Description

The invention relates to a contact element for connecting the shielding of an electrical cable to a connector.

Such a contact element is required for easy contacting of the shielding of a shielded cable to a shielded against electrical noise connectors.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

There are any number of connectors are known in which the Abschirmgeflecht an electrical cable or conductor is contacted with a shielded connector housing.

In this case, different mechanical devices have been proposed, it is from the DE 41 37 355 C2 an electrical connector for shielded cable is known in which an electrically conductive elastomer part is provided for the electrical connection between the cable shield and the housing.

From the DE 90 15 056 U1 is an electrical round plug in waterproof and high frequency dense design known in which the cable shield rests on an electrically conductive shielding sleeve, wherein the shield is pressed by a surrounding sealing ring by a clamping basket when screwing with a threaded sleeve to the shielding sleeve.

The disadvantage of this is that predominantly for the electrical contacting an additional component is required, which also supplied isolated, easily forgotten during assembly or is lost.

EP-A-0 77 2259 discloses a combination different from that of claim 1 in which EP-A-077 2259 the cable guide part is conductive.

Aufgabenstellungtask

The invention has for its object to make a contact for a plug connector such that a simple connection to the user of the shield to the connector is possible, wherein the contact element is captively connected to the connector.

This object is achieved in that in a cutout, adjacent to a collar portion of a cylindrically shaped and non-conductive cable guide part, a sectionally opening, electrically conductive wall segment is provided.

Advantageous embodiments of the invention are specified in claims 2-5.

For the data transmission of signals that must be protected against external electromagnetic interference, correspondingly shielded connectors are inevitable.

For a plug-in system with circular connectors that has already been produced for some time, therefore, a replaceable variant of a splicing ring has been developed, which allows a simple placement of the shielding of an electrical cable to such a connector.

For this purpose, otherwise known by the term "splice ring" cable guide member that is disposed within a connector sleeve, provided with a laterally ausklinkbaren wall segment, wherein the cable guide member is made of an insulating material, while the wall segment consists of an electrically conductive material and advantageous with the Cable guide is latched.

The wall segment is approximately semicircular, shaped in accordance with the sleeve-shaped cable guide part, provided with a rocker arm, which is inserted into the interior of the cable guide member, there latched, but advantageously allows to be made outwardly tilting movement. This is also advantageous that a funnel-shaped passage is formed by the releasable wall segment, which facilitates the threading of an electrical cable.

After threading the electrical conductors into corresponding conductor channels in the cable guide part, the wall segment is in turn latched and forms a retractable into the connector sleeve unit.

Furthermore, in the region of the collar in the center of the cylindrical body of the cable guide part facing, rounded ribs are formed. Wherein a rib of the non-electrically conductive part of the cable guide member and at least one oppositely provided bulge in the electrically conductive wall segment is formed.

By means of the electrically conductive bulge formed from the two ribs, the ground signal delivered via the cable shield is forwarded to the likewise electrically conductive surrounding plug sleeve.

The Fig. 1 shows a connector 7 in a partially exploded view with an electrical cable 6, a deferred cap nut 5, a sealing insert 4 and a cable guide part 1, which is also referred to as a splice, and a plug-in contact insert 3 are arranged in the electrical contacts not shown here ,

The cable guide part 1 has in its interior a plurality of specially shaped passage openings 13, in each of which an electrical individual conductor is to be threaded, which in turn is contacted by an electrical contact.

Furthermore, the cable guide part 1 is associated with a designed as a wall segment 2 contact element that occupies an isolated semicircle of Kabelführungsteiles and can be tilted by an acute-angled edge 29 in the angular range of the cut-out in the cable guide part radially outward.

To open the wall segment of the acute-angled edge 29 formed spherical triangle 28 is required with a wedge angle of 30 °, wherein the wall segment is rotatably supported by means of an inserted into the cable guide part 1 rocker arm 24.

The Fig. 2 shows the connection element 1 in a perspective view, wherein a part of the inner structure is recognizable.

The generally round shaped body connection element 1 has in the upper part of a collar, wherein the one collar half 10 is formed out of the connection element 1, while the second collar half 20, from the metallic wall segment 2 is formed.

In this case, the wall segment is formed in the region of the collar 20 identical to the collar of the connecting element, so that again a circular shape is formed, in turn, two grooves 11, 21 are provided, in each of which a locking projection 41 of the collar can be placed on the sealing insert 4 is used ,

In the interior of the round body, at least one round-shaped rib 14, 21 pointing into the interior space is provided on each of the two body halves, wherein here two ribs 22 are provided, to which the opposite rib 14 is arranged symmetrically.

Insgesamt zeigt die innere Struktur eine etwa rechteckig gebildete Kabelöffnung 12 mit einigen Durchführungsöffnungen 13.Overall, the inner structure has an approximately rectangular cable opening 12 with a few passage openings 13.

Within the cable opening 12 here two through openings 13 are provided, in each of which an electrical single conductor 61 is to be threaded, while the stripped cable shield is inserted into the cable opening 12 and fixed by means of the two ribs 14, 22, as shown in the Fig. 3 , which still shows an unfolded wall segment, can be seen.

In the Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the cable guide member 1 shown with the wall segment 2 in the closed state, wherein the cable guide member has an approximately central longitudinal section, so that the function of the rocker arm 24 is visible.

In the cable guide part 1 a continuous rectangular opening 16 is provided, in which the wall segment 2 is used with the rocker arm 24.

In this case, two locking edges 26 on the rocker arm 24 are first formed to guide the rocker arm in the vertical, which slide along two locking edges 18 in the rectangular opening 16 along.

Entsprechend eingeschoben, verrastet der Kipphebel mit einem Absatz 25 hinter einer Rastschulter 17 in der Rechtecköffnung 16.Inserted accordingly, the rocker arm locks with a shoulder 25 behind a latching shoulder 17 in the rectangular opening 16.

When the closed wall segment 2, as in the Fig. 5 shown, is pulled radially outward or pressed, the tilting lever 24 located in the rectangular opening 16 tilts over the acute-angled edge 29 within a free space 19 in the cable guide part first

Here, the locking edge 26 jumps on the rocker arm via the locking edge 18 in the rectangular opening 16, wherein the wall segment 2 in any position between 0 ° and 30 °, although freely movable, but is held in the cable guide member.

In this opened state of the wall segment 2, an easy mounting of the electric cable 6 is possible.

When installing an electrical cable with the connector, the union nut 5 and then the sealing insert 4 is first pushed onto the cable end of the electric cable 6. Then, the lines of the electrical single conductor 61 and a portion of the shield 62 are exposed.

Subsequently, the electrical individual conductors 61 are threaded into the corresponding passage openings 13 in the cable guide part 1 until the shield is positioned in the region of the cable opening 12 between the ribs 14 and 22.

Subsequently, the wall segment 2 is closed and the sealing insert 4 is joined to the cable guide part 1, wherein a respective oppositely molded latching projection 41 in the locking groove 11, 21 is locked, and the cable guide part with the sealing insert a unit.

After removing the protruding from the passage openings 13 of the cable guide member wire ends this connected unit is inserted into the plug contact insert 3 and screwed by means of the nut 5. The electrical individual conductors are pressed into corresponding insulation displacement contacts within the plug-in contact insert and the electrical connection of the cable shield to the metallic plug-in contact insert 3 via the metallic wall segment 2 and the pressure screw 5 to a mating connector completed.
