Definitions
- Conventional muzzle brakes can be attached by a thread, a clamping device or by a kind of quick attachment to the gun barrel.
- a device for mounting a muzzle brake on a pipe of a weapon by means of a threaded connection is from the DE 600 12 269 T2 ( EP 1 055 899 B1 ) known.
- the stopping means is constituted by at least one pressure screw transversely disposed between the muzzle brake and the tube and supported on a flattening machined in the depth of the tube.
- Other threaded connections are also known from the prior art CH 240 479 A5 or US 4,545,285 A known.
- the brake comprises two cylindrical surfaces which are arranged on either side of the thread and is held in place by means of a lock nut.
- a tensioning device uses the DE 40 25 546 C2 , This is attached to the rear end of the muzzle brake and connects the muzzle brake with the gun barrel.
- the tensioning device exerts a defined force on the rear end of the muzzle brake for sealing on the front side of the gun barrel mouth end.
- a quick release device which has at least one, preferably two levers with legs on the muzzle brake, through which the muzzle brake is held in a defined area on the barrel.
- the invention has the object to show a further simple attachment of a muzzle brake on a gun barrel, which is also relatively easy.
- the invention is based on the idea to attach the muzzle brake preferably by means of a thread profile in a known manner on the end of the gun barrel.
- the thread profile has thread-free areas on the barrel and in the muzzle brake, so that it can be easily placed on the gun barrel.
- the locking of the muzzle brake on the end of the gun barrel is then carried out by a locking device as part of the attachment. This is followed by the thread profile on the gun barrel another thread, which serves to receive the locking device.
- This locking device consists of at least two springs and at least one so-called locking nut and preferably two so-called locking stones.
- the at the gun barrel in the region of the thread for the locking device integrated and preferably designed as feather keys locking blocks carry the at least one locking nut and the other springs, wherein the locking nut in turn is arranged or clamped between the at least two springs.
- This muzzle brake locking device is attached end to the muzzle brake and around the gun barrel.
- the task of a springs is to press back against the muzzle brake and the front against the locking nut to push the task of the other spring in turn to the back of the locking nut and the front of the nose on the locking blocks or to grab a game between prevent the first spring and the locking stones.
- the first spring may be a wave spring, the other a spring washer.
- the locking blocks also serve to align the springs with the brake and lock nut so that the front spring is brought into contact with the brake forward and thus the thread profile of the muzzle brake.
- the advantage is that the spring in this embodiment is already brought into abutment, where known additional loads occur. This causes a backlash-free load, since the first spring is already in abutment as in the shot load.
- the locking blocks have notches or recesses (a profile) on their side facing the weapon barrel side or surface for the defined recording of the springs and the locking nut.
- so-called locking recesses i.e., notches are mounted in the face of the brake. This is used to bring the first spring defined at this point in terms of area to concern the brake.
- a further locking recess is provided on the end face of the locking nut. This increases the locking capacity of the first spring on the locking nut and definitely prevents loosening of the locking nut.
- the known muzzle brakes are usually made of the same material as the gun barrel, this is often a special steel, and thus have the same thermal behavior, the same expansion properties, etc. as the gun barrel.
- the programming of the ammunition required for programming magnetic coils or the like in the muzzle brakes are integrated ( CH 691 143 A5 ; CH 693 248 A5 ).
- the disadvantage here is that the measurement within the muzzle brake is influenced by the magnetic material of the muzzle brake disturbing, which also affects the programming.
- the material of the muzzle brake can then be, for example, titanium, which is also lighter than the known gun steel.
- an end 1 of a gun barrel 2 is characterized, which circumferentially has a thread profile 3, preferably divided into two threaded sections 3.1 and two recesses 3.2.
- these equal-sized threaded sections 3.1 and 3.2 equal-sized recess sections represent only a preferred embodiment.
- the end of the gun barrel 1 2 two elongated groove 4 on. These grooves 4 are preferably incorporated in the tube 2. In the same area is also a thread. 5
- Fig. 2 is a muzzle brake 6 with a thread profile 7, also divided into threaded sections 7.1 and Aussparrungen 7.2, as a counterpart to the thread profile 3 on the gun barrel 2, shown.
- the muzzle brake 6 has at its end preferably two recessed guides or semicircular recesses 8, 9, which are preferably of different depths and serve, in particular, for only a specific or defined engagement of the muzzle brake 6 on the weapon barrel 2 is possible.
- 10 11 two feather keys of the locking device 12 are marked.
- the feather keys 10, 11 according to the preferred embodiment have different lengths and have lying inside a profile 10.1, 11.1.
- the muzzle brake 6 has end-incorporated locking recesses 13. Several troughs 13 cause a finer detent.
- Fig. 3 shows the muzzle brake 6 with other parts of the locking device 12.
- 11.1 here are a first spring 14, a threaded ring 15 as a locking nut and a second spring 16.
- Die The other spring 16 in this case a spring washer, in turn, engages the rear side of the threaded ring 15 and the nose 10.2, 11.2 of the feather keys 10 on the front side , 11 to prevent backlash between the wave spring 14 and the keys 10, 11.
- a further trough 17 is also provided on the front side on the threaded ring 15, whereby an increase of the detent of the wave spring 14 is realized.
- Fig. 4 shows the interaction of the modules already described.
- the spring washer 16, the threaded ring 15 and the wave spring 14 are integrated into the inner profile of the feather keys 10, 11 according to their geometries and pushed as locking device 12 on the end 1 of the gun barrel 2 to the rear thread 5 and placed.
- the feather keys 10, 11 lie in the two grooves 4 in the barrel 2 while maintaining a displacement for the feather keys 10, 11 within the groove 4.
- the threaded ring 15 is rotated along the thread 5, as long as the feather keys 10, 11 that Have reached the end of the groove 4. In this case, the shorter key 11 closes with the thread beginning, so that this feather 11 disappears behind the plane contact surface of the muzzle brake 6.
- the muzzle brake 6 is attached to the gun barrel 2, wherein the Aussparrungen 6.2 of the muzzle brake 6 are guided over the recesses 3.2 of the gun barrel 2. Due to the presence of the longer key 10, which does not terminate with the plane contact surface of the muzzle brake 6, and the two different deep guides 8, 9, the muzzle brake 6 can be placed only in one direction on the gun barrel 2. Thereafter, the muzzle brake 6 is rotated along the guides 8, 9 until it stops. In these areas, the guides 8, 9 each have an unspecified depression. In this now by turning back the threaded ring 15, the feather keys 10, 11 moved, the muzzle brake 6 locked. Thereafter, the wave spring 14 is in the wells 13 of the muzzle brake 6. With a special key or the like, the wave spring 14 is then biased by a certain number of notches on the threaded ring 15.
- Fig. 5 shows the complete muzzle brake 6 with locking device 12 in a plan view.

Here, the invention has the object to show a further simple attachment of a muzzle brake on a gun barrel, which is also relatively easy.
10. Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen sind in den Unteransprüchen aufgezeigt. The object is achieved by the features of
The invention is based on the idea to attach the muzzle brake preferably by means of a thread profile in a known manner on the end of the gun barrel. The thread profile has thread-free areas on the barrel and in the muzzle brake, so that it can be easily placed on the gun barrel. The locking of the muzzle brake on the end of the gun barrel is then carried out by a locking device as part of the attachment. This is followed by the thread profile on the gun barrel another thread, which serves to receive the locking device. This locking device consists of at least two springs and at least one so-called locking nut and preferably two so-called locking stones. The at the gun barrel in the region of the thread for the locking device integrated and preferably designed as feather keys locking blocks carry the at least one locking nut and the other springs, wherein the locking nut in turn is arranged or clamped between the at least two springs. This muzzle brake locking device is attached end to the muzzle brake and around the gun barrel.
The task of a springs is to press back against the muzzle brake and the front against the locking nut to push the task of the other spring in turn to the back of the locking nut and the front of the nose on the locking blocks or to grab a game between prevent the first spring and the locking stones. The first spring may be a wave spring, the other a spring washer.
The locking blocks also serve to align the springs with the brake and lock nut so that the front spring is brought into contact with the brake forward and thus the thread profile of the muzzle brake. The advantage is that the spring in this embodiment is already brought into abutment, where known additional loads occur. This causes a backlash-free load, since the first spring is already in abutment as in the shot load.
On / in the weapon barrel incorporated / introduced, pointing in the direction of weft elongated grooves are used to hold the locking stones. It turned out to be enough to provide two grooves. These are seen in the weft direction to provide above the areas of the thread cutouts.
The locking blocks have notches or recesses (a profile) on their side facing the weapon barrel side or surface for the defined recording of the springs and the locking nut.
In continuation of the invention, so-called locking recesses, i.e., notches are mounted in the face of the brake. This is used to bring the first spring defined at this point in terms of area to concern the brake. Preferably, a further locking recess is provided on the end face of the locking nut. This increases the locking capacity of the first spring on the locking nut and definitely prevents loosening of the locking nut.
