Description

Technisches Gebiet der ErfindungTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to a door seal for a threshold-free door according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

Lowerable door seals are used as sound insulation and as protection against drafts. Typically, they consist of a downwardly open guide rail U-shaped cross-section, held in the guide rail and relative to this sliding single or multi-piece sealing strip and a drive mechanism for automatically lowering and raising the sealing strip, the drive mechanism activated by the closing or opening of the door becomes.

Out EP-A-0 338 974 . EP 1 489 257 and US 2004/0111972 seals are known which seal both laterally and downwardly. The sealing strip is for this purpose formed in one piece and has upwardly projecting legs, which bear against the inner side walls of the guide rail at least partially sealing. Below its attachment point to the support rail, the sealing strip goes into an arcuate web, which is pressed in the lowered state on the floor, deformed accordingly and assumes the lower sealing function.

EP-A-1 162 341 also discloses a seal with side legs and resting on the floor arcuate web, wherein the legs extend outside the guide rail. On both sides of the web obliquely outwardly projecting support legs are arranged, which the legs in the lowered state to press against the guide rail.

At the time of the DE-U-298 16 448 known door seal are created by two sealing lips on both sides symmetrically to the central axis arranged sealing lips additional support edges on the floor. For this, however, a sufficient lateral seal is missing.

EP-A-0 046 441 has two vertically downwardly projecting sealing lips. Again, a lateral seal is missing.

Although these gaskets have an absolutely satisfactory sealing function in quality constructions, they are often inadequate in difficult constructions. In low-cost new buildings, the soils are often poured so that they have up to 1 cm height difference. In particular, old buildings often have wavy, symmetrical or asymmetrical humped, hollow or sloping floors, so that the door seal can not rest on the floor over the entire length and can seal sufficiently. Even joints of parquet floors or slabs can lead to insufficient sealing performance.

DE 297 20 8543 U further discloses a lowering seal, which is lowered obliquely to the horizontal. This seal has three downwardly projecting tongues whose longest tongue is intended to bear against the door frame.

EP 0 810 345 shows a door leaf sealing profile with an obliquely downwardly projecting sealing lip. It is to allow for larger uneven ground a secure bottom-side conclusion.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a lowerable door seal of the type mentioned for heavily uneven floors, in addition to a high degree of flexibility and good seal against the floor pad and a good lateral seal has and is structurally simple.

This object is achieved by a door seal having the features of patent claim 1.

The door seal according to the invention has a guide rail and a support rail which can be lowered and raised in the guide rail and has a sealing element held therein, which in the lowered state seals on one side Ground abuts and forms a lower seal. The sealing element has a substantially U-shaped cross section with two legs and a web which connects lower ends of the two legs with each other, wherein at least one of the two legs forms a lateral seal. According to the invention at least one downwardly projecting sealing lip is formed on the web, which rests sealingly in the lowered state on the ground and is measured in the lowering so long that the web is spaced in this lowered state to the ground.

Preferably, the web is relatively short, so that it is hardly deformed in the lowered state. Furthermore, the transition between web and side legs is preferably formed kinked or thinned.

Preferably, the carrier rail and the sealing element are lowered and raised exclusively in the vertical direction and have no horizontal movement component.

The inventive door seal is particularly suitable for very uneven and inclined floors, as they occur for example in renovations or low-cost new buildings.

Further advantageous embodiments will become apparent from the dependent claims.

Beschreibung von bevorzugten AusführungsbeispielenDescription of preferred embodiments

The FIGS. 1 to 3 show an embodiment of an inventive lowerable door seal. It has a guide rail 1, a support rail 2 which can be lifted and lowered therein, and a sealing element 4 arranged on the support rail 2. Furthermore, a lowering mechanism is provided to automatically raise or lower the door seal by opening or closing the door. An example of such a lowering mechanism is shown in FIG DE 195 16 530 described. However, other types of such mechanisms can also be used.

The guide rail 1 is preferably a profile rail, which is made by extrusion of aluminum. It has a U-shaped cross-section, with an upper web 10 and two parallel, from the upper web 10 at right angles projecting outer side walls 11, 12. Adjacent to the upper web 10 and approximately parallel to this protrude from the side walls 11, 12 against each other directed guide webs 13, 14 to form an undercut longitudinal groove 15 inwardly. The longitudinal groove 15 serves to receive the guide rod of the lowering mechanism, which preferably comprises a plurality of leaf springs.

Within the guide rail 1, a support rail 2 for fixing a sealing element 4 is arranged. The support rail 2, which may for example also be an extruded aluminum profile, comprises a profile part with a substantially U-shaped cross-section, with an upper bracket 22 and from this at right angles protruding parallel inner side walls 20, 21, the free ends facing the upper web 10 of the guide rail 1 and define a receiving space for a damping element 3. At the side facing away from the cross-sectionally U-shaped profile part of the support rail 2 side of the upper bracket 22 protrudes centrally and parallel to the two inner side walls 20, 21 from a comb 24. The comb 24 is bounded at its end remote from the upper bracket 22 by an end web or lower bracket 23 arranged substantially parallel to the upper bracket 22.

The over the upper bracket 22 of the support rail 2 also extended to the lower bracket 23 toward inner side walls 20, 21 are arranged between upper bracket 22 and lower bracket 23 to form two longitudinal opening slots of two symmetrically to each other, of upper bracket 22, comb 24 and lower bracket 23 limited, undercut longitudinal grooves 25, 26 interrupted.

The extended beyond the upper bracket 22 side walls 20, 21 are slightly angled in the region of the upper bracket 22 inward and run against the lower bracket 23 toward each other. The lower bracket 23 is symmetrical to the comb 24 and away from the upper bracket 22 running away slightly angled outwards.

The sealing element 4 is configured as a cross-sectionally U-shaped profile of, for example, silicone rubber with legs 40, 41 projecting from a web 43. Here, the web 43 spans the slightly angled lower bracket 23 to form a longitudinal gap 5 with a narrow linsenförmigem opening cross-section. The web 43 may also rest at least partially on the lower bracket 23. Preferably, the web 43 is formed approximately the same length as the length of the lowermost portion of the support rail 2, here so the lower bracket 23rd

The two legs 40, 41 of the sealing element 4 point with their free ends against the upper web 43 of the guide rail 1 and are arranged between the outer side walls 11, 12 of the guide rail 1 and the inner side walls 20, 21 of the support rail 2. The two legs 40, 41 may also be fastened with their upper ends to the carrier rail. The legs 40, 41 can from the Support rail 2 protrude away against the side walls 11, 12 of the guide rail 1 out or they can rest against the side walls 20, 21 of the support rail 2. Furthermore, they can be provided with nubs or other elevations or be formed with a smooth surface. The legs can also be pulled up outside the guide rail, as in EP 1 162 341 the case is. It is essential, however, that at least one, preferably both of these two legs in the lowered state forms a lateral seal. This seal can be made between the side wall of the support rail 2 and the side wall of the guide rail 1 or between the guide rail and the groove of the door.

In the region of the upper web 43, two mutually facing inner projections 42 protrude inwardly from the legs 40, 41 of the sealing element 4 in the form of undercut spring elements and protrude into the undercut longitudinal grooves 25, 26. The sealing element 4 is secured to the support rail 2 via undercut tongue and groove connections.

In the region of the transition of the legs 40, 41 of the sealing element 4 in the web 43 longitudinally extending notched grooves 44 are arranged inside.

Der spitze Winkel α zwischen der Absenkrichtung und der Dichtlippe 45 ist vorzugsweise 30° bis 70°, insbesondere 35° bis 60°.One of the legs 40, 41 of the sealing element 4, in the present case of the first leg 40, continues in the region of its transition to the web 43 as a longitudinal tapered lip 45 with a preferably rounded free end. The sealing or oblique rib 45 is preferably directed inwards relative to the first leg 40 by an angle α of approximately 45 °. The oblique lip preferably has a length of 5 to 15 mm. The acute angle α between the lowering direction and the sealing lip 45 is preferably 30 ° to 70 °, in particular 35 ° to 60 °.

The FIGS. 2 and 3 show the door seal in two different operating conditions. When the door is open, the support rail 2 is within the guide rail 1 ( Fig. 2 ). If the door is closed, the support rail 2 is lowered automatically by means of a built-in lowering mechanism within the guide rail 1. FIG. 3 shows the in a longitudinal groove of the lower edge of a door T built-in door seal whose oblique lip 45 rests with its free end with the door closed T a floor B. Of course, the oblique lip 45 can also be pressed more strongly on the bottom B, so that it rests not only punctiform but over a larger area. It is essential, however, that the web 43 still does not touch the ground in this state and that thus the length of the seal is sufficient or the stroke is dimensioned such that the sealing lip preferably assumes the lower sealing function exclusively.

Die Länge der Rippen beträgt vorzugsweise 5 bis 15 mm.In FIG. 4 a lowered door seal is shown. The seal is formed substantially the same. Instead of the oblique lip but now three vertical ribs 46 are arranged on the web 43, which spaced from each other approximately vertically projecting downwards. Preferably, all vertical lips are the same length. Again, the vertical ribs or ribs 46 are in the lowered state on the ground, but not the web 43. There may be one, two, three or more ribs. The length of the ribs is preferably 5 to 15 mm.

In Figur 4 ist eine Befestigungsart dargestellt. Es handelt sich um einen Befestigungswinkel 6.In FIG. 4 is a fastening shown. It is a mounting bracket. 6

The sealing elements or sealing strips described here are preferably formed in one piece, wherein the material thickness of the legs, the web and the oblique or vertical lip is preferably the same.

The inventive lowerable seal is particularly suitable for use on uneven and sloping soils.
