Description

The present invention relates to an anchor escapement for a timepiece comprising an escape wheel equipped with at least one wheel, a balance plate carrying a plateau pin and an anchor arranged to cooperate with the plateau pin, this anchor being equipped with first and second pallets of rest and a pallet of impulse, said pallets being arranged to cooperate with the teeth of the escape wheel.

Un échappement de ce type est également connu du brevet EP-A-0 018 796 .An anchor escapement broadly in line with the description given in the above paragraph is known and described in the book entitled "La Montre: Principles and Methods of Manufacture" by George Daniels, Editions Scriptar SA, La Convention, Lausanne 1993. This escapement is exposed in pages 247 and 248 of the said work. As can be understood from reading this document, the escapement further comprises a second integral pulse pallet of the balance plate and cooperating with the escape wheel. An exhaust of this type is also known from EP-A-0 018 796 .

The anchor escapement for a timepiece according to the present invention is defined by claim 1 of the patent.

The invention will now be explained in detail below by two embodiments given by way of nonlimiting examples, these embodiments being illustrated by the appended drawings in which:
  • the figure 1 is a plan view of a first embodiment of the escapement according to the invention,
  • the figure 2 is a plan view of a second embodiment of the exhaust according to the invention which shows the beginning of the release of the escape wheel, and
  • the Figures 3 to 14 are plan views explaining the operating phases of the exhaust according to the second embodiment of the invention, these phases covering a complete oscillation of the balance plate.

The figure 1 is a plan view of the exhaust mechanism according to a first embodiment of the present invention. This exhaust includes an exhaust mobile 60 equipped with a single escape wheel 2. In known manner, this wheel is driven by a train itself driven by a barrel, cog and barrel not being represented at the figure 1 . When the wheel 2 is free, it rotates counterclockwise as indicated by the arrow 40. The exhaust further comprises a plate 3 which is associated with a not shown balance spring. The plate 3 carries a pin 4. An anchor 5 mounted on a pivot 36 is arranged to cooperate with the pin 4 of the plate 3. In a manner known per se, the anchor carries a rod 11 terminated by a fork 12 in which can penetrate the anchor 4 of the plate 3. The anchor is equipped with first and second pallets of rest 6 and 7 and a pallet of pulse 8, these pallets being arranged to cooperate with the teeth 20, 21, 22. the escape wheel 2.

As the figure 1 , the present invention is original in that the anchor 5 drives an auxiliary mobile 9. The latter carries a second pulse pallet 10 arranged to cooperate with the teeth 21, 22, 23, ... of the escape wheel 2.

More specifically, the embodiment given here as an example proposes a disk 13 as an auxiliary mobile. This disc 13 is articulated on a pivot 14 and carries at its periphery said second auxiliary pallet 10 and a pin 15 which is trapped in an opening oblong 16 practiced in the anchor 5. The pin 15 and the opening 16 thus form a movable hinge like a toggle.

The auxiliary mobile is not limited to the execution described above. Indeed, and without it being necessary to show it in a drawing, this mobile 9 could be a rocker articulated on a pivot bearing on the one hand said second pulse pallet 10 and on the other hand a toothed sector meshing with a rake attached to the anchor 5.

Here the escape wheel 60 is not a single wheel, but has first and second escape wheels 1 and 2 integral with each other and mounted coaxially on one another. In this second embodiment, the first impulse pallet 8 cooperates with the first wheel 1 while the second impulse pallet 10 and the first and second pallet 6 and 7 cooperate with the second wheel 2. On found here the same innovation that characterized the first embodiment, namely the implementation of the auxiliary mobile 9 controlled by the anchor 5.

However, and without it being necessary to show it in section, it will be understood that the anchor 5 with the first impulse pallet 8 are located at the level of the first escape wheel 1, whereas the first and second pallets of rest 6 and 7 that the anchor 5 extends at the teeth 20, 21, 22, ... of the second escape wheel 2. It will also be understood that the auxiliary mobile 9 is located at the level of the second escape wheel 2.

We will now explain the operation of the exhaust according to the invention. This will be used for the second embodiment comprising two escape wheels. A complete oscillation of the plateau 3 is illustrated in FIGS. Figures 3 to 14 . The different phases of operation will be reviewed below.

C'est le début du dégagement de la roue 2.In figure 3 , the plate 3 rotates in the direction of the arrow 41. The second escape wheel 2 is at rest by its tooth 20 on the first pallet of rest 6 of the anchor 5. The rod 11 of the anchor 5 is in pressing on a first locking pin 50. The pin 4 of the plate 3 comes into contact with the fork 12 of the rod 11. This is the beginning of the release of the wheel 2.

The pin 4 has driven the anchor 5 in the direction of the arrow 42, forcing the pallet rest 6 to slide along the tooth 20 of the wheel 2 to get out of his grip. By turning in the direction of the arrow 42, the oblong hole 16 of the anchor 5 drives the pin 15 of the disk 13 to rotate the disk 13 in the direction of the arrow 43. The second pulse pallet 10 of the disk 13 is thus brought to cut the trajectory of the tooth 22 of the wheel 2. This is the end of the release and the beginning of the release of the wheel 2.

C'est la phase du début d'impulsion sur le disque 13.As we see in figure 5 , the released wheel 2 driven by the wheel of the timepiece rotates in the direction of the arrow 40 and its tooth 22 has come into contact with the pulse pallet 10. This is the phase of the pulse start on the disc 13.

C'est la fin de l'impulsion sur le mobile supplémentaire 9.In figure 6 the tooth 22 of the wheel 2 is at the end of the impulse and has restarted the disc 13 in the same direction as it had hitherto (arrow 43). The pin 15 trapped in the oblong hole 16 drives the anchor 5 in the direction of the arrow 42, which allows the simultaneous restart of the plate 3 by its peg 4 in the direction of the arrow 41. This is the end of the impulse on the additional mobile 9.

C'est la phase de prise de repos qui bloque la roue 2.As is apparent in figure 7 , the anchor 5 continues to swing in the direction of the arrow 42 so that its second pallet 7 breaks the trajectory of the teeth of the wheel 2 causing its tooth 21 to abut against this pallet 7. This is the idle phase which blocks the wheel 2.

The pin 4 has escaped from the fork 12 forcing the rod 11 of the anchor 5 to bear against a second pin 51. The disk 13 is also at rest, its pin 15 resting at the bottom of the oblong opening 16. The rest pallet 7, is engaged fully on the tooth 21 by pulling effect. From this moment the tray travels its additional bow always in the same direction 41 and turns back to turn in the direction of the arrow 44.

C'est le début du dégagement de la palette de repos 7.The figure 9 presents the same situation as that shown in figure 8 except that the pin 44 returning in the direction of the arrow 44 has come into contact with the fork 12 of the anchor 5. This is the beginning of the release of the pallet rest 7.

C'est la fin du dégagement et le début de la libération de la roue 1 solidaire de la roue 2.As the figure 10 shows, the peg 4 continuing its course in the direction of the plate 3, takes off the rod 11 of the limiting pin 51, the anchor 5 then rotating in the direction of the arrow 45. This movement slides the pallet rest 7 along the tooth 21 of the wheel 2 to get out of his grip. By turning in the direction of the arrow 45, the oblong hole 16 of the anchor 5 drives the pin 15 of the disc 13 to rotate the latter in the direction of the arrow 46. This is the end of the release and the beginning of the release of the wheel 1 secured to the wheel 2.

Le plateau est alors relancé dans le sens de la flèche 44.The figure 11 shows that the wheel 1, driven by the gear of the timepiece, has rotated in the direction of the arrow 40. The tooth 31 of the wheel 1 comes into contact with the first pulse pallet 8 equipping the anchor 5 This is the pulse start that is transmitted to the plate 3 by the rod 11 (which rotates in the direction of the arrow 45), the fork 12 and the pin 4. The plate is then restarted in the direction of the arrow 44.

The figure 12 presents the end of the impulse of the tooth 31 of the wheel 1 on the impulse pallet 8 of the anchor 5. Continuing to turn in the direction of the arrow 45 the anchor 5 sees its first pallet of rest 6 cut the trajectory of the teeth of the wheel 2. Through the pin 15 pin - hole oblong 16, the disc 13 progresses in the direction of the arrow 46 to occupy a position roughly similar to that shown in FIG. figure 3 that is to say, the one she occupied at the beginning of the oscillation reviewed here.

As we can see in figure 13 the wheel 2 has continued to rotate in the direction of the arrow 40 and its tooth 27 has come into contact with the rest pallet 6 which blocks the wheel 2. The pin 4 of the plate 3 is about to leave the fork 12 This is a new phase of rest taking.

The figure 14 shows the total rest of the tooth 27 on the pallet 6. The pulling effect exerted by the rotational force of the wheel 2 causes the tip of the tooth 27 to scale along the pallet of rest 6. The rod 11 of the 5 anchor comes to rest against the limiting pin 50. From this moment, the plate travels its additional arc in the direction of the arrow 44 and turns back in the opposite direction (arrow 41). When the ankle 4 again enters the range 12, we then find the situation described in connection with the figure 3 and a new cycle or oscillation can begin again.
