Claims (17)

  1. Drain, more particularly for sanitary fittings, comprising a housing (4), whereby within the housing (4) an inflow channel (5) and a discharge collecting channel (12) are arranged, which are separated from one another by a retention area (10) in order to form a trap, whereby a casing cover (6) is provided on the upper side of the housing (4) covering a central area of the housing (4) and delimiting an overflow section (13) connecting the retention area (10) with the discharge collecting channel (12), and whereby the inflow channel (5) extends between an outer wall (7) of the housing (4) and a partition wall (8) arranged within the housing (4), whereby the overflow section (13) extends vertically beyond the upper edge of the inflow channel (5), characterised in that the retention area (10) is connected to the inflow channel (5) via a bottom connection (9), whereby the discharge collecting channel (12) is arranged between the inflow channel (5) and the retention area (10).
  2. Drain in accordance with claim 1 characterised in that the height of the upper edge of the inflow channel (5) essentially corresponds to the retention height of the retention area (10).
  3. Drain in accordance with claim 1 or 2 characterised in that the underside of the casing cover (6) is designed to be curved, at least in sections, in order to avoid flow edges.
  4. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 3 characterised in that the retention area (10) and the discharge collecting channel (12) are separated from each other by means of a cylindrical retention wall (11).
  5. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that the discharge collecting channel (12) is arranged in an annular fashion around the retention area (10).
  6. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that the retention area (10) and the discharge collecting channel (12) are essentially designed to be rotationally symmetrical with regard to a vertical axis of symmetry.
  7. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the discharge collecting channel (12) opens out into a discharge connector (18) which leads laterally out of the outer wall (7) of the housing (4).
  8. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 7 characterised in that the housing (4) has an essentially cylindrical external shape.
  9. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 8 characterised in that the housing cover (6) can be removed from the housing (4).
  10. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 9 characterised by a decorative cover (3) which is placed on the housing (4) and the housing cover (6).
  11. Drain in accordance with claim 10 characterised in that the decorative cover (3) is held on the housing (4) by way of a dimensionally stable carrier (16).
  12. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 11 characterised in that on its underside the housing (4) is closed off with a housing bottom section (17) mounted on the outer wall (7).
  13. Drain in accordance with any one of claims 1 to 12 characterised in that the trap height (hS) is at least 25 mm, preferably at least 50 mm.
  14. Sanitary basin with a basin body (2) which at a recess (1) has a drainage opening, characterised by a drain in accordance with claims 1 to 13 which is arranged at the drainage opening.
  15. Sanitary basin in accordance with claim 14 whereby the upper side of the drain is approximately level with a flat area of the basin body (2) adjoining the recess (1).
  16. Sanitary basin in accordance with claim 15 whereby the recess (1) extends back between 15 mm and 40 mm from the area adjoining the recess.
  17. Sanitary basin in accordance with any one of claims 14 to 16 whereby the drain, starting at the lower edge of the recess (1), projects less than 70 mm, preferably less than 60 mm downwards.
