Abstract

The invention has for its object to provide a heater with atmospheric firing and exhaust gas monitoring device and a method for its operation, which reliably detect an exhaust gas outlet in the installation and in particular provide security against improper manipulation, endanger the reliability of the heater by the operator or installer could.

Figure imgaf001
The heater according to the invention is characterized in that the exhaust gas monitoring device comprises a thermoelectric generator, which has a heat-conducting connection to the interior of the heater. The thermoelectric generator is arranged at a location that flows around when the burner firing in a normal (allowable) control operation of the heater of air from the environment of the heater and cooled. Under the influence of an adjusting temperature difference T1 between the areas A and B, the thermoelectric generator generates an electrical power L1, a signal S1, a voltage U1 or a current J1, under the influence of which a fuel supply regulating fuel valve opens and / or kept open. When the burner firing and at least partial closure of the exhaust pipe or otherwise conditional exhaust gas outlet in the installation room, and thus in an impermissible operating state, the thermoelectric generator of exhaust gas from the heater is flowed around and heated. Under the influence of an adjusting temperature difference T2 <T1 between the areas A and B, the thermoelectric generator generates an electrical power L2 <L1, a signal S2, a voltage U2 <U1 or a current J2 <J1, under whose influence the fuel valve closes or not open.
