Description

Domaine technique de l'inventionTechnical field of the invention

The invention relates to a roping belt for a safety harness, comprising a material-carrying device having at least one U-shaped attachment loop secured to the belt by fixing means, and composed of a connecting piece of flexible textile material and a preformed stiffening element of semi-rigid plastic material.

État de la techniqueState of the art

The figure 1 shows a seat belt 10 of a safety harness, comprising a packing structure 11 on which is sewn a resistance strap 12 over the entire length of the belt 10. The packing structure 11 is formed by way of example by a net, a synthetic fabric band or a padded foam-based coating reinforced by bias. The belt 10 is equipped with a material carrying device 13 constituted by at least one U-shaped fastening loop 14 secured to the resistance strap 12. The user can hook the buckle 14 one or more safety equipment 15 , in particular a carabiner, a descender, a blocker, etc. A main attachment ring 16 is arranged at the front of the resistance strap 12 to connect the harness belt 10 to a safety rope.

The ends of the loop in U are provided with fastening lugs 17, which are pierced by seams 18 to secure the material carrier device to the resistance strap 12. The mechanical strength of such a material-carrying device is limited because of the perforation of the material by the seams 18 at the level of the legs 17.

The figure 3 illustrates a second known embodiment of the material carrying device 13, which comprises a textile resistance piece 19 sewn at both ends to the strap 12 forming a loop. The shaping of the material bearing device 13 is obtained by means of a deformation of a rigid and tubular stiffening member 20 in which the resistance piece 19 is threaded beforehand.

The figure 4 shows the inverted arrangement of the material-carrying device 13, in which the rigid stiffening element 20 is constituted by an insert housed inside a tubular textile sheath forming the resistance piece 19. The internal stiffening element 20 is more short that the outer flexible sheath, and the seams 18 are made in the strap 12 through the ends of the sheath, but not the stiffening element 20.

The mechanical strength of the material carrying device 13 is high in both cases of figures 3 and 4 , but the connection with the belt is too flexible at the bending lines 21 by promoting its positioning in the vertical position. This results in difficulties of attachment equipment often requiring the use of two hands.

US 5,445,114 .Some examples of the prior art are described in the documents WO 02/28482 A1 and US5,445,114 .

Objet de l'inventionObject of the invention

The object of the invention is to provide a girdling belt equipped with a material carrier device having a strong connection facilitating the attachment of equipment with one hand.

The belt according to the invention is characterized in that the connecting piece and the stiffening element are inserted into one another by being housed at at least one end in a holding gusset fixed to the belt to form a non-articulated connection requesting the material-carrying device in a projecting position.

According to a preferred embodiment, the holding gusset is formed by a rigidifying part sewn to the belt, and provided with a loop serving as a bearing at the end of the stiffening element. The non-articulated connection advantageously forms a connection to be embedded on at least one of the sides.

This gives a material door whose connection with the belt is very strong, not too flexible to stay protruding to facilitate the attachment of equipment, and not too rigid not to hurt the wearer of the harness.

The stiffening element of the material-carrying device can be disposed inside a tubular sheath constituting the textile connecting piece. The sheath is then longer than the stiffening element, each end of the sheath being sewn to the belt upstream of the gusset.

The connecting piece of textile material may be formed by an auxiliary strap housed inside a semi rigid outer tube constituting the deformable stiffening element. The auxiliary strap is longer than the tube, which is housed at each end in the corresponding gusset.

Description détaillée de l'inventionDetailed description of the invention

On the Figures 5 to 7 , the same reference numbers will be used to designate parts identical or similar to those of Figures 1 to 4 .

With reference to the figure 5 , the material-carrying device 130 is composed of a connecting piece 19 formed by a tubular sheath 23 of resistant textile material, and a stiffening element 20 semi-rigid disposed inside the sheath 23 to ensure a shaping The two ends of the textile sheath 23 protrude from the two ends 22 of the stiffening element 20, and are sewn directly to the resistance strap 12 by seams 18.

Un gousset 24 de rigidification est cousu à la structure de garnissage 11, et comporte un passant 25 dans lequel est logé chaque bout 22 de l'élément raidisseur 20 entouré par la gaine 23.Each end 22 of the stiffening element 20 is set back from the corresponding seam 18 inside the sheath 23 textile. A gusset 24 for stiffening is sewn to the lining structure 11, and has a loop 25 in which is housed each end 22 of the stiffening element 20 surrounded by the sheath 23.

The stiffening member 20 within the textile sheath 23 is shaped to hold the hardware carrier 130 protruding to facilitate hanging equipment. The presence of the gussets 24 around the ends 22 of the stiffening element 20 eliminates any bending effect, without constituting a rigid connection.

The auxiliary strap 26 is longer than the tube 27, and the stiffening gussets 24 surround each end 22 of the tube 27. The ends of the auxiliary strap 26 pass over the resistance strap 12, being secured to the structure of the packing 11 by seams 180.

The insert 28 is shorter on the left side where the end of the tubular textile connecting piece 19 is secured directly to the resistance strap 12 as in FIG. figure 6 . The end 22A of the insert 28 is set back from the seam 180.

L'extrémité de la pièce de liaison 19 textile tubulaire est solidarisée directement à la sangle de résistance 12.On the right side, the semi-rigid insert 28 has an extension 29 extending in the passage of the gusset 24 to position the tip 22B at a level higher than that of the other end 22A. The end of the tubular textile connecting piece 19 is secured directly to the resistance strap 12.

The hardware carrier device 330 thus has a right-hand recessed connection 30 ensuring the projecting maintenance, and a flexible connection 31 on the left side allowing a good multidirectional resistance.

The figure 8 shows a belt 10 according to the invention, equipped with three hooking loops 14 belonging to each type of hardware carrier devices 130, 230, 330 above.
