Abstract

The present invention relates to a crate (2) of a system of crates, in particular for transporting fresh fish, which has an opening (16) on the top side, and wherein the edge area as well as the base area of the opening on the top side are designed in such a manner that the base area on the edge of the opening on the top side is laterally and positively placed on an identical crate; thus the crates can be stacked on top of each other such that the upper crate can be inserted into the lower crate, rotated about a vertical axis by 180°, and thus the empty boxes can be stacked into one another (180° stack-nest crate),and said crate is thereby characterized in that the edge area (10) of the opening on the top side is designed, at least in terms of area, in a channel shape and has at least one first through hole (30) which is located on the outer side at the bottom of the crate wall adjacent to the edge area, and in that the base of the crate features a second through hole (30) so that liquid can drain out of the crate through the second through hole into the channel-shaped area of a similar crate stacked below, and then through the first through hole of the crate stacked below, out of the channel-shaped area alongside the outer side crate wall adjacent to the edge area of the lower side.

Description

Systemkiste insbesondere für den Transport von frischem Fisch System box especially for the transport of fresh fish
The present invention relates to a system stacker box, in particular for the transport of fresh fish according to the preamble of claim 1.
Crates have long been known for the transport of goods. As a box are usually top-side open containers, the side carrying aids - for example, handle bar or handle edges - have. Crates can be known to have lids.
In order not only to transport goods better with the crates, but also to be able to store them, there are stackable crates. These are, for example, in the bottom and upper edge region formed so that the bottom of the upper box engages positively in the upper edge region of the lower box and is secured against sliding sideways. A known development are so-called rotary stacking boxes. Their upper edge and lower bottom are designed so that on the one hand the bottom of such a box on the edge of the same box placed laterally positively held and so the boxes are stacked one above the other and so on the other the upper box can be inserted around a vertical axis rotated by 180 ° into the lower box. In this latter position, the boxes can be stacked empty space to save space.
Fresh fish must be stored refrigerated for longer transport so as not to spoil. For this purpose, it is known to be stored in boxes or tubs together with ice. During transport, for example, meltwater forms, which should drain out of the transport crate, if possible without moistening the fish more than absolutely necessary. For this purpose, transport crates for such goods have drainage openings in the bottom area of the crate, whereby liquid can drain from the crate. Stackable transport crates are finally known in which the outflow openings are arranged in an edge region of the floor such that the liquid flows out there into the upper edge region of the box below, where a drainage opening ensures that the liquid does not enter this crate from there but expires through the drainage opening to the outside of the box. But if, for example, fresh fish is transported in larger quantities for longer transport of ice in a crate, quite large quantities of meltwater accumulate, which are to flow out of the crate. For larger amounts of water flowing drainage elements of known box systems are not yet effective enough and cause disadvantageous that still some amounts of water are not discharged efficiently enough outside along the box walls, but in the interior penetrate from stacked boxes below and adversely affect the transported goods again.
The present invention has for its object to provide a crate of a crate system, in particular for the transport of fresh fish, is kept by the effluent from the box effluent more efficiently from the interior of a stacked box below.
This object is achieved by a box with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments are specified in the subclaims.
According to the invention, a box is used in particular for the transport of fresh fish. The box according to the invention belongs to a box system of several identical boxes which are stackable on each other. Preferably, the crate system includes boxes of several sizes yet stackable on top of one another - for example, by stacking two equal smaller crates of the crate system (e.g., each having substantially half horizontal area) on a crate of the crate system with full horizontal surface.
The box according to the invention has on the upper side an opening through which the goods to be transported can be inserted into the interior of the box. In that regard, the box is trough-shaped so to speak. The box according to the invention may also have a removable lid as an element. The upper-side edge region of the box according to the invention and its bottom region are designed such that, on the one hand, the bottom region is held on the top edge region of a same box in a form-fitting manner laterally and thus the boxes can be stacked one above the other. On the other hand, the box according to the invention, about a vertical axis rotated by 180 °, in a lower (not rotated) box can be used, so that the boxes are empty (and if available without a lid) space-saving stackable. Crates based on this basic principle are known as rotary stacking boxes.
According to the invention, the edge region of the upper-side opening of the box is designed to be groove-shaped at least in regions. For example, approximately in the manner of a gutter there extends a groove preferably in the corner of the box and preferably around the corner around, if this has at least in plan view of a substantially rectangular basic shape. Particularly preferred is a trough-shaped configuration of the edge region circumferentially around the entire upper-side opening.
Um Wasser aus der Rinne ablaufen zu lassen, ist eine erste Durchgangsbohrung alsTo drain water from the gutter is a first through hole as
Outflow in the channel formed so that the first through hole outside the box wall, which is adjacent to the underside of the channel-shaped edge region opens. So liquid flows through the first through hole from the gutter on the outside of the box wall - and thus also on the outside of the box interior away from being transported in good - from. Preferably, the bottom of the channel in the direction of the first bore is formed as a gradient with a horizontally standing box to ensure safe drainage of the liquid from the channel. In particular, a preferably elongated channel may have a plurality of first holes to ensure safe drainage at several points from the channel. Preferably then leads the slope to the next first hole. The channel may even, without this being particularly preferred, be interrupted, for example, by transverse walls, which may serve, for example, the mechanical reinforcement of the box edge. In this case, preferably, each section of the channel divided off from such a transverse wall has its own first bore.
According to the invention, the bottom of the box also has at least one through-hole as a drain for liquid. This second through hole is formed in horizontally standing box in the edge region of the bottom below the channel-shaped edge region. Thus, liquid can flow from the interior of the box through the second bore into the channel-shaped edge region of a box of the box system stacked underneath. From there, the effluent liquid will drain as described through the first bore on the outside of the box wall. Preferably, the second through-hole is arranged as close to the bottom edge as possible and in a box of substantially rectangular basic shape in at least one of the four corners of the bottom. And preferably, the crate bottom is sloping in each area towards a first bore to ensure safe drainage. These and other features of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which embodiments of the present invention are shown.

With reference to FIGS. 1 to 3, a trough-shaped transport box 2 made of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) is injection-molded in a translucent manner for the transport of fresh fish. The box 2 is trough-shaped without lid with a substantially rectangular basic shape - in the plan view according to FIG. 2
In FIGS. 1 to 3, the wave form can be seen as a repeated use of the design element of the box 2. This not only has the aesthetic significance of associating water - in which fish literally feels well - but also technical function in several respects. Thus, the box walls 4 in the plan view (Figure 2) wave-shaped and give a total of a pattern in which a second same box 2 - identical as the box 2 aligned according to Figure 2 - can be stacked to save space in these empty, for example stow away unused boxes. For this possibility, to use so aligned boxes 2 space-saving into each other, ensures the feature of the box bottom 6 conically tapered to each other box walls 4 (see Figure 3). The wavy pattern of the side walls 4 in the top view (FIG. 2), on the other hand, allows the bottom edge 8 'of a same box stacked thereon to be distributed uniformly around the circumference of the box edge 10 - according to the principle of the stacking box rotated by 180 ° positive connection of the stacked boxes 2 on the edge 10 and / or under the bottom edge 8 ' can be pre-stamped - supported on the edge 10 of the box 2 (see Figure 11). Consequently, the boxes 2, each rotated about a vertical axis by 180 ° from each other, stack each other (see Figure 1, 9, 10, 11 and 13). With regard to FIG. 3, stepped shoulders 14 can be seen in the box wall 4. These stepped heels in turn are undulating around the box 2 around, which not only has the mentioned aesthetic effect, but also stiffen the box walls 4. The steps could also be designed to prevent the boxes from clinging together when stacked and difficult to unstack.
With reference to Figure 1, the edge portion 10 of the top opening 16 of the box 2 is lying T-shaped. In other words, the vertical section is formed by the box 2 in the upper edge portion 10 so that the shape of the capital letter T is shown, which is tilted by 90 ° from the box to the outside. The actually vertical line of the T then consequently forms a substantially horizontally oriented edge surface 18, which slopes slightly outward overall to form a channel wall, on which the bottom 6 of a box 2 stacked on it comes to a stop with its bottom edge region (FIG. 1). And the actually horizontal bar of the T is tilted outwards by 90 ° from the box to an outermost side - again undulating - peripheral edge surface 20.
This edge surface 20, with its region extending downwards from the surface 18, forms a gripping edge which extends around the crate 2. This can be the case 2 according to Figure 4 to 7, for example, grab, pull or carry. The upwardly extending portion of the outer edge surface 20, together with the surface 18 (which is formed around the box 2, as already mentioned, outwardly sloping) around the entire top opening 16 around a groove 22nd
Also, the upper edge 24 of the lateral edge surface is in turn undulating.

The channel 22, which revolves around the top-side opening 16 of the box 2 in the T-shaped rim 10, serves substantially to convey liquid which has been introduced thereinto from another box 2 stacked thereon. Schematically, the flow path 26 of such liquid is shown in FIGS. 8 to 10. FIG. 2 shows the through-bores required for this flow path: In the (black) channel 22 behind the edge 10 of the box 2 are each in the corners of the substantially rectangular basic shape of the box 2 first through holes 28 are mounted. These are located on the outside of the box wall 4 adjoining there on the underside (also recognizable in FIG. 3). Through these first through holes 28, the liquid flows out of the channel 22 outside of the box wall 4 - and is even at the downwardly directed portion of the outer edge surface 20 dripping away from the wall 4 further out, so that the image of the falling Water 26 according to Figure 9 and 10 results. Furthermore, the box 2 in its bottom 6 according to Figure 2 a total of four second through holes 30, two of which are in two of the four corners of the substantially rectangular basic shape of the box 2. The bottom of the box 6 is inclined by appropriate slope to the second through-holes 30, that liquid from the interior of the box 2 can safely drain through at least one of the second holes 30. The second holes 30 are mounted in the edge region of the bottom 6 where it overlaps the upper edge 10 and thus the gutter 22 when stacked on a rotated by 180 ° second, same box 2. Consequently, the second through-holes 30 guide liquid from the interior of a box 2 into the channel 22 of a box 2 stacked below it, and from there further out through the two first holes 28. As an alternative to the few individual bores 28 according to FIG. 2, a row of holes (not shown) according to the invention is also provided, which extends, for example, along the entire channel 22. The row of holes can for example consist of holes or slots, which are separated only by webs from each other, to even create a bridge of material between the outer edge region 20, 22, 24 of the box 2 and the box wall 4. For example, such a row of holes would run directly outside the box wall 4 and cause liquid to flow out of the channel 22 as a liquid film on the outside of the wall 4. By favoring it on the large surface of the box wall 4 evaporation the box 2 would be additionally cooled. In order to initiate all possible liquid of such a liquid film in the channel 22 of a stacked box 4, according to the invention, for example, the lower of the box 2 extending around heels 14 channel-shaped, or at least not as shown as overhang but as a projection be formed - respectively with the lowest points as drainage points (possibly again with holes or slots) where, according to FIG. 11, the box wall projects beyond the channel 22 of the box stacked below it (12). But even in the illustrated form of the overhang paragraphs 14 due to surface tension and adhesion of liquid and in particular of water on solid surfaces a guiding function for the liquid film towards each local take over the lowest point of the paragraph - again, therefore, results in a technical function of the Wellenförmigkeit (14).
With reference to FIGS. 2, 12 and 13, it can be seen that the outer contour 20 of the box 2, which is wavy in plan view (FIGS. 2 and 12), does not have this shape for aesthetic reasons alone. Rather, the outer contour 20 is formed wave-shaped so that the waveform of a side edge of the box 2 is complementary to the waveform of the opposite side edge, so that the same boxes 2 adjacent form-fitting tight with these wave contours 20 nestle against each other (Figure 12). 12, it is to be understood that "interlocking" in the sense of the invention means, as it were, an interdigitation of two boxes adjacent to one another, which makes it difficult to disadvantageously separate the boxes from one another in the packaging association, compared to conventional boxes with straight wavy edge contours 20 13 substantially facilitates the pre-positioning of the boxes 2, for example on a pallet 32. It is clearly evident that the pallet 32 and the boxes stacked on it are still safe for safe transport However, according to the invention it is also conceivable to adjust the lateral profile 20 according to FIG. 2 by means of more complex additional contours (not shown) - for the purpose of attaching straps (not shown) or a film wrapping (not shown) Example a dovetail profile - to be completed so that adjacent boxes joined together not only against the shearing off each other, but are positively connected in other directions of action. It can also be seen clearly from FIGS. 12 and 13 that the box system according to the invention also provides different box sizes. The previously discussed only box 2 of certain size and (despite wavy outer contour 20) is substantially rectangular in shape in the illustrated system supplemented by a half as large box 34 as shown in FIG 12 and 13. This has a compared with the box 2 about half large horizontal surface and can be along their outer contours 20, which are formed as well as the box 2 at opposite side edges of the box 34 complementary wave-shaped, form fit to a total outer contour, which corresponds to the outer contour 20 of the box 2. This can be seen in Figure 12, where two boxes 34 occupy the area that would occupy a fourth box 2 in the box bottom left box. The box 34 is a rotary stacking box with correspondingly wavy shaped side walls. The drainage system of the box 34 works according to the previously described to the boxes 2.
