Definitions
- the present invention relates to pleasure craft of the type called "semi-cabin" with a cockpit, closed on three sides covered with a “roof” and open at the rear.
- This cockpit if the dimensions are sufficient, can also house chairs, couches or the like.
- One of the main drawbacks of these pleasure craft is that the cockpit, although it can house these couches, is uninhabitable, as far as it is fully open to the rear.
- the purpose of the present invention is therefore to provide a door for pleasure craft cabins that allows the cockpit of these boats to be converted, where appropriate, into a closed and habitable room, which can be opened and closed in a simple and fast way and in addition, in the open position, which takes the least possible space in the boat.
- This object is achieved by the present invention, by positioning at the open rear side of the cockpit, a support frame of a sliding plate between at least a first fully lowered position of access to said opening and at least one second fully closed position of closing said opening; said plate is provided with actuating systems that allow rapid sliding between said first and second access and closure positions and in the hull of the boat, there is a housing for retracting said plate in said first position totally lowered access to the cockpit.
- a pleasure craft comprising a hull 101 on which, towards the stern, is provided a housing 2 for storing a rescue inflatable boat 3.
- a driving cabin 4 closed at the front, upper and laterally by a structure 401 cover and having at the rear an opening 402 access.
- a sliding plate 5 for closing and opening the cab, according to the present invention.
- the two limit positions of this sliding plate 5 are shown, namely the fully lowered position, illustrated by continuous lines and in section, and the fully raised position, illustrated in dotted lines.
- the plate 5 makes it possible to transform the cabin 4 into a closed and habitable room, whereas in the lowered position, this plate 5 disappears in an ad hoc housing 6, formed in the hull 101 of the boat and preferably between the storage housing 2 of the inflatable boat 3 and the cabin 4.
- the plate 5, visible frontally in Figure 2, is preferably transparent, made for example of polymethylmethacrylate, glass or the like.
- This plate 5 has an upper edge 501 suitably arched to fit the shape of the structure 401 cover of the cabin 4, at the corresponding access opening 402.
- This plate 5 is inserted into a support frame 7 comprising two lateral uprights 701 and a base 702. Each of these lateral uprights 701 is endowed inwardly with a slide, in which is inserted the corresponding lateral edge of the plate 5.
- Said plate 5 is fixed at the lower level to a stiffening crossbar 8 to which is fixed, as will be shown hereinafter, a traction cable 9, which passes through the lateral uprights 701 and the base 702 of the support frame 7, to means of return pulleys, positioned at the top and the lower end of the two lateral uprights 701.
- FIG. 3 is illustrated the device for lowering and lifting the sliding plate 5, along the rails of the support frame 7.
- This device comprises actuating systems, such as for example an air cylinder 11 connected to the lower end of the base 702 of the frame 7 by means of an axis 12 with respect to which the cylinder 11 can rotate at an angle and at the upper end, by means of another axis 13, to a lifting arm 14 of the plate 5.
- This arm 14 is provided at one end with a roller 15 sliding along the lower edge of the cross member 8 of stiffening of the plate 5 and at the other end, it is connected, by means of an axis 16, which allows some rotation, the amount 701 of the frame closest to the axis 12 of attachment of the lower end of the cylinder 11.
- This axis 16 of rotation of the arm 14, in addition, is positioned on the upright 701 at a lower height relative to the cross member 8 stiffening.
- the lifting device and the plate 5 are illustrated with the corresponding cross member 8 in position fully raised, while in dashed lines are illustrated the lifting device and the plate 5 with the corresponding cross member 8 in the fully lowered position.
- This cylinder 11 may be, as has been said, compressed air, hydraulic or the like and furthermore it may be connected to electromechanical means which control the actuation, even remotely.
- FIG. 4 shows in detail the device for balancing the sliding of the panel 5, along the slides 703, provided so as to prevent the lateral edges of this panel 5 from being misaligned with respect to these slides. 703, and thus get stuck, when the lifting device described in Figure 3 is actuated.
- the traction cable 9 of this balancing device is returned, as previously seen, to a series of pulleys 10, so that along the lateral uprights and at the base of the support frame of the plate 5, it splits into two branches 9 'and 9 ", so at the lower ends of the lateral uprights, there will be provided a pair of parallel pulleys 10 while at the vertices of these lateral uprights, there will be provided a single pulley 10.
- the ends of the stiffening cross member 8 of the plate 5, and therefore the plate itself, are thus positioned between said two branches 9 'and 9 "of the traction cable, along the two lateral uprights.
- This crossbar 8 is provided at one end with a first arm 17 'perpendicular thereto and oriented towards a branch 9' of the pulling cable and at the other end of a second arm 17 'perpendicular to the latter. ci, and oriented towards the other branch 9 "of the traction cable.

In Figure 3 is illustrated the device for lowering and lifting the
The use of the present door with guiding and balancing devices described above can be understood by observing the figures indicated: assuming that the
