Abstract

Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Überspannungsschutzelement (1) ist sowohl eine sichere und gute elektrische Verbindung im Normalzustand als auch eine sichere Abtrennung eines defekten überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelements (3) dadurch gewährleistet, dass das überspannungsbegrenzende Bauelement (3) drehbar im Gehäuse (2) gelagert ist, dass im Normalzustand des Überspannungsschutzelements (1) mindestens ein Pol des überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelements (3) über eine Steckverbindung (8, 9) mit einem Anschlusselement (4, 5) verbunden sind, dass mindestens ein Federelement (12) derart zwischen dem Gehäuse (2) und dem überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelement (3) angeordnet ist, dass bei thermischer Überlastung des überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelements (3) dieses durch das Federelement (12) so gedreht wird, dass mindestens ein Pol des überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelements (3) nicht mehr mit dem zugeordneten Anschlusselement (4, 5) in elektrisch leitendem Kontakt steht, und dass zwischen dem überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelement (3) und dem Gehäuse (2) eine thermisch auftrennende Verbindung angeordnet ist, die dann auftrennt, wenn die Temperatur des überspannungsbegrenzenden Bauelements (3) eine vorgegebene Grenztemperatur überschreitet.
