Der gabelförmige Mitnehmer 17 umgreift einen in der Treibstange 5 eingepressten Zapfen 19. Zwischen dem Mitnehmer 17 und der Antriebsstange 18 ist ein Ausleger 20 in einer Stufung 21 des Gehäuses 10 geführt. Die Antriebsstange 18 wird von einem mit der Handhabe 8 verbundenen Antriebsritzel 22 angetrieben. Das Antriebsritzel 22 ist zwischen zwei Gehäuseteilen 23, 24 drehbar gelagert. Eines der Gehäuseteile 23 weist eine Führung 25 für die Antriebsstange 18 auf, während das andere der Gehäuseteile 24 die Anschlagfläche 15 hat. Die Rasthaken 31 schnappen hinter dem Profilsteg 37 des Flügels 2 ein und haltern das Kantengetriebe 4. Das Gehäuse 10 weist an seiner Vorderseite 11 bis zu den Rastmitteln 28, 29 geführte Öffnungen 38 auf. Die Rastmittel 28, 29 haben im Bereich der Öffnungen 38 angeordnete Ausnehmungen 39. Damit lässt sich zur Demontage des Kantengetriebes 4 durch die Öffnungen 38 ein Werkzeug in die Ausnehmungen 39 einführen und die Rasthaken 31 in das Gehäuse 10 zurückziehen. Weiterhin zeigt Figur 4, dass in dem Gehäuse zwei Schraubgewinde 40, 41 zur Befestigung des Lagerbocks 12 der Handhabe 8 an dem Kantengetriebe 4 angeordnet sind. Durch eine im Vergleich zur Tasche 9 größere Auflagefläche des Lagerbocks 12, stützt sich der Lagerbock 12 auf der Oberseite des Flügels 2 ab. Toleranzen der Taschentiefe werden ausgeglichen, indem das Gehäuse 10 des Kantengetriebes 4 über Schrauben in Richtung des sich auf der Oberseite des Flügels 2 abstützenden Lagerbocks 12 gezogen wird, so dass die Rasthaken 31 gegen eine Rückseite des Profilstegs 37 gezogen werden. Damit wird das Kantengetriebe 4 auch dann in Position gehalten, wenn die Anschlagfläche 15 des Gehäuses 10 nicht auf dem Grund 14 der Tasche 9 aufliegt. Claims (10)

  1. Edge gearing for driving an espagnolette fitting of a window, a French window or the like, comprising a housing and a drive pinion mounted rotatably in the housing, comprising a drive recess for positioning a drive means for driving the drive pinion, comprising a driving rod, which is arranged longitudinally displaceably in a guide of the housing and is engaged with the drive pinion, and comprising coupling means for connecting the driving rod to a longitudinally displaceable drive rod of the espagnolette fitting, the coupling means projecting from a rear face of the housing, characterised in that side faces (26, 27) adjacent to the rear face (13) of the housing (10) have projecting fixing means for mounting the housing (10) in a clearance (9) in the window, the fixing means being formed as catch means (28, 29) which are biased by spring members (30).
  2. Edge gearing according to claim 1, characterised in that the rear face (13) of the housing (10) has a stop face (15) for support in a base (14) of the clearance (9).
  3. Edge gearing according to claim 2, characterised in that the housing (10) has openings (38) for releasing the catch means (28, 29), said openings being arranged on the front face (11), which opposes the rear face (13), of said housing and being guided as far as the catch means (28, 29).
  4. Edge gearing according to either claim 2 or claim 3, characterised in that the catch means (28, 29) are formed as catch hooks (31) and are distributed over at least two mutually opposing side faces (26, 27), and in that the catch hooks (31) each comprise ramps (36) which rise from the rear face (13) of the housing (10) to the front face (11) of the housing (10).
  5. Edge gearing according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the driving rod (18) has a series of individual through-holes (35) and the drive pinion (22) has teeth (34), and in that the driving rod (18) is guided in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction of the drive pinion (22).
  6. Edge gearing according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that an extension arm (20), extending parallel to the stop face (15) of the housing (10), is arranged between the driving rod (18) and a dog (17), provided for connection to the drive rod (5) of the espagnolette fitting (3), of the coupling means (16).
  7. Edge gearing according to claim 6, characterised in that the extension arm (20) is guided in a step formation (21) of the housing (10).
  8. Edge gearing according to either claim 6 or claim 7, characterised in that the dog (17) of the coupling means (16) is fork-shaped.
  9. Edge gearing according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing (10) comprises two mutually overlapping interconnected housing parts (23, 24), and in that the rear face (13) of the housing (10) is arranged on one of the housing parts (24), and the front face (11) and the guide (25) of the driving rod (18) are arranged on the other of the housing parts (23).
  10. Edge gearing according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing (10) comprises screwthreads (40, 41) for connection to a bearing block (12) of the drive means (7).
