Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist in Anspruch 1 angegeben. Die danach vorgesehene Einrichtung signalisiert die Erzeugung einer vorgegebenen Schließkraft zwischen den Zangenbacken. Dadurch lässt sich etwa beim Spannen von Klemmringen sicherstellen, dass eine vorgegebene Kraft erreicht, aber nicht überschritten wird. Die bei Erreichen der vorgegebenen Schließkraft erzeugte Vibration wird ummittelbar auf die die Zange betätigende Hand des Benutzers übertragen und daher auf jeden Fall wahrgenommen. Anders als bei einem sicht- oder hörbaren Signal wird die Aufmerksamkeit des Monteurs nicht abgelenkt, und das Signal bleibt nicht unbemerkt. Da ferner die Hand bei Erreichen der vorgegebenen Kraft die Zange besonders fest umschließt, wird das fühlbare Signal entsprechend deutlich übertragen. Da die beiden den einen Zangenschenkel bildenden Hebel um das Gelenk der Zange selbst schwenkbar sind, ist die Zange in der Herstellung kostengünstiger.The achievement of this object is specified in claim 1. - A manually operated pair of pliers, particularly for tightening clamping rings, comprising means (30) for generating a signal perceivable by the user's hand when a predetermined closing force between the jaws (13, 14) of the pliers is reached, wherein one leg (10) of the pliers is provided with the signalling means (30) and has an inner lever (15) carrying one jaw (14) of the pliers and an outer lever (16) which is pivotal with respect to the inner lever (15) and co-operates with the other leg (11) to actuate the pliers and is resiliently biased with respect to the inner lever (15), characterised in that
the signalling means (30) includes a vibrator (31) housed in said one leg (10), and
the two levers (15, 16) are pivotal about the joint of the pliers. - The pliers of claim 1 wherein the resilient bias is provided by two compression springs (20, 21) which are disposed in parallel between the two levers (15, 16).
- The pliers of claims 1 wherein mutually opposite contact elements (36, 38) are disposed at the two levers (15, 16) for closing an electric supply circuit of the vibrator (31).
- The pliers of claim 3 wherein the spacing between the contact elements (36, 38) is adjustable.
- The pliers of claim 1 including abutments (23, 25) for limiting the maximum relative movement between the two levers (15, 16).
- The pliers of claim 5 wherein the outer lever (15) is shaped as a housing enclosing the inner lever (15), the compression springs (20, 21), the vibrator (31) and the contact elements (36, 38), on three longitudinal sides.
