  • the recess 35 ensures that there is no contact with the corner region of the sheet while the channels 36 ensure reduced contact along the sheet edges. Any shocks to the corner protector are therefore distributed across the faces of the glass sheet away from its vulnerable edges.
  • the corner protectors can easily be removed by peeling the adhesive pads away from the sheet, using the notches 42 for finger access to the edge of the pads.

Claims (7)

  1. Eckenschützer, der auf die Ecke eines Artikels aufgebracht ist und der ein Paar von Seitenwänden (23, 24) aufweist, die durch ein Paar von im Wesentlichen senkrechten Überbrückungswänden (31, 32) verbunden sind, wobei wenigstens eine der Seitenwände eine Öffnung (40) enthält, die durch die Seitenwand hindurch verläuft,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
    die Öffnung (50) ein Klebekissen (P) aufnimmt, das an dem Artikel haftet, um den Eckenschützer in Position zu halten.
  2. Eckenschützer nach Anspruch 1, bei dem die Überbrückungswände Innenflächen haben, die durch eine Vertiefung (35) voneinander getrennt sind.
  3. Eckenschützer nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei dem die Überbrückungswände innere Kanäle (36) haben, die entlang der Verbindungen zwischen den Seitenwänden (23, 24) und den Überbrückungswänden (31, 32) verlaufen.
  4. Eckenschützer nach einem der vorhergehender Ansprüche, bei dem die Seitenwände Ränder (27) haben, die zwischen den äußeren Enden der Überbrückungswände verlaufen und kurvenförmig und gegeneinander versetzt entlang ihrer gesamten Länge sind.
  5. Eckenschützer nach Anspruch 4, bei dem die kurvenförmigen Ränder (27) der Seitenwände im Wesentlichen S-förmig sind.
  6. Eckenschützer nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei dem die Öffnung (40) eine Fingerausnehmung (42) umfasst.
  7. Eckenschützer nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, bei dem die Kanten der Seitenwände, die durch die Überbrückungswände verbunden sind, jeweils an einem oder an beiden Enden (28, 29, 30) abgerundet sind.
