Description

Technisches GebietTechnical area

The invention relates to a stackable cutlery with a handle with a wall and a molded-on the handle functional element, according to the preamble of the independent claim.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

-Plastic cutlery, especially knives, spoons and forks, are widely used, whether as disposable cutlery for a single use or in places where plastic cutlery is preferred to metal cutlery for weight or safety reasons, such as in airplanes. Since cost and weight reasons the cutlery parts are made relatively thin-walled, sufficient stability is achieved by a corresponding shape. Usual, for example, handles with T, H, S or U-shaped cross-section. -

It may be desirable to stack a plurality of cutlery elements, for example, to simplify the creation of packaging units, or for space-saving storage, especially of cutlery items for multiple use.
The prior art includes various solutions for the design of stackable cutlery with U-shaped cross-section.
EP 0'129'495 A2 shows, for example, stackable cutlery in the form of spoon, knife and fork, whose handle has a substantially U-shaped cross-section. The handle is designed so that the convex side of a handle can be arranged positively in the concave side of another identical handle. A plurality of cutlery pieces can be stacked in this way. The shape of the cutlery and the achievable stack density is limited due to the U-shaped design of the handle. In addition, the individual pieces of cutlery may jam due to the wedge shape of the handles.
EP 1'514'497 A1 shows stackable cutlery parts with a U-shaped cross section, in which projections mounted on the concave side of the handle engage in recesses mounted on the convex side of an identical handle can be. A larger number of identical cutlery pieces can thus be connected in a form-fitting manner to a packaging unit after production. In each case, the user must irreversibly break away a piece of cutlery from the packaging unit by applying force, with the result that this solution is in principle not suitable for reusable cutlery pieces.
A stackable cutlery according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from US 2,752,678 A ,

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The object of the invention is to provide stackable cutlery of the type mentioned above, which does not have the above-mentioned and other disadvantages, and in particular allows a high stack density while minimizing material consumption.
These and other objects are achieved by an inventive cutlery according to the independent claim. Further preferred embodiments are given in the dependent claims.

A piece of cutlery according to the invention consists of a handle and a functional element molded onto it, which defines the use of the cutlery piece. Of course, the most common cutlery items are spoons, forks and knives.
In order to achieve the greatest possible stability, the handle of the cutlery part according to the invention is designed as a wall with longitudinal ribs arranged peripherally on both sides, so that a substantially H-shaped cross-section results. For additional stabilization on the functional element opposite longitudinal end of the handle on both sides of the wall, a terminal rib is arranged.
The terminal rib and the two longitudinal ribs on the two sides are designed so that when stacking the cutlery according to the invention the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the first side of a cutlery form fit into the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the second side of the subsequent cutlery in the stacking direction intervention.

The terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs of the handle of a cutlery part according to the invention are designed such that the ribs on the first side of the wall or the handle on the outer edge, ie on the edge of the ribs facing away from the wall, have a first bevel. On the second Side of the wall or the handle, the terminal rib and the longitudinal ribs on a wall facing the inner edge of a second bevel. This facilitates the automatic centering of the individual pieces of cutlery according to the invention during stacking. The requirements for the necessary precision of the production of the cutlery pieces according to the invention are also lower with such a solution, which is advantageous for cost reasons.
In an even more advantageous embodiment of a piece of cutlery according to the invention, the angle of inclination of the second bevel with respect to the plane of the wall is smaller than the angle of inclination of the first bevel with respect to the plane of the wall. This has the advantageous effect that the points of contact of pieces of cutlery according to the invention stacked on one another are limited to the outer edge of the ribs of the first side. The individual parts can be more easily separated from each other, and the risk of jamming is even lower.

Ausführung der ErfindungEmbodiment of the invention

FIG. 1 explains the structure of a cutlery according to the invention 1 based on a cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the handle 2 of the cutlery 1. On the first 4a and the second 4b side of the wall 4 of the handle 2 marginal longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'formed.
How out FIG. 1a it can be seen, the longitudinal ribs are designed such that when stacking the cutlery pieces 1, 1 'according to the invention, the ribs 6, 6' of the first side 4a of one piece of cutlery 1 form fit into the ribs 6, 6 'of the second side 4b of the other cutlery piece 1'. intervention. The analogous applies to the not visible in cross-section terminal ribs.

The Figures 2 and 2a show a further embodiment of an inventive cutlery 1, in cross-section through the handle 2. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'are arranged perpendicular to the wall. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the first side 4a are offset in relation to the longitudinal ribs 6, 6' of the second side 4b inwards. In the case of stacks of the cutlery items 1, 1 'according to the invention, the longitudinal ribs 6, 6' of the first side 4 a of the one cutlery piece 1 rest on the wall 4 of the second cutlery piece 1 '.

Analog können natürlich auch die Längsrippen der zweiten Seite 4b auf der Wandung 4 aufstehend ausgestaltet seinAnalogously, of course, the longitudinal ribs of the second side 4b may be configured to stand up on the wall 4

The FIG. 3 shows a further preferred variant of an inventive cutlery part 1, in a cross section through the handle 2. In this case, the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the first side 4a at the outer edge 8 a first slope 7a, and the longitudinal ribs 6, 6' of second side 4b a second bevel 7b. Advantageously, but not necessarily, as shown, the inclination angle α of the first chamfer 7a with respect to the plane of the wall 4 is greater than the inclination angle β of the second chamfer 7b relative to the plane of the wall 4. To avoid undercuts, β should be at least 90 °.
FIG. 3a shows two cutlery according to the invention 1,1 'from FIG. 3 in stacked condition. The longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'of the second side 4b of the cutlery part 1 lie only with the inner edge 9 on the first chamfer 7a of the further cutlery part, 1'.
In an alternative embodiment, the inclination angles α, β can also be chosen vice versa, so that the inclination angle α of the first slope 7a is smaller than the inclination angle β of the second slope 7b.

In order to enable a simple demolding of the cutlery from the tool in the manufacture of the inventive cutlery items made of plastic, for example by injection molding, all ribs are preferably designed so that they have no undercut.

FIG. 4 (a) shows an exemplary design of an inventive cutlery 1, the example of a knife, in supervision of the second side 4b. The item of cutlery 1 shown comprises a handle 2 and a functional part 3, in this case a blade 3. FIG. 4 (b) shows the handle 2 in a cross section along the line BB, and FIG. 4 (c) in a longitudinal section along the line CC. The inventive cutlery 1 from FIG. 4 is for illustration also in the FIGS. 6 (a) and (b) as wireframe and in the FIGS. 7 and 8th shown in perspective view. The FIGS. 5 (a), (b) and 9 show two inventive cutlery parts analogous to the example FIG. 4 in a stacked arrangement.

In the example shown, the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 'are extended over part of the outer edges of the blade 3, which increases the stability of the blade. An analogous procedure is also possible for other functional elements.

In FIG. 7 is on the first side 4a of the inventive cutlery 1 shown a first transverse rib 5a visible, which is arranged substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 '. Analogously shows FIG. 4 (a) and FIG. 8 on the second side 4b of the cutlery part 1, a second transverse rib 5b. At the transitions of the second transverse rib 5b in the longitudinal ribs 6, 6 ', two notches 10, 10' are mounted in the second transverse rib 5b.
