Abstract

The manhole (2) has a cover (10) with a closure shell (12) to close an opening (6) defined by a frame (4), and a cylindrical skirt (14) centered on a central axis (X-X). A main seal (18) is arranged on an inner flange (8) of the frame, and interposed between the cover and the frame when the cover is in closed position. The skirt defines a concave corner (16) radially directed outwards relative to the axis. An auxiliary seal (20) is arranged on the skirt, and contacts the corner when the manhole is at closed state. The seals are made of elastic material.
