Description

The invention relates to a floor panel, in particular for a laminate floor, with a decorative layer and an overlay paper having a pulp layer.

Floor panels of the type mentioned are in particular components of decorative laminates and are used for example in the EP 0 875 399 A2 disclosed. This known floor panel is characterized in particular by a high homogeneity of the spatial distribution of the resin particles and their particular concentration in the so-called Verschleifschicht, ie in a the decorative sheet outwardly final a thermosetting resin-containing layer from. For the quality of such decorative laminates properties such as abrasion resistance and wear resistance are of no relevance. An optimal representation of the decoration is only obtained if the overlay films used for production ensure a high transparency.

A known from the prior art construction of a floor panel designed such that serves as the top layer impregnated with melamine resins so-called overlay paper. Below this uppermost layer is an impregnated printed paper, which forms the decorative layer of the finished floor panel and sits on the wood-based panel serving as a support. The floor panel closes with a with melamine and / or hard resins impregnated backing paper, which is pressed onto the back of the wood-based panel and its function is to prevent warping and bowls of the finished floor panels by a symmetrical construction of the floor.

In order to improve the required abrasion resistance of such laminates, it has begun to introduce corundum particles in the overlay paper. After the liquid overlay process, which is today the main production process for such overlays, the corundum particles responsible for the high abrasion resistance are applied below the pulp layer of the overlay base paper. This has the advantage that the for pressing the individual layers of the Laminated floor used press plates can not be damaged by the corundum particles in the overlay film, as there is a protective pulp layer between press plate and corundum.

The position of the corundum particles in the overlay is thus determined by the fact that on the one hand they have to protect the decorative print layer against abrasion, but on the other hand they should also have the greatest possible distance from the actual surface of the finished laminate floor to protect the sensitive press plates.

In recent years, the demands on the design of laminate flooring have increased considerably. This not only affects the actual decor pressure, but also the properties of the laminate surface conveyed by the pressing process and thus by the press plate. In addition to a wood pore structure synchronized with the printed image as well as a more relief-like surface (so-called hand-scraped designs), the degree of gloss of the surface, which can vary from dull to highly lustrous.

In particular, in terms of gloss level, there is a requirement of laminate flooring manufacturers that the laminate floor surface should have a scrub or micro scratch resistance. As a result, fine scratches on the surface can be avoided, which can already arise during manufacture and transport to the end customer and attract attention especially on dark decors. In addition, such products have the advantage that they change less during the use of the gloss level. Typical signs of wear and gloss changes on heavily used floor areas are thereby avoided. Glossy surfaces are less matted by micro-scratches, matt surfaces are much less polished by the use.

Similar requirements for a better micro scratch or abrasion resistance are also placed on furniture surfaces. Although there is a different surface structure and usually no overlays are used to protect the decorative film, the principle we use to increase the abrasion resistance can also be used very well here.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a floor panel of the type mentioned that the requirements on the overlay film for abrasion resistance and pressure plate protection on the one hand and micro scratch or abrasion resistance on the other hand makes better enough.

With regard to the production of a scuff-resistant furniture surface, it is an object of the invention to provide a resin-impregnated decorative paper which has a good abrasion and micro scratch resistance, without affecting the press plates.

This object is achieved with the features of claim 1.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention manifest themselves in the subclaims.

The requirements on the overlay film for abrasion resistance and pressure plate protection on the one hand and micro scratch or abrasion resistance on the other hand are thus achieved according to the invention,
  • that the relatively coarse corundum particles necessary for the abrasion resistance lie on the side facing the decor, and
  • the fine corundum particles necessary to achieve the abrasion resistance lie on top of the pulp layer.

The necessary protection of the press plates is ensured by the grain size and the grain shape of the fine corundum used. The smaller the grain, the lower will be its removal or damage to the press plate in the event of contact with it. By using a platelet-shaped corundum, which preferably aligns parallel to the surface by the application method and the pressing, the risk of pressure plate damage is also reduced because the sharp edges of the narrow corundum plates are not oriented to the sheet.

By choosing the grain size and grain shape and the targeted placement of these two types of corundum in the product or overlay structure so the requirement for abrasion resistance of the top laminate layer on the one hand and after pressure plate protection on the other hand is met.

In the case of abrasion-resistant furniture surfaces only fine corundum in the near-surface layer are used, since in contrast to the floor, there is a much lower burden and coarse corundum not need to be used.

Preferably, the pulp layer of the overlay paper is provided with a top coat of resin containing the fine corundum particles.

The responsible for the abrasion resistance of relatively coarse corundum particles, which are mounted on the decorative side facing the overlay film, have grain sizes of 30μm to 125 microns in the prior art.

The fine corundum particles responsible for the abrasion resistance, which are located on the upper side in a layer near the surface, have a particle size of 0.5-50 μm, more preferably between 2 μm and 30 μm.

The best abrasion resistance results when the introduced in the form of a top coat fine corundum particles are used with a mass fraction of 0.5% - 50% in the top coat resin, a proportion of 3 - 30% has proved to be particularly advantageous (proportions based on dry resin) ,

A practicable variant of the invention therefore provides that the application weight of the top coat is between 1 g / m 2 and 50 g / m 2 . In order to limit the cost of the additional top coat resin, the coat weight of the top coat resin may also be between 5 g / m 2 and 30 g / m 2 .

In the following the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG.

Es zeigt in schematischer Darstellung:

The floor panel closes with a backing paper impregnated with melamine and / or hard resins, which on the back the wood-based panel is pressed and its function is to prevent warping and bowls of the finished floor panels by a symmetrical construction of the floor.

This known construction of a floor panel is in the in FIG. 1 The pulp layer 10 is composed of pulp fibers 11 and is impregnated with the resin in the form of a special melamine resin or a mixture of melamine resin and another resin impregnated by a top coat 12 made of resin. In the top coat 12 fine corundum particles 13 are evenly distributed before, the mean grain size of these finely divided particles 13 is in the range of 2 microns and 30 microns. The mass fraction of finely divided fine corundum particles 13 in the top coat 12 is, based on a dry topcoat, between 3% and 33%. The application weight of the top coat 12 amounts to 5 g / m 2 to 30 g / m 2 .

In addition, the underside of the pulp layer 10 is provided with a further resin coating 14. This coating of the pulp layer 10, which is in the form of a resin layer and which lies on the side facing a decorative layer, additionally contains coarse corundum particles 15, so that the resin layer 14 can function as a further abrasive layer.
