Claims (4)
- Method of winding up a metallic strip (1), particularly a steel strip, to form a coil (2), wherein the strip (1) is guided between a driver (3), consisting of at least one driver upper roller (4) and at least one driver lower roller (5), and a winding mandrel (6) and wherein the strip (1) is wound up on the winding mandrel (6) to form the coil (2),
characterised in that
on attainment of a defined residual length of the strip (1) a bending moment (MB) acting transversely to the longitudinal direction of the strip (1) and producing a plastic deformation is introduced into the strip (1) in that the at least one driver upper roller (4) of the driver (3) is moved in rolling direction (W) and lowered perpendicularly to the surface of the strip (1), wherein the driver lower roller (5) is kept stationary and wherein the strip (1) is held down in front of the driver (3) with respect to the rolling direction (W) by a holding-down roller (17). - Method according to claim 1, characterised in that the bending moment (MB) curves the strip (1) in the sense of how it is arranged on the winding mandrel (6).
- Method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the longitudinal stress in the strip (1) is reduced during or after the application of the bending moment (MB).
- Device for winding up a metallic strip (1), particularly a steel strip, to form a coil (2), which comprises a driver (3) with at least one driver upper roller (4) and at least one driver lower roller (5) as well as a winding mandrel (6), wherein the strip (1) is guided between the driver (3) and the winding mandrel (6) and wherein the strip (1) is wound up on the winding mandrel (6) to form the coil (2), particularly for performance of the method according to any one of claims 1 to 3,
characterised by
means (4, 5, 11, 12, 17) for introducing a bending moment (MB), acting transversely to the longitudinal direction of the strip (1) and producing a plastic deformation, which means are activated by control means (10) as soon as a defined residual length of the strip (1) is attained, wherein the means comprise the driver upper roller (4) movable in rolling direction (W) and lowerable perpendicularly to the surface of the strip (1) by way of at least one actuator (11, 12), the stationary driver lower roller (5), and a holding-down roller (17) arranged in front of the driver (3) with respect to the rolling direction (W).
