Beim Kurbelwinkel α1, bei dem die Geschwindigkeiten von Sammelkette (Mitnehmer) VK und Heftkopfschlitten VH gleich sind, setzt der Falzdrücker 200 auf den Falzbogenstapel 30 auf. Zum Zeitpunkt α2, ab dem die Geschwindigkeit des Heftkopfschlittens VH wieder kleiner wird, als die Geschwindigkeit der Sammelkette VK, ist das Produkt um den Betrag y vom Mitnehmer weggezogen worden. In dieser Zeit hat der Heftvorgang stattgefunden. Erst zum Kurbelwinkel α3 liegt der Mitnehmer 220 wieder am Produkt an und übernimmt den weiteren Transport mit der Sammelkette. Bei diesem Falzdrücker ist der Bewegungsweg x, beispielsweise durch einen längeren Schaft des Bolzens 205, vergrößert. Wie man erkennt, setzt hierbei der Falzdrücker bereits bei einem Kurbelwinkel α1''' auf den Falzbogenstapel auf und hebt erst wieder bei einem Kurbelwinkel von α2'' von diesem wieder ab. Der Bewegungverlauf von Treiber und Bieger sind unverändert. Man erkennt hieraus, dass das Fenster des Klemmbereiches α1''' bis α2'' gegenüber dem Klemmbereich des Normalheftkopfes α1 bis α2 vergrößert worden ist, somit also mehr Zeit zur Verfügung steht, um die Ringöse aus dem Heftkopf herauszubewegen, bevor die Klemmung des Bogens wieder aufgehoben wird. Nachteilig an dieser Lösung ist allerdings, dass der Falzdrücker bereits zu einem Kurbelwinkel α1''' aufsetzt, also zu einem Zeitpunkt, bei dem die Heftkopfschlittengeschwindigkeit vH noch kleiner als die Kettengeschwindigkeit vK ist, was zu den oben bereits geschilderten Problemen führen kann.The
Die Kurven 254, 255 und 257 zeigen den Bewegungsablauf von Treiber, Bieger und Falzdrücker einer erfindungsgemäßen Ringösenheftvorrichtung in Abhängigkeit des Kurbelwinkels. Wie man erkennt, setzt der Falzdrücker erst bei einem Kurbelwinkel α1'' auf dem Falzbogenstapel auf, der sehr nahe am idealen Aufsetzpunkt α1 des Normalheftkopfes liegt. Die Bewegungsabläufe von Treiber und Bieger bleiben unverändert. Der Falzdrücker hebt bei einem Kurbelwinkel α2'' wieder vom Produkt ab. Man sieht also, dass der Falzdrücker nahezu am Idealpunkt α1'' bei dem nahezu vH = vK ist aufsetzt, und erst relativ spät bei einem Kurbelwinkel α2'' wieder vom Produkt abhebt. Das Ziel den Klemmbereich zu vergrößern wurde also erreicht und die Nachteile eines zu frühen Aufsetzens (vH < vK) vermieden. Die Tatsache, dass zum Zeitpunkt α2'' ebenfalls vH < vK ist, ist unerheblich, da zu diesem Zeitpunkt die Falzbogen bereits geheftet und so einen stabilen Verbund bilden, auf dem die Rolle des Falzdrückers problemlos abrollen kann.
