Claims (15)

1. Modular wall-decorating system comprising a frame (10, 10'), which has a front side (12) and a rear side (13) and, with the rear side butting against a planar surface, in particular a wall, can be fastened on the planar surface, and also comprising a decorative element (11, 11a-d) which can be connected in a releasable manner to the frame (10, 10') such that the decorative element (11, 11a-d) rests on the front side (12) of the frame (10, 10') and fully covers the frame (10), characterized in that the decorative element is designed as a frameless, decorative panel (11, 11a-d).
2. Wall-decorating system according to Claim 1, characterized in that the frame (10, 10') comprises a plurality of individual limbs (10a-d, 10b') which are connected to one another, and in that the frame (10, 10') is continuous and is in the form of a rectangle, in particular of a square.

Wall-decorating system according to Claim 2, characterized in that the limbs (10a-d, 10b') of the frame (10, 10') are the same, in that the limbs (10a-d, 10b') comprise an extruded profile, in particular made of aluminium, in that the limbs (10a-d, 10b'), on the front side (12), each have a mounting groove (20), which is designed as a profile groove and in which mounting means (16,..,22) are accommodated in order to mount the decorative panel (11) in a releasable manner, in that the mounting means (16,..,22) are arranged at least in the corners of the frame (10, 10') and comprise a plurality of corner mounts (16, 16a-d), in that the mounting means (16,..,22) comprise additional, intermediate mounts (17, 17a-d) which are arranged on one or more limbs (10a-d, 10b'), between the corners of the frame (10, 10'), and in that the intermediate mounts (17, 17a-d) are mounted in a displaceable manner in each case in the front mounting groove (20).

Wall-decorating system according to Claim 2 or 3, characterized in that the retaining function of the mounting means (16,..,22) is based on a magnetic, in particular permanently magnetic, effect, in that the mounting means (16,..,22) each comprise a magnet holder (19, 22) and a magnet (18, 21) arranged on the magnet holder (19, 22), in that the magnet holder (19, 22) comprises in each case a baseplate (30, 30') with laterally formed retaining lugs (33, 34, 33', 34') for retaining and/or centring the magnet (18, 21) on the baseplate (30, 30'), in that the magnet holder (19, 22) is designed such that it can be pushed into the front mounting groove (20), in that the magnet holder (19, 22) consists of a plastics material, and in that the magnet holder (19, 22) is formed in one piece.

Wall-decorating system according to Claim 4, characterized in that the magnet holders (22) of the corner mounts (16, 16a-d) have an L-shaped baseplate (30) with in each case two guide portions (31, 32), which are oriented at right angles to one another and by means of which they can be pushed into the front mounting grooves (20) of the limbs (10a-d, 10b'), which abut at the corners.
6. Wall-decorating system according to Claim 4, characterized in that the magnet holders (19) of the intermediate mounts (17, 17a-d) have a baseplate (30') which is adapted to the front mounting groove (20) and can be pushed into the front mounting groove (20).
7. Wall-decorating system according to Claim 3, characterized in that the limbs (10a-d, 10b') are mitred at the corners of the frame (10, 10'), and in that the limbs (10a-d, 10b') are connected to one another in the corners by mounting brackets (15a-d).

Wall-decorating system according to one of Claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the rear side of the decorative panel (11) has provided on it means (25, 25a-h) which, in interaction with the magnets (18, 21) in the corner mounts (16, 16a-d) and/or intermediate mounts (17, 17a-d), generate a force of attraction between the frame (10, 10') and panel (11).
9. Wall-decorating system according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that spacers (24) are arranged on the front side (12) of the frame (10, 10'), at a distance apart from the outer periphery of the frame (10, 10'), and therefore the decorative panel (11) resting on the frame (10, 10') is at a uniform distance from the front side (12) of the frame (10, 10') and forms a blind joint (39), and in that the spacers comprise a profile protrusion (24) running all the way around the front side (12) of the frame (10, 10').
10. Wall-decorating system according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that means (14, 14a-d; 23; 35) for fastening the frame (10) on a planar surface, in particular a wall, are provided on the inside of the frame (10), and in that the fastening means comprise an angled-profile fastening bar (23), which runs all the way around the inside of the frame (10), and one or more fastening elements (14, 14a-d), which can be connected to the surface or wall and have a hook part (27) engaging behind the fastening bar (23).
11. Wall-decorating system according to Claim 8, characterized in that the means on the rear side of the decorative panel (11, 11 a-d) comprise metal plates (25, 25a-h) which are arranged in the corners and/or on the peripheries of the decorative panel (11) and interact with the magnets (18, 21) on the frame (10).
12. Wall-decorating system according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the decorative panel (11) comprises at least one carrier panel (40, 43, 44, 48) which has been combined with a decorative layer (41, 42, 45, 49).

Wall-decorating system according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the frame (10') is of the same design on the front side (12) and the rear side (13) such that decorative panels (11, 11') can be fastened in a releasable manner on the front side (12) and on the rear side (13), and in that the frame (10') is part of a free-standing wall, in particular of a partition wall or display wall.

Wall-decorating system according to Claim 13, characterized in that the frame (10') comprises a plurality of individual limbs (10b') which are connected to one another, in that the frame (10') is continuous and is in the form of a rectangle, in particular of a square, in that the limbs (10b') of the frame (10') are the same, in that the limbs (10b') comprise an extruded profile, in particular made of aluminium, in that the limbs (10b'), on the front side (12) and on the rear side (13), each have a mounting groove (20, 20') which is designed as a profile groove and in which mounting means (16,..,22, 16a') are accommodated in order to mount the decorative panel (11, 11') in a releasable manner, and in that the mounting means (16,..,22, 16a') each comprise a magnet holder (19, 22) and a magnet (18, 21) arranged on the magnet holder (19, 22).

Wall-decorating system according to Claim 13 or 14, characterized in that spacers (24') are arranged on the front side (12) and on the rear side (13) of the frame (10'), at a distance apart from the outer periphery of the frame (10'), and therefore the decorative panel (11, 11') resting on the frame (10') is at a uniform distance from the front side (12) and rear side (13) of the frame (10') and forms a blind joint (39, 39'), and in that the spacers comprise a profile protrusion (24, 24') running all the way around the front side (12) and the rear side (13) of the frame (10').
