Definitions
- the present invention relates to the field of watchmaking. More specifically, it concerns a correction device for a timepiece, of the type comprising a winding stem, a deflection gear and a corrective mobile mounted walker between a first and a second correction position.
- Such correction devices are known to those skilled in the art. They are intended to correct two time indication members for the same position of the winding stem, each of said members being corrected in a direction of rotation only.
- the corrective mobile is mounted on a rocker, or on a movable axis along a groove arcuate.
- the rotation of the winding stem in a first direction drives the gear, which itself causes the pivoting movement of the rocker or the displacement of the axis in its groove, to a first correction position.
- the corrective mobile is then in kinematic connection, directly or indirectly, via a reference, with a first time indicating member.
- the invention makes it possible to overcome this problem by proposing a correction system comprising a mobile corrector mounted sliding between two correction positions, operational in both directions of rotation, for each time indicating member. More specifically, the invention relates to a correction device for a timepiece provided with a first and a second time indicating member comprising a winding stem, a corrective mobile mounted walker between a first and a second position correction, in which the mobile is in kinematic connection respectively with the first and second time indicating member, and means for driving the corrective mobile using the winding stem.
- the direction of rotation of the winding stem has no effect on the positioning of the corrective mobile.
- each time indicating member can be corrected by the corrective wheel in both directions of rotation.
- the correction device thus gains in flexibility and efficiency.
- the correction device for a timepiece represented in figure 1 conventionally comprises a winding stem 2, movable between a winding position, and a correction position.
- the winding stem 2 is movable between a winding position and two correction positions. Both of these arrangements are known to those skilled in the art and will not be described in more detail.
- a correction pinion 3 is mounted on the rod 2.
- the pinion 3 is engaged with a gear 4, formed, in this case, three returns 5, 6 and 7 mounted free in rotation.
- the return train 4 may comprise indifferently more or less than three references, without the operation correction device 1 is affected.
- the return 7 is mounted on an axis of rotation 8, which coincides with the axis of pivoting of a correction lever 9. This is pivotally mounted between two correction positions respectively referenced A and B.
- a correction mobile 10 is mounted on the rocker 9. It is formed of a corrector wheel 11 and a correcting finger 12 assembled together in rotation on a common axis 13, mounted on the rocker 9. The corrector mobile 10 is rotated by the reference 7, engaged with the correction wheel 11.
- the correction mobile 10 is in kinematic connection with a first time indicating member, namely a date ring 14.
- a first time indicating member namely a date ring 14.
- the correcting finger 12 is engaged with a toothing 15 of said ring 14, which allows the rapid correction of the date indication, as is well known to those skilled in the art.
- the corrective mobile 10 is in kinematic connection with a second time indicating member, namely a pair of needles 16 represented in FIG. figure 6 .
- the corrective wheel 11 is engaged with a gear 17, which drives a roadway 18, via the wheel 17b (large wheel with the spring in the center), integral in rotation with a minute hand .
- the roadway 18 drives, via a timer wheel 19, a wheel of the hours 20, itself rotatably secured with an hour hand.
- Such an assembly is well known to those skilled in the art and allows correction of the indication of the time.
- the correction device 1 represented in figures 1 and 2 , further comprises a selection mechanism of the correction position, comprising a selector arm 21, pivotally mounted about an axis 22.
- Said selector arm 21 has a first end 21 integral in displacement with the corrector mobile 10.
- the end 21a has an oblong hole 23 in which is engaged the axis 13.
- the selector arm 21 further comprises a second end 21b formed of a spout 24. It bears, under the action of a leaf spring 25, on an angular positioning member 26 comprising two types of bearing sectors 26a and 26b, respectively corresponding to the correction positions A and B.
- the angular positioning member 26 is pivotally mounted so as to present to the selector arm 21, alternately a bearing sector or the other.
- the angular positioning member 26 is formed of a column wheel, the bearing sectors 26a and 26b being respectively defined by the bottom of the inter-column spaces and columns.
- the angular positioning member 26 is formed of a shuttle.
- the correction position A may be defined by a locking pin 45 mounted at the end 21a of the selector arm 21.
- the column wheel 26 is actuated by a push button 27 provided with a spout 28.
- the push button 27 is disposed substantially above the winding stem 2.
- the operation of the correction device 1 is as follows.
- the correction pinion 3 is positioned to drive the corrective wheel 10 in rotation, by means of the deflection gear 4.
- the user selects the time indicating member to be corrected, by means of the push button 27.
- a first pressure on said push button 27 makes it possible to rotate the column wheel 26 by means of the spout 28 under the action of the spring.
- blade 25, the selector arm 21 tilts until the spout 24 comes to rest at the bottom of an inter-column space 26a, or, alternatively, until its end 21 has come to bear on the pin 45, as shown in figure 1 . In doing so, the selector arm 21 drives the corrector 10 mounted on the latch 9 via its end 21a.
- the correction device 1 At the end of the movement, it positions and maintains the corrective mobile 10 in engagement with the toothing 15 of the date ring 14.
- the correction device 1 is thus in position A. If the user actuates the winding stem 2 in a first direction of rotation, the date ring 14 rotates in a first direction of rotation, if it actuates it in the other, the ring 14 turns in the other.
- a second pressure on the push button 27 again causes the column wheel 26 to rotate by one step.
- the spout 24 now bears on a column 26b, as shown in FIG. figure 2 , and the selector arm 21 tilts against the action of the leaf spring 25, driving the mobile 10 in its movement.
- the selector arm 21 positions and maintains, this time, the corrective wheel 10 meshing with the gear 17.
- the correction device 1 is in position B.
- the hour and minute indication can be corrected in a direction of rotation or the other, at the discretion of the user. It should be noted here that the indication of the date can also be corrected, in a conventional manner, in position B, by means of the correction of the time.
- a third press on the push button 27 returns to the situation of the figure 1 and successive presses have the effect of alternately passing the correction device 1 from one position to the other.
- the figure 3 represents a second embodiment of the correction device 1 according to the invention.
- This embodiment differs from that described with reference to figures 1 and 2 , in that the first end 21a of the selector arm 21 is not integral in displacement with the corrector wheel 10, but arranged to bear on the corrector 10 or on the rocker 9.
- the selection mechanism the correction position further comprises a leaf spring 29 arranged to return the corrector mobile 10, the correction position B to the correction position A.
- the leaf spring 25 can be removed, the selector arm 21 being held in abutment on the positioning member 26 or on the locking pin 45, indirectly, by the action of the leaf spring 29.
- the operation of the correction device 1 presented in figure 3 is similar, in principle, to the functioning of the device presented in figures 1 and 2 . It differs from it, however, in that the selector arm 21 does not cause the corrector 10 to move from position B to position A, because its end 21a is not integral in displacement with this last. It is the action of the leaf spring 29 which allows the corrector mobile 10 to move to the correction position A when the spout 24 of the selector arm 21 bears at the bottom of an inter-column space 26a.
- a third embodiment of the correction device 1 is represented by figure 4 .
- the mechanism for selecting the correction position comprises, again an indicating arm 30, pivotally mounted about an axis 31.
- Said indicating arm 30 has a first end 30a integral in displacement with the corrector mobile 10.
- the end 30a has an oblong orifice 32 in which is engaged the axis 13 of the corrective mobile 10.
- a pointer indicator of the correction mode 33 is mounted to rotate with the indicator arm 30, on the axis 31.
- a spring blade 34 bears on the indicator arm 30, so as to bring the mobile 10 from the position B to the position A, through the end 30a.
- the leaf springs 25 and 29 are superfluous, since the selector arm 21 is this time held in abutment with the positioning member 26 indirectly by the action of the leaf spring 34.
- a fourth embodiment of the correction device 1 according to the invention is distinguished from the previous embodiment in that the indicator needle 33 is mounted to rotate with a pinion 35, and not the indicator arm 30.
- pinion 35 is rotatably mounted in the vicinity of the indicator arm 30.
- a transmission arm 36 is mounted to rotate with the indicator arm 30, on the axis 31. It is terminated by a rake 37 in engagement with the pinion 35.
- FIG 6 illustrates a top view of a timepiece provided with the correction device 1 according to the third and fourth embodiments.
- the needles 16 are movable above a dial 38, and the date ring 14 is visible through a window 39.
- the indicator needle of the correction mode 33 is movable between two indications H (time) and D (date), affixed to the dial 38 and corresponding to the correction positions A and B.
- the operation of the correction device 1 presented in Figures 4 to 6 differs from the operation of device 1 presented in figure 3 , in that the corrector wheel 10 is driven from the correction position B to the position A, by the indicator arm 30, under the action of the leaf spring 34, and not directly by the leaf spring 29.
- the presence of the indicator needle 33 makes it possible to indicate the correction mode on the dial 38. Indeed, when the correction mobile 10 passes from the position A to the position B under the action of the selector arm 21, the indicating arm 30 is rotated through its end 30a integral in displacement with the corrector mobile 10.
- the indicator needle 33 pivots from the position D (date) to the position H (hour), that it is rotationally fast with the indicator arm 30 or driven by the transmission arm 36. Conversely, when the correction wheel 10 passes from the position B to the position A under the action of the leaf spring 34, the indicator needle 33 pivots from the position H at position D. The user then knows to t when it is in the correct position for the date or time.
- the figure 7 illustrates a fifth embodiment of the correction device 1 according to the invention.
- This variant is intended for a timepiece equipped with a drive mechanism of the specific date ring 14. Said mechanism will not be described in detail because it is well known to those skilled in the art.
- this drive mechanism comprises a drive finger 40 mounted on a latch 41.
- the finger 40 performs three turns in 24 hours, two of which are carried out of the toothing 15, and one engaged with the toothing 15.
- the drive mechanism of the date ring 14 controls the pivoting of the latch 41 every three turns.
- the correction device 1, associated with this specific drive mechanism, differs from the device described in FIG. figure 4 and 5 , in that the indicator arm 30 has a second end 30b provided with a pin 42 intended to cooperate with latch 41.
- the correction mobile 10 runs empty if the user tries to correct the date.
- This function makes it possible to avoid damaging, or even breaking, the drive finger 40 or the correcting finger 12, if the correction device 1 is handled without care during the change of date.
- the flip-flop 41 pivots so as to move the finger 40 away from the toothing 15, the indicator arm 30 pivots in turn in the opposite direction, and the corrective wheel 10 comes into engagement with the toothing 15 under the action of the spring 34. The date can be corrected again.
- correction device 1 has been described whose correction capacity is improved compared to a conventional device.
- the correction device according to the invention is not limited to the embodiments which have just been described and various simple modifications and variants can be envisaged by those skilled in the art without departing from the scope of the invention such that defined by the appended claims.
- the correction mobile 10 is mounted between two corrective positions A and B, via a lever 9.
- the corrector mobile 10 could be mounted integral with an axis, mounted itself walker along a groove arcuate.

Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the field of watchmaking. More specifically, it concerns a correction device for a timepiece, of the type comprising a winding stem, a deflection gear and a corrective mobile mounted walker between a first and a second correction position.
Such correction devices are known to those skilled in the art. They are intended to correct two time indication members for the same position of the winding stem, each of said members being corrected in a direction of rotation only. For this purpose, the corrective mobile is mounted on a rocker, or on a movable axis along a groove arcuate. The rotation of the winding stem in a first direction, drives the gear, which itself causes the pivoting movement of the rocker or the displacement of the axis in its groove, to a first correction position. The corrective mobile is then in kinematic connection, directly or indirectly, via a reference, with a first time indicating member. The rotation of the winding stem in the opposite direction produces the reverse movement to the second correction position, in which the corrective mobile is in kinematic connection with the second time indicating member. The correction device thus described is used, for example, to correct a date, in a direction of rotation, and a day of the week, in the other direction. It can also be used to correct a date and a ring time, or a date and a local time. Whatever the time indications thus corrected, each is corrected only in one direction of rotation, which can make the correction operation long and tedious.
The invention makes it possible to overcome this problem by proposing a correction system comprising a mobile corrector mounted sliding between two correction positions, operational in both directions of rotation, for each time indicating member. According to the invention, the correction device also comprises a mechanism for selecting the correction position, comprising a pivotally mounted selector arm cooperating at a first end with the corrector wheel to drive it from the first correction position to the second correction position, an angular positioning member of the selector arm, and a control member of the angular positioning member, said control member being independent of the winding stem.
Thanks to the selector arm intended to drive the corrector mobile from a first correction position to a second correction position, which is actuated independently of the winding stem, the direction of rotation of the winding stem has no effect on the positioning of the corrective mobile. As a result, each time indicating member can be corrected by the corrective wheel in both directions of rotation. The correction device thus gains in flexibility and efficiency.
