Claims (21)
- Rotary printing press (1) for producing a newspaper product (12; 22; 36; 39) in tabloid format,- comprising at least one printing couple of a printing unit (02), the printing couple being configured in such a way that it prints a web (03) with printed pages in a horizontal tabloid format (F),- comprising a part-web (04) which is obtained by slitting the web (03) lengthwise,- and comprising a plough fold (08) which is arranged in the path of the part-web (04) in such a way that it folds a first edge region (05) of the part-web (04), which is printed with a relatively narrow printed image section, as a folded-in part (17; 30; 31; 32; 40) along a first folding line (L05),- and comprising a former (09) downstream of the plough fold (08),- characterized- in that the part-web (04) is printed, side by side, with only one horizontal printed page in tabloid format (F) and, at least on one side of this printed page, in an adjacent edge region (05, 06), with a relatively narrow printed image section (f),- and in that part-web (04) and former (09) are arranged in the run-on region of the former (09) relative to one another in such a way that the part-web (04) which is folded in on one side runs onto the former (09) off-centre, i.e. with the middle of the part-web (04) folded on one side not aligned with the former tip but offset.
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the part-web (04) has a second edge region (06) on one side of the part-web (04), which side is opposite the first edge region (05).
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 2, characterized in that the second edge region (06) is printed with a narrower printed image section (f) in comparison with the horizontal printed page in tabloid format (F).
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the part-web (04) is printed side by side with only one horizontal printed page in tabloid format (F) and, on both sides of this printed page, in an adjacent edge region (05, 06) in each case, with a relatively narrow printed image section (f).
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 2, 3 or 4, characterized in that part-web (04) and former (09) are arranged relative to one another in such a way that the former (09) folds in the second edge region (06) opposite the first edge region (05).
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 2, 3 or 4, characterized in that the part-web (04) folded in on one side and the former (09) are arranged in the run-on region of the former (09) relative to one another in such a way that a second folding line (L06), in particular between the printed page in tabloid format and the second edge region (06), is aligned with the former tip.
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the part-web (04) folded in on one side and former (09) are arranged in the run-on region of the former (09) relative to one another in such a way that the part-web (04) folded in on one side is guided only over one of two former flanks of the former (09).
- Rotary printing press (01) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the former (09) is adjustable at least transversely to the web running direction (B).
- Rotary printing press according to Claim 1, characterized in that a folder unit (07) has at least two former planes (I; II), the adjustable former (09) being in the form of a balloon former (09) arranged in an upper former plane (I).
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adjustable former (09) is designed with excess width so that newspaper products (22) can be produced with higher inner pages (25) in comparison with pages located on the outside in the product.
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the adjustable former (09) is arranged so as to be additionally adjustable longitudinally with respect to the web running direction (B) of the web (03) or part-web (04).
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the folder unit (07) comprises at least one slitter which slits a part (18) of the web (03) which remains after the separation of the part-web (04) guided via the plough fold (08) and the downstream, adjustable former (09) into in each case part-webs (19) having the width of a tabloid page height, the folder unit (07) comprising at least one further former (11) which is preferably arranged in a lower former plane (II) and via which at least two part-webs (19) running side by side and having the width of a tabloid page height are guided in such a way that the separating line between the adjacent part-webs (19) runs over the former nose (20) of the lower former (11).
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the folder unit (07) comprises at least one pair of cutting cylinders which combines the web (03) or part-web (04) guided via the plough fold (08) and the adjustable former (09), and optionally webs (03) or part-webs (19) guided via at least one further former (11) of the folder unit (07), to form a strand and cuts them transversely into sections having a length corresponding to twice a tabloid page width, and at least one pair of folding cylinders which folds the sections transversely to the web running direction (B).
- Rotary printing press according to Claim 13, characterized in that the adjustable former (09) is arranged in such a way that the web (03) or part-web (04) having folded-in edge regions (05; 06) can be laid in the strand running into the pair of cutting cylinders, under webs (03) or part-webs (19), which are guided over at least one further former (11) of the folder unit (07) so that the folded-in part (17; 30; 31; 32; 40) optionally comes to rest on the panorama page (48) of the finished newspaper product (12; 22; 36; 39).
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the folder unit (07) of the rotary printing press (01) has means (45) for perforating and/or for slitting open the folded-in part (17; 30; 31; 32; 40) in the region of the transverse fold (16; 42).
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the web (03) printed by the printing couple or the printing unit (02) or a part-web (04) obtained by slitting a printed web (03) has the width of two tabloid page heights.
- Rotary printing press according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the web (03) printed by the printing couple or the printing unit (02) has a width corresponding to an even multiple of a tabloid page height from which at least one part-web which has a width of two tabloid page heights and can be fed to the plough fold (08) with downstream, adjustable former (09) is obtained by slitting, the sum of the widths of the edge regions (05; 06) folded in by the plough fold (08) and by the adjustable former (09) corresponding to a tabloid page height in order, in the finished newspaper product (12), to obtain folded-in parts at the top (13) and/or at the bottom (14) of an inner page (15; 48) which cover the entire inner page (15; 48).
- Method for producing a newspaper product (12; 22; 36; 39) in tabloid format having a folded-in part (17) arranged at the top (13) and/or bottom (14) of at least one inner page (15) or a back page (38) of the newspaper product (12) by means of a rotary printing press (01),- by printing a web (03) with printed pages in a horizontal tabloid format (F) by means of at least one printing couple of a printing unit (02),- obtaining a part-web (04) from the printed web (03) by slitting of the web (03),- folding in with a plough fold (08) a first edge region (05) of the part-web (04) which is printed with a relatively narrow printed image section as a folded-in part (17; 30; 31; 32; 40) along a first folding line (L05),- the part-web (04) carrying, side by side, the printed image of only one horizontal printed page in tabloid format (F) and, at least on one side of this printed page, in an adjacent edge region (05, 06), the printed image of a relatively narrow printed image section (f),- and the part-web (04) folded-in on one side being guided on the run-on region of a former (09) downstream of the plough fold (08) off-centre, i.e. with the middle of the part-web (04) folded in on one side not flush with the former tip but offset.
- Method according to Claim 18, characterized in that the part-web (04) carries, side by side, the printed image of only one horizontal printed page in tabloid format (F) and, on both sides of this printed page, in each case in an adjacent edge region (05, 06), the printed image of a relatively narrow printed image section (f).
- Method according to Claim 19, characterized in that the part-web (04) already folded in on one side is guided on the former (09) in such a way that the former (09) folds in the second edge region (06) opposite the first edge region (05).
- Method according to Claim 18, characterized in that the part-web (04) already folded in on one side is guided only over one of two former flanks of the former (09).
