Description

The invention relates to a flushing device according to the preamble of claim 1.

The consumption of rinse water can be significantly reduced in a water closet, if according to the WO 95/04196 Applicant during a rinse the water present in the siphon arc is set in motion with a so-called jet nozzle. With the water discharged through the nozzle into the siphon at a comparatively high velocity, the siphon water can be accelerated toward the exit, so that the siphon is better purged. The disadvantage here is that caused by the water flowing into the siphon additional noise and also the effect of the jet nozzle can be at least greatly reduced by solids in the siphon. Water closets, each with a arranged in the descending region of the siphon jet nozzle are also by the US 2008/0060122 A and the generic US 3,984,878 known.

By the EP-A-103 43 38 a water closet has become known, which also has a jet nozzle. Through the nozzle, a mixture of water and air is injected. At the front end of the nozzle, a vacuum chamber is arranged to ensure that the water-air mixture is channeled in the direction of the axis of the inlet of the siphon, as mentioned in [0027]. The injection of said mixture should also cause additional noise.

The US 287,225 discloses a water closet, which has a nozzle in the flushing water nozzle, with which a water jet can be directed against the siphon water for rinsing. When the water jet hits the siphon water, loud noises and splash water are likely to occur.

Studies have shown that in the presence of solid components in the siphon, the accelerating effect of the jet nozzle is greatly reduced.

The invention has for its object to provide a flushing device of the type mentioned, which avoids the disadvantages mentioned and also allows an even more effective cleaning effect.

The object is achieved in a generic flushing device according to claim 1. With such a flow cone, the descending region of the siphon can be cleaned particularly effectively. This area is usually more polluted than the overlying area of the toilet bowl. This usually slightly dirty area can usually be sufficiently cleaned by the main rinse generated at the edge of the toilet bowl. With the flow cone, the contents of the siphon can be ejected and also said area can be cleaned more effectively than before. This flow moves downwards at a comparatively high speed.

Due to the curved bowl shape, the flow can be compressed and finally can hit a saddle point in the lower part of the toilet bowl on the inside of the toilet bowl and reflected there. This creates a very compact wall jet, which greatly accelerates the water in the lower part of the siphon towards the exit. This lower area of the siphon is usually the most polluted area. The wall jet has a very high impulse density and thus creates strong local dynamic forces on the inside of the siphon, on the siphon water and on solids that are in the lower part of the siphon. Both the siphon water and the solids are pushed against the outlet particularly effectively by this wall jet. This process continues until all the contents of the toilet bowl have been flushed out. Due to the high momentum density, residual solids left on the inside of the bowl dissolve even more thoroughly than before. The inventive flushing device thus allows an even more thorough flushing and thus even better hygiene. In addition, it has been shown that the noise is significantly reduced.

According to the invention it is provided that the means are arranged in the area of the siphon water line of the toilet bowl. This can be a special effective wall jet are formed. The downward flow cleans the inside of the toilet bowl below the siphon water line. The means are preferably arranged immediately above or below the siphon water line.

According to the invention, it is provided that the means have a plurality of impulse nozzles or at least one annular gap. The plurality of impulse nozzles are arranged in a ring and give the conical downward flow. These impulse nozzles can be designed the same. But it is also conceivable that these impulse nozzles are designed differently. Alternatively to a plurality of impulse nozzles, said means may have an annular gap. The water flows down through this annular gap and also results in a conical flow. The annular gap can extend around the entire inside of the toilet bowl or the siphon. However, it is also conceivable training with several such annular gaps. The pulse nozzles can be arranged individually on the toilet bowl, but alternatively be connected to each other via an annular channel. This annular channel may extend partially or completely around the circumference of the toilet bowl. Also conceivable is a combination of impulse nozzles and at least one annular gap.

The pulse can be generated by water, air or a water-air mixture.

According to a development of the invention, it is provided that the descending region of the siphon has a downwardly tapering inner side and that during flushing medium flowing out of the means flows along this inner side down to a saddle point arranged in a lower region of the siphon. The saddle point is preferably seen in the flow direction before the lowest point of the siphon. The wall jet forming in the saddle point is preferably directed so as to extend horizontally into the siphon. Preferably, the wall jet consists of one or more rotating vortices and a core jet. This results in a particularly thorough cleaning and rinsing of the siphon.

The invention also relates to a method for operating such a flushing device. Preferably, in addition to said rinsing, a main rinse is triggered by said means, wherein the rinse water from a conventional rinsing channel into the Toilet bowl flows. This main rinse can be done substantially simultaneously with the rinsing to the said means. Conceivable, however, is also a serial flush. The main rinse can thus also take place before or after rinsing with the means mentioned.

In the Fig. 1 The flushing device 1 shown has a toilet bowl 2, which has an inlet 3 and an outlet 21. In the region of the inlet 3 a per se known and not shown here flushing channel is arranged, from which flows in a main rinse water in the direction of arrows 6 along an inner side 27 down into a siphon 4.

The water 13 located in the siphon 4 is ejected from the siphon 4 and leaves the toilet bowl 2 at the outlet 21 and from there into a downpipe not shown here. The toilet bowl 2 thus has a descending region which extends to a vertex 25 of the siphon 4. Then the ascending area begins. The water 13 forms a siphon water line 24 in the descending region and a siphon water line 24 'in the ascending region. Both siphon water lines 24 and 24 'are of course in the same horizontal plane. The water of the main rinse, for example, comes from a cistern, not shown here, or directly from a water pipe.

In the region of the siphon water line 24 in the descending region of the toilet bowl 2 means for generating a pulse are provided. These funds include according to Fig. 1 a plurality of impulse nozzles 8, which form a flow cone 14 along the inside 27 of the toilet bowl 2. This flow cone 14 has a cleaning effect on the inside of the toilet bowl 2 in the descending region. These pulse nozzles 8 are arranged on a distributor ring 11, which is annular and forms a likewise annular channel 12. The openings of the pulse nozzles 8 are arranged on the inside 27 of the toilet bowl 2 and in the case of a flushing in each case form a jet 14a which is directed downwards and has a comparatively high speed. The distributor ring 11 has an inlet tube 10 through which water can be introduced into the channel 12 in the direction of the arrow 9. The water is introduced here under pressure. However, instead of water, air or an air-water mixture can be introduced into the channel 12. Air or an air-water mixture then flows from the impulse nozzles 8 into the toilet bowl 2. The water 13 is accelerated toward the outlet 21 through the rays 14a. Due to the conical or curved inner side 27, the beams 14a of the pulse nozzles 8 converge in the shape of the flow cone 14. The beam 14a or the flow cone is focused on a saddle point 26, which is located in the lower region on the inner side 27 of the siphon 4. The saddle point 26, which of course is not a point in the geometric sense, is formed by a lower portion of the inner side 22 of the siphon bow 4. By a reflection of the flow cone 14 in the saddle point 26, a wall jet 28, which forms in Fig. 1 indicated by dashed lines. This wall jet 28 has a very high momentum density and extends substantially horizontally into the siphon arc 4. By this wall jet 28, the water in the siphon 4 in the direction of arrows 18 is first substantially horizontal and then in the direction of the arrows 19 in the ascending region of the siphon 4 accelerated diagonally upwards. As a result, the water 13 is ejected from the siphon bend 4 and passes into an outlet pipe 5 to the outlet 21. At the same time, any solids present are also expelled with the water 13. Here, the usually heavily soiled inside 22 is rinsed very effectively in the area of the siphon 4 and thus also cleaned of solids. The emptied siphon sheet 4 is refilled with water of the main rinse. The pulse is applied during a comparatively short period of, for example, two to three seconds.

The wall jet 28 can according to Fig. 1 have rotating vortices 16, which the Rinse and clean the inside of the siphon arch 4. In particular, two symmetrical vortices 16 were detected. In addition, the wall jet 28 may have a directed against the outlet 21 core beam not shown here. This also causes the expulsion of the water 13, as shown by the arrows 18 and 19.

In the Fig. 2 shown flushing device 1 'differs from that according to Fig. 1 in that, instead of the plurality of impulse nozzles 8, an annular gap 20 is provided from which the water in the form of a flow cone 14 'flows downwards. The annular gap 20 is also substantially annular and, as can be seen, directed downwards along the inner side 27. Also in this case, the inflowing medium may be water, air or an air-water mixture. The supply of the medium takes place here also via a channel 12 '. Instead of a single circumferential annular gap 20, a plurality of annular gaps may also be present. Also conceivable is a combination of individual impulse nozzles 8 and an annular gap 20. Also conceivable is an embodiment in which two or more such annular gaps 20 are arranged one above the other. This is also conceivable in the embodiment according to Fig. 1 In this case, a plurality of annular flow cones 14 would thus be arranged one above the other. Accordingly, then two or more channels 12 and 12 'may be provided.

The flushing device 1 "according to Fig. 3 essentially corresponds to that according to Fig. 1 , However, the impulse nozzles 8 are arranged here directly above the siphon water line 24. The flow cones 14 are thus formed of the siphon water line 24 along the inside 27 and then reach the height of the siphon water line 24 into the water 13 of the siphon bend 4. A corresponding arrangement is in the flushing device 1 'according to Fig. 2 possible. The pulse nozzles 8 and the annular gap 20 can also be arranged directly below the siphon water line 24 in the descending region of the siphon bend 4. Preferably, however, these are arranged substantially in front of the vertex 25.
