Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sock, in particular for use in sports activities, which has a padding in the region of the Achilles tendon which is formed by at least two cushions, wherein between the cushions in each case a substantially horizontally oriented joint is formed.
Especially in sports activities, the human feet are usually housed in sturdy shoes. In addition, they are often surrounded by socks. Due to the many and fast movements, sporty activities result in increased friction of the foot in the shoe, combined with dynamic shock loads. This particularly affects the area of the protruding Achilles tendon. Due to the usually hard edge of the shoe upper, which rests depending on footwear at different heights on the Achilles tendon, this can also be extremely loaded by the punctually attacking friction and shock. This can lead to premature fatigue of the foot as well as abrasions and damage to the Achilles tendon.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. The invention aims to remedy this situation. The invention is based on the one hand to ensure mobility in the Achilles tendon while maintaining the protection of the Achilles tendon, on the other hand to allow an improvement of the air conditioning in the Achilles tendon. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the cushions have a bent shape in the direction of the heel region, and that the outermost ends of the cushions are bent down into a region in the direction of the heel region, which lies below the highest point of the adjacent cushion ,
With the invention, a sock, especially for sporting activities, created that further improves the protection of the Achilles tendon in the shoe. By provided between the pads joints is while maintaining the Achilles tendon protection improves mobility in the area of the Achilles tendon, as the sock thus has a kind of "predetermined kinking points" in the area of the heel. In addition, an improvement of the air conditioning in the area of the Achilles tendon is made possible because on the one hand not always provided additional material for the protection of the Achilles tendon, on the other hand, the joints assume the function of ventilation channels. The curved shape is also a very good shield against the sock surrounding footwear created and caused a uniform pressure distribution.
In a further development of the invention, the pads are divided by a vertically oriented web. Through the bridge, which is behind the cushions, the pads are held on the side of the Achilles tendon in an optimal position. In addition, a distance between Achilles tendon and shoe is achieved, whereby friction and shock loads can be kept away from the Achilles tendon.
The web is formed in a further embodiment of the invention in the form of a pad which has a smaller thickness than the pads. The additional padding of the bridge further enhances the protection of the Achilles tendon. On the one hand, it is ensured by the smaller thickness of the web that the distance pads reliably maintain their position on both sides of the Achilles tendon even during extreme sporting activities. On the other hand, the Achilles tendon itself is additionally protected by the padding of the bridge against frictional and shock loads.
In another embodiment of the invention, the pad in shape of the anatomical shape of the foot are aligned in the Achilles tendon. As a result, the absorption of the dynamic shock loads is optimized by the padding and minimizes the burden on the Achilles tendon.
