Das in den Fig. 1 und 2 gezeigte Presswerkzeug 1 besitzt zwei Presshebel 2, die bezüglich einer Mittellinie 6 symmetrisch angeordnet und an einem Lagerteil 7 schwenkbar gelagert sind. Die Presshebel 2 besitzen jeweils an einem vorderen Ende zwei Backen 3 und an einem hinteren Ende zwei Spreizarme 10. Die Presshebel 2 können gegenläufig jeweils um eine Schwenkachse 8 verschwenkt werden. Das Verschwenken erfolgt mit einem an sich bekannten Pressgerät, von dem hier lediglich zwei Rollen 11 gezeigt sind, die an einem vorderen Ende eines Stössels befestigt sind. Solche Pressgeräte sind bekannt und hierzu wird auf die oben erwähnte CH-A-687 368 verwiesen. Beim betätigen des Presswerkzeuges 1 werden diese beiden Rollen 11 jeweils an einen Spreizarm 10 angelegt und gegen das Lagerteil 7 bewegt. Das Lagerteil 7 ist an Bolzen 9 fest mit dem Gehäuse des Pressgerätes verbunden. Durch den Hub des Stössels werden die beiden Rollen 11 somit zwischen die beiden Spreizarme 10 bewegt und diese werden dadurch gespreizt. Die beiden Rollen 11 gleiten hierbei an innenseitig an den Spreizarmen 10 angeordneten Einlaufkurven 12 entlang. Die beiden Backen 3 werden dadurch entsprechend einander angenähert. Dies gilt ebenfalls für zwei Flächen an der Innenseite der Backen 3 und Ausnehmungen 4. Ist zwischen den beiden Backen 3 beispielsweise ein Fitting oder ein Rohrende angeordnet, so wird der Fitting bzw. das Rohrende durch die sich schliessenden Backen 3 verpresst. Die Ausnehmungen 4 sind hierbei mit entsprechenden Konturen versehen. Mit den Pfeilen 14 sind die Kräfte angedeutet, mit denen der zu verpressende Gegenstand auf die Backen 3 wirken. Die Belastung betrifft nicht nur die Backe 3', sondern auch das Lagerteil 7 und insbesondere die Schwenkachse 8 bzw. das entsprechende Lager. Die beiden Rollen 11 und 11' sind für die Messung dieser Kurven getrennt angetrieben. Bei einem üblichen Pressgerät sind die beiden Rollen 11 und 11' am gleichen Stössel befestigt. Eine Klemmkraftbegrenzung wird dann somit auch dann erreicht, wenn lediglich einer der beiden Presshebel 2 ein Klemmkraftbegrenzungsmittel 13 bzw. einen entsprechenden Anschlag aufweist. Claims (9)

  1. Pressing tool with two two-armed pressing levers (2) which are attached to a bearing part (7) in a contradirectionally pivotable manner and which have in each case a jaw (3) with an engagement region (4) for processing an article and a spreading arm (10) to be connected to a pressing appliance, the spreading arm (10) having a run-in curve (12) for a roller (11) of the pressing appliance, there being arranged on at least one of the two pressing levers (2) a clamping-force limiting means (13) which has the effect that, after pressing, the force upon the jaws (3) rises no further and the spreading arms can be spread essentially no further, characterized in that the clamping-force limiting means (13) is a stop, against which the corresponding roller (11) stands after running through the run-in curve (12).
  2. Pressing tool according to Claim 1, characterized in that the clamping-force limiting means (13) is arranged essentially at the end of the run-in curve (12).
  3. Pressing tool according to either one of Claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the clamping-force limiting means (13) is formed as a cam.
  4. Pressing tool according to Claim 3, characterized in that the cam projects from the run-in curve (12) toward a centre line (6).
  5. Pressing tool according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a clamping-force limiting means (13) is arranged on each of the two pressing levers (2).
  6. Pressing tool according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it is provided for making pipe connections and the jaws (3) have in each case a mouth-like recess (4).
  7. Use of a pressing tool according to Claim 6 for the connection of composite pipes by means of a fitting.
  8. Use of a pressing tool according to one of Claims 1 to 6 for clamping or cutting.
  9. Use of a pressing tool according to one of Claims 1 to 6 as an intermediate jaw for a pressing ring.
