Dispositif (1) de protection d'un appareil d'arrosage automatique (100) destiné à être placé dans le sol, comprenant : - une première partie (2) délimitant intérieurement un logement, destinée à être placée dans le sol ; - une deuxième partie (3) placée dans ladite première partie (2), délimitant elle-même un logement destiné à contenir l'appareil (100), cette deuxième partie (3) étant mobile par rapport à la première partie (2) entre une position de rétraction, dans laquelle une première extrémité de cette deuxième partie (3) se trouve au niveau d'une première extrémité de la première partie (2), et une position de sortie, dans laquelle cette première extrémité fait saillie par rapport à ladite première extrémité de la première partie (2) ; - des moyens de maintien (25), maintenant normalement ladite deuxième partie (3) en position de rétraction ; - une chambre (10) que délimitent lesdites première et deuxième parties (2, 3), et - une conduite (101) d'alimentation de l'appareil (100) en liquide d'arrosage ; dispositif caractérisé en ce que - lesdites première et deuxième parties (2, 3) sont de forme générale tubulaire, ladite deuxième partie (3) étant placée dans ladite première partie (2), et - ladite deuxième partie (3) présente une collerette (17) définissant un alésage ajusté à un corps cylindrique (100a) que comprend l'appareil (100) et est équipée, au niveau de cet alésage, d'un joint (20) coulissant le long de ce corps cylindrique (100a) lors du mouvement de ladite deuxième partie (3) par rapport à ladite première partie (2), cette collerette (17) délimitant ladite chambre (10) avec une paroi périphérique (5) que comprend ladite première partie (2) et avec un fond (6) que comprend également cette première partie (2).
