The holding-down/clamping rollers, the sucking chamber and guide rods (14) represent a self-adjusting springy sucking unit with height movement and automatically adapt to different strip thicknesses.

Description

The invention relates to a belt cleaning device for removing impurities located on a belt moving relative to the belt cleaning device, comprising a spraying chamber for applying a cleaning fluid to the belt surface to be cleaned and comprising a suction chamber connected downstream in the direction of movement of the belt of the spraying chamber for sucking off the cleaning liquid located on the belt surface. contaminant mixture.

It has crystallized out in practice that the cleaning success is better when two separate work areas are provided in a closed hood, sprayed in a first working area - a spray chamber - a cleaning liquid on the belt surface to be cleaned and in the second work area - a Suction chamber - the cleaning liquid-impurity mixture is sucked off. The cleaning success is then in turn all the better, the better the separation of the two work area succeeds and the better both work areas are sealed against the environment.

In DE 24 57 708 A1 this method principle is implemented, wherein in the front wall of the spray area and in the rigid partition wall between the working areas flow channels are provided which significantly reduce the cleaning effect.

In EP 0 279 729 B1 is also the separation of the spray and suction realized, although in the vertical direction rigid partition at a short distance above the surface to be cleaned ends, but both work areas are not completely sealed from the environment, there is an opening in the enclosing the spray chamber Hood for carrying the high-pressure lines and the side walls of the suction hood are not provided with sealing strips. The two work areas must be conditionally attached to the rear of a vehicle because an additional humidification system is provided in front of the vehicle.

In EP 0 773 327 B1 a cleaning system is presented which does not have the disadvantages mentioned in relation to the belt cleaning devices described above. Both working areas of this cleaning device are completely shielded from each other and the environment. To the outside, a shielding by sealing lips, which are located at the bottom of the spray and suction hood. The two chambers are separated by a vertically extending rigid transverse wall, which ends just above the surface to be cleaned.

In DE 100 37 548 C2 is a two-chamber suction hood specified in which the partition wall ends tightly over the surface to be cleaned and provided on the hood in the closing direction resiliently mounted ventilation flaps. This construction serves to regulate the negative pressure conditions in the hood itself regulating.

A roller seal between objects or devices and a surface is in DE 199 09 410 C2 released; Here, freely movable, parallel rollers are provided, which have over a bearing axis an enlarged central bore, so that they are movable up and down. Instead of the rollers flat rods can be used with a slot as sealing elements.

In FR 2 667 087 A1 A plant for the rust removal of surfaces and for the cleaning of soils with extraction is presented. Again, in a hood and vacuumed, with the special feature is that a solid mordanting agent such as sand is entrained over a high flow velocity and thus with high impact energy on the surface to be rusted meets (principle sandblasting).

In a working hood, a liquid is brought to the surface with pressure and distributed by a horizontally rotating cleaning roller on the surface; at the same time a suction head is mounted in the hood, which is sealed to the surface.

The known from the prior art devices are limited suitable for cleaning thin strip material, since the tape itself is sucked in with suction of the dissolved emulsion on the tape. Such bands may be, for example, thin steel bands, from the surface of the tape adhering scale should be removed.

Based on this discussed prior art, the invention is therefore the object of developing a belt cleaning device of the type mentioned in such a way that effectively the cleaning liquid-impurity mixture can be sucked off without this is to be feared that the tape to be cleaned the Suction-side opening of the suction chamber closes.

This object is achieved by a belt cleaning device of the aforementioned type, in which the belt cleaning device tape holding means which act on the located within the suction chamber belt section and through which the band within the suction chamber in a defined, the same or the width of the belt is held approximately the same distance to the suction-side opening.

To prevent suction of the band closing the suction opening, this band cleaning apparatus has one or more band holding means. These act on the band section located inside the suction chamber or below the suction opening of the suction chamber. By the tape holding means or the band moved past the suction opening of the suction chamber is held at a defined distance from the suction-side opening. The tape holding means used for guiding and spacing the tape act on the tape. In a suction chamber which is stationary relative to the upper side of the band, the band is guided past the suction-side opening of the suction chamber by the band-holding means at the desired spacing. It is also possible to arrange the suction chamber in a floating manner, so that the band holding means set up the suction chamber or a suction chamber unit comprising a suction hood relative to the strip surface. Such a suction chamber unit is then supported on the surface of the belt to be cleaned. Such an embodiment is preferred, since in this an automatic adjustment takes place at different strip thicknesses.

The tape holding means described above may be designed to be touching the tape surface or working without contact. Contacting belt-holding means are, for example, one or more rollers extending transversely to the belt transport direction with respect to their axis of rotation and extending over the width of the belt. These rollers are part of a suction hood unit comprising a suction hood and form the belt end of the suction chamber unit. Thus, according to this embodiment, the suction chamber unit is supported by the roller (s) on the upper side of the belt to be cleaned. In order to improve a passage of cleaning fluid-impurity mixture through an input-side roller as seen in the transport direction of the belt, it is provided according to an exemplary embodiment to construct such a roller from a plurality of roller segments, between each of which roller segments a gap is arranged. Instead of providing individual roller segments for constructing such a roller, in principle, a continuous roller can also be provided, in which circumferentially spaced circumferential grooves are introduced.

Instead of a band top contacting the design of the tape holding means they can also be designed without contact. A non-contact tape holding means is, for example, a nozzle bar arranged transversely to the tape transport direction and having a plurality of nozzle openings distributed over the width of the tape. In a distribution of the belt cleaning device of the nozzle beam with a pressurized fluid, such as compressed air is applied. The fluid emerging from the nozzle bar under pressure then forms a fluid cushion, for example an air cushion, which prevents the band to be cleaned from closing the suction opening of the suction chamber. The fluid exiting under pressure from such a nozzle bar can also support the cleaning process due to the kinetic energy acting in this way on the strip surface to be cleaned. Also possible is a combination of touching and non-contact designed tape holding means. Such a combination lends itself to embodiments in which viewed in the transport direction of the belt suction chamber inlet side, a roller is arranged as the first belt holding means and the lower end of the suction hood on the output side of the suction chamber a Has nozzle contour. In such an embodiment, there is usually no room for an output side roller support. If a band support is desired on the output side, this can be realized using a nozzle beam as described above. The nozzle bar of such a configuration would then expediently be arranged outside the suction hood and thus before the inlet formed by the nozzle contour.

The nozzle contour itself is expediently designed as an acceleration nozzle, namely acting into the suction chamber. The arrangement of a nozzle bar nozzle-side, as seen in the flow direction of the air flowing through the nozzle contour during operation of the belt cleaning device, in particular, when the output of the nozzle of the nozzle beam is inclined towards the nozzle inlet and thus the fluid acting on the nozzle beam in the direction of the suction chamber inclined to the surface of the belt to be cleaned, assisted by the air flowing in through the nozzle contour, assisting in the removal of all of the belt surface dissolved impurities and the entire applied cleaning liquid act. In principle, it may also be provided to design the band holding means magnetically. However, such tape holding means can only be used if the tape to be cleaned has ferromagnetic properties. In this concept, it is provided to keep the band to be cleaned at a distance from the suction opening of the suction chamber by arranging corresponding magnets.

In a floating or otherwise höheneinrichtbaren arrangement of the suction chamber unit, this can be provided by the weight of the suction chamber unit, by spring force and / or by the force acting on the tape suction force. Basically, no complicated mechanics or hydraulics is necessary for the height adjustability of the suction chamber.

For descaling the surface of a steel strip 10 is a belt cleaning device B. The belt cleaning device B is arranged at the top with respect to the belt 10 to be cleaned. The belt 10 to be cleaned is a thin steel belt. The belt cleaning device B has a hood 1. Within the hood 1, a spray chamber 2 is arranged.

Within the hood 1 in the spray chamber 2 via a hollow shaft 5 and the rotating nozzle bar 6 with a nozzle 11, a water-cleaning agent mixture on the belt cleaning device B facing surface of the cleaned to be cleaned, moving in the direction of arrow tape 10. In this case, a directed spray jet 12 is generated on the strip surface. The resulting on the tape 10 dirt emulsion is sucked in a likewise enclosed by the hood 1 suction chamber 3 via a suction channel 4. The spray chamber 2 is separated from the region of the hood 1, which receives the spray chamber 2, by a fixed web 9 in the manner of a transverse wall. In which the suction chamber 3 associated region of the hood 1 is a suction hood 13 comprehensive suction chamber unit is arranged. On the suction hood 13 outside guide rods 14 are arranged, which pass through the top of the hood 1 and are guided in brackets 15 of the hood 1. In this way, the suction chamber unit within the suction chamber 3 associated region of the hood 1 in the vertical direction, as indicated by the double arrow, movable.

Part of the suction chamber unit are two with respect to their axis of rotation transversely to the transport direction of the belt 10 arranged rollers 7, 7 '. The rollers 7, 7 'are connected to the suction hood 13 and form the band-side support of the suction chamber unit.

The suction chamber 3 of the illustrated embodiment is thus significantly formed by the suction hood 13 and the rollers 7, 7 '. Between the rollers 7, 7 'and the band-side completion of the suction hood 13 is in each case a gap through which passes during an operation of the belt cleaning device B also cleaning liquid-impurity mixture and through the suction channel 4 is led away.

The distance between the two rollers 7, 7 'of the suction chamber unit is as small as possible. The spacing of the rollers 7, 7 'is selected such that during operation of the belt cleaning device B, the belt is not drawn into the gap between the two rollers 7, 7'. Depending on the extension of the suction hood 13 in the transport direction of the belt 10, therefore, one will adjust the diameter of the rollers 7, 7 'and their distance from each other accordingly. During operation of the belt cleaning device B, the gaps provided between the rollers 7, 7 'and the belt-side closure of the suction hood 13 also serve the purpose that complete closure of the suction-side opening of the suction chamber 3 does not occur through the surface of the belt 10 to be cleaned.

FIG. 2 shows the suction chamber unit of FIG. 1 in a perspective view. It can be seen that the rollers 7, 7 'are part of the suction chamber unit. Are stored, the rollers 7, 7 'in each case a front-side bearing plate 18, 18'.

Only for guiding the band 10, a further roller 19 is arranged in the spray chamber 2.

Since both tops are to be cleaned at the same time in the band 10, there is another band-cleaning device B 'on the underside of the band 10, which is constructed identically to the band-cleaning apparatus B. This not only has the advantage that both band surfaces can be cleaned simultaneously, but that also a tape guide by the respect to the plane of the tape each other in mirror image opposite rollers 7, 7 ', 19, the band within the device defined by the two belt cleaning devices B, B 'is guided defined. The suction chamber units of the two belt cleaning devices B, B 'are supported in the illustrated embodiment with a certain preload on their rollers 7, 7' on the respective belt surface. To exert a certain contact pressure and pneumatic adjusting means can be used.

The two belt cleaning devices B, B 'of FIG. 1 are arranged only by way of example in the horizontal direction. Of course, it is possible to bring the belt cleaning devices in any spatial position, so that they can be arranged virtually anywhere on a tape guide. The negative pressure in the suction chambers produced by the suction channels 4 is sufficiently large that the cleaning liquid-impurity mixture is effectively sucked off regardless of the spatial position of the belt cleaning devices B, B 'and the surfaces of the belt 10 are clean and dry from the belt cleaning devices B, B ' stepping out.

With the arrows associated with the reference numeral 8 are marked with respect to the belt cleaning device B air and cleaning fluid impurity mixture pathways. In an operation of the belt cleaning device B - the same applies to the belt cleaning device B '- on the nozzle bar 6 pressurized cleaning liquid is sprayed onto the surface of the belt 10. Adherent scale or other impurities are released and pass through the gap between the roller 7 'and the suction hood 13 and between the underside of the roller 7' and the upper side of the tape into the suction chamber 3. The roller 7 'is constructed for this purpose from individual roller segments. Between each roller segment is a gap, so that between the roller segments and under the roller segments in the direction of the suction chamber 3 cleaning fluid-impurity mixture can pass into the suction chamber 3. As a result of the vacuum applied to the suction channel 4, the emulsion located in the suction chamber 3 is sucked out of it. The suction process is assisted by entering from the outside under the wall 16 of the hood 1 air, both by the gap formed between the roller 7 and the output side of the suction hood 13 and supports air entering between the roller 7 and the surface of the belt 10.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of a belt cleaning device B ". The belt cleaning device B" is basically constructed like the belt cleaning device B described above. Therefore, like parts are designated by like reference numerals. In contrast to the belt cleaning device B, the belt cleaning device B "has a nozzle contour 17 at the bottom of its suction hood 13. The nozzle contour 17 is designed like an accelerating nozzle, here as a Laval nozzle The nozzle is ultimately formed by the distance of the top of the belt 10 from the nozzle cooktop 17 of the suction hood 13. Typically, the airflow passing through the nozzle is stronger than the suction force acting on the belt 10. In addition, the air flow flowing into the suction chamber ensures that the belt 10 does not come to bear against the nozzle contour 17.

The support of the suction chamber units on the upper side of the belt 10 can also be provided in such a way that the belt conveyed past the suction-side opening of a suction chamber flutters. Such fluttering may assist the aspiration process.

In the described embodiments, the belt cleaning device is arranged stationary and the belt to be cleaned has been transported past this. Likewise, to achieve the same purpose, the belt cleaning device can also be transported relative to the belt.
