Verfahren zur Herstellung von Säcken (4) aus beschichtetem Kunststoffgewebe, bei dem die Schlauchstücke beziehungsweise Säcke (4) quer zu ihren Längsachsen (L) in einer Transportrichtung (x) transportiert werden, bei dem Böden an die Enden der Schlauchstücke angeformt werden, um Säcke zu bilden, bei dem Bodendeckblätter auf die Böden der Säcke aufgesiegelt werden, wobei die Böden und/oder die Bodendeckblätter mit Wärme beaufschlagt werden, und bei dem die Bodendeckblätter und die Böden der Säcke in dem Walzenspalt zweier Walzen (2,3) verpresst werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass nach dem Verpressen fehlerhafte Säcke aus der Folge der Säcke mittels eines Umlenkmittels aussortiert werden, und dass die Säcke nach dem Verlassen des Walzenspalts über eine Strecke (D), die größer ist als die Breite (SB) eines hergestellten Sackes (4), transportiert werden, bevor sie mit dem Umlenkmittel in Kontakt treten. 1 1.
