe cheaper and allows for the same cross section a higher heat transport rate.
The terms heat source or heat sink and their associated ranges refer to the heat pipe system, while when applied to the heat pipe transformer system, the heat receiving side of the heat pipe is a heat sink for the transformer.
Preferably, the heat sink disposed in the transformer core is provided by a heat pipe designed as a heat pipe or thermosyphon, that is, dissipates the heat from the transformer core without mechanical means.
According to a further preferred embodiment of the invention, a plurality of heat pipes are provided, which are each arranged between each two transformer core disks.
A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the heat pipes are included in the noise insulation of the transformer, that is, that they lie with the largest possible part of acting as a heat sink surface on the transformer core, so as to achieve the largest possible contact area with this, and On the other hand, the sound insulation provided for noise reduction does not affect or only insignificantly. Comment: For a good heat transfer a firm connection from heat source to heat sink (evaporator part of the heat pipe) is absolutely obligatory, i. relative movements / vibrations should always be avoided.
In order to support this measure on the material side is provided according to a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention that the heat pipes are made of both heat-conducting and sound-absorbing properties exhibiting material. Such a material, which has inferior thermal conduction properties and instead as compromise improved noise insulating properties, can be obtained, for example, by combining corresponding materials, for example in sandwich construction. Another measure for supporting the noise insulation of the transformer core is provided that the at least two transformer core disks, between which the at least one heat pipe is arranged, are at least partially spaced by means of spacer elements. Preferably, the spacers are either surrounded by sound-absorbing material, so that this also the otherwise significant noise can be significantly reduced.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, each heat pipe is designed such that it is provided with a heat radiating surface which is arranged on the periphery of the transformer core. Likewise, the region of the heat pipe which acts as a heat sink can also have an adapted design designed as a heat absorption surface.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the at least one heat exchanger tube is plate-shaped, so as to make the effective heat-absorbing surface as large as possible and thereby to improve the cooling effect.
According to the invention, a power transformer is provided which is formed with a transformer core and at least one winding according to the previously explained embodiments.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the power transformer is characterized in that it is designed as a three-phase transformer, each having at least three primary and three secondary windings.
These and other advantageous embodiments and improvements of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
