Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a tool for mounting and dismounting an elastic clamping collar on a tubular member, the collar closed loop having two ends, adapted to engage mutual engagement, the tool being of the type described in the preamble of claim 1.
The elastic collar in question is closed loop and comprises two ends, one of which has a radial projection and the other a hook adapted to lock on the radial projection so as to close the elastic collar around a tubular member of the type flexible pipe. The first and second jaws of the tool have different profiles that cooperate with one or other end of the collar. The tool allows, by inversion, to invert the grip of the jaws relative to the respective ends of the collar, thereby locking or unlocking the ends of the collar to assemble or disassemble the tubular member.
However, this tool is difficult to manipulate for assembly or disassembly of the collar in hard to reach places.
It is known, on the other hand, a clamp CAILLAU referenced 0260 having two jaws parallel closure, on each of which an interchangeable swivel tip allows to manipulate the elastic collars in hard to reach places.
However, the orientation of the interchangeable tips is carried out independently with a screw-nut system on each of the jaws of the clamp. This makes handling complex to precisely orient the end pieces facing one another.
An object of the invention is to design a simple tool for mounting and / or disassembling an elastic clamping collar, while allowing easy handling elastic collars in hard to reach places.
Pour cela, l'invention a pour objet un outil, de montage et de démontage d'un collier élastique du type précité selon la revendication 1.For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a tool for mounting and dismounting an elastic collar of the aforementioned type according to claim 1.
Other features are described in claims 2 to 8.
The subject of the invention is also an assembly formed of at least one clamping collet, closed in a loop, of generally circular shape, comprising two ends, one of which comprises a radial protrusion of locking extending in external projection and of which the other end comprises a locking hook cooperating with the radial projection to elastically and reversibly fasten the two ends of the collar one on the other; and a tool as described above.
According to another characteristic, the end of the elastic collar comprising the radial projection further comprises, on the side of this projection opposite to the associated end of the collar, a boss extending radially outwards, and in that the notch of guiding and / or centering each gripping profile of the second jaw cooperates with the boss in disassembly phase of the collar.

The first and
The invention has been described with U-shaped jaws. However, according to a variant not shown, an L-shaped having a gripping profile arranged on each wing of the L allows two predetermined general orientations for gripping an elastic collar. One of the orientations is substantially parallel to the general plane of the tool, the other is substantially perpendicular to the general plane of the tool.
The invention has been described above with a pliers-type tool comprising two articulated branches each comprising a jaw and a handle. According to a variant not shown, the tool comprises a set of articulated jaws remote from a set of articulated handles also, the two sets being connected by a cable actuating mechanism.
Thanks to the invention, it is possible to manipulate an elastic clamping collar in hard to reach places with a simple tool having several general orientations for gripping the collar.
