Abstract

The present invention consists of mounting on a conventional bed, on a mattress or on any furniture, a barrier that can be used as a cradle, or if it is put on the ground can use like infantile park. In addition it is folding so that it is possible to be transported easily.

Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION:

The present invention consists of mounting on a conventional bed, on a mattress or on any furniture, a barrier that can be used as a cradle, or if it is put on the ground can use like infantile park. In addition it is folding so that it is possible to be transported easily.
The barrier this composing by four rectangular panels, each one of them formed as well by four strips, except one of the panels who are folding to facilitate the access to the boy. The union of the panels forms a structure cubes, which uses as it bases the own mattress of a conventional bed, or a sofa, or similar furniture, or on a mattress in the ground, etc.
In order to fix the barrier, it has hoops by which a tape is introduced, this tape that crosses below the furniture where is placed the cradle, or instead of tapes, structures in form of "L", as it is explained more ahead.
With the same idea, it can be put a barrier of size reduced on a marriage mattress and to use the barrier like moses, subjecting to the mattress with the system of "L", this system facilitates the access to the baby without having to rise.
In order to use it as infantile park we used structures that they prevent that one turns upside down, and could include a mechanism that allows to make longest and wide the barrier.

ANTECEDENTS OF THE INVENTION:

At the moment most of the cradles are fixed, portable or transformable in conventional beds, not existing an adapter that allows to adapt other furniture to be able to use it as a cradle, reason by which we have invented the folding barrier that can become cradle or infantile park or moses.
This barrier is easily detachable and portable, since also it is folded, with which can be used as cradle of trip.
The option of moses is the same idea, but only it subjects to the bed by the lateral one, due to the weight and mobility of the baby and the parents lie down to his side. This subjection is sufficient to be a baby days old sleeping in the head of the bed of the parents but without danger that the baby falls and protected of the possibility that the parents can squash to him. This barrier has multiple benefits since the parents do not have to rise whenever he cries, and the baby will feel like protected and more near his parents.
The benefits of this invention are the following ones: on the one hand, the use of the barrier reduces the space that a cradle in the room would occupy and when folding themselves and retiring easily of the bed can be used for beds, bunks, etc., since it is possible to be retired daily of the bed. On the other hand the barrier benefits the boy because you can take advantage of the mattres of the bed, that it has better quality than the one of the cradles, and in addition the boy gets used to sleeping from the beginning in his own bed.
When not needing mattress, because it takes advantage of a bed or sofa, its cost is reduced considerably. The barrier adapts on a furniture and it gives a functionality him of cradle, different from which was to him own before adapting this to him.
The possibility of placing it in the ground also allows its use like park, with the option to increase its size so that the boy has more space to move.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION:

The main newness is the advantage of a furniture, type bed or sofa, to be used as a cradle. The description of the invention is a barrier of 80 cm wide and 90 cm in length, that would adapt to a wide bed of 80 cm or more. The size can vary based on the necessities.
The BARRIER is formed by 4 rectangular PANELS, with a vertical height of 50 cm and one horizontal length of 80 cm two, and 90 cm the other two. They are united by its lateral ones, so that from above a rectangle of 80 cm by 90 cm is seen.
Each one of the PANELS is formed by four heavy strips of wood or plastic, two verticals of 50 cm and two horizontals with lengths of 80 cm for the panels who locate themselves cross-sectionally to the bed and 90 cm for the panels who locate themselves longitudinally.
The panels are formed by four tubes, strips, with the interior of fabric, grid or bars. The four panels are united to each other by their sides of 50 cm, by hinges. The panels of 80 cm have in the middle of their horizontal strips hinges that allow to double them towards the interior of the barrier, and that along with another game of hinges that serve to unite them by their vertical strips to the other pair of panels, they allow us to fold the barrier so that it is as one laminates rectangular, easily transportable, of 80 cm by 50 cm and a thickness of about 12 cm, variable based on the thickness of the strips that form the panels.
In the inferior part of 2 vertical strips of each one of the 2 panels arranged longitudinally to the mattress, there are united 4 hoops, one by strip and all to the same height, whose function is to firmly hold the barrier to the mattress with a long tape that happens through a hoop, soon below the bed and it enlists in the hoop of the opposed side, leaving the structure of the cradle firmly together with the mattress. They can add another group of 4 hoops, to average height of vertical strips for the case of wanting to connect the barrier in a mattress wider than the barrier, because it would give greater stability him.
In order to facilitate the access to the interior of barrier, one of the panels of 90 cm is divided longitudinally in two equal panels united by hinges, which allows to lower the superior panel towards the inner part or to the outside of the cradle. In order to close and to fix it, it is possible to be used bolts in the superior part of the folding panel. Instead of this simple system, it can be put a mechanism that allows that half of the frontal panel lowers using tracks in lateral or the other similar.
The tapes can go hopeless in velcro, or clasp or another type of closing that allows its adjustment.
A possibility would be to mount the cradle on a wide sofa, placing the hoops in the superior part and passing tapes behind the endorsement of the sofa.
The Moses BARRIER, the idea is similar to the previous one but with one more a smaller barrier, for example of 70 cm in length, 30 cm wide and of stop 25 cm it fix itself to the double bed by means of structures with form of "L" (to see figure 6). A side of the "L" is introduced between the mattress and somier, the other fix itself to the barrier with tapes of velcro or similar (to see figure 7) so that the barrier is fixed firmly to the bed.
So that the barrier can be used in the ground, as it cradles with a mattress or like infantile park, would be used structures in form of L towards outside the cradle, that they avoid that it turns upside down.
In order to complement the description and with object to help one better understanding a series of planes is accompanied to the present descriptive memory.

DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:

PREFERRED ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THE INVENTION:

The STRUCTURE for CRADLE consists of 4 panels, (figure 1) one of them folding one by half, with a folding hinge towards inside or outside (figure 1, number 2). It is possible to be used in his place a system of sliding type, or another system. It does not have anything in the base, to be able to put it on a mattress, etc. In the lateral ones (figure 1, number 1) it can have some type of weave or similar or wood bars, etc, in order to avoid that the boy leaves or one falls.
The shortest panels are folding by half, making possible to fold all the structure (figure 2, number 3) to keep it or to transport it more easily.
He has 4 hoops (figure 3, number 4) or any other system of clasps, curtains ring, etc. where through the tapes finished off in velcro or another system (figure 3, number 5) to hold the structure to the base on which it has been reconciled.
The STRUCTURE for PARK (figure 4) use the same frames in form of "L" that figure 6, but to both sides, so that the horizontal part of the "L" is towards outside, to avoid that it turns upside down. It could be added a system to increase the size (wide, long and high) of the structure if it is necessary.
The STRUCTURE for MOSES consists of 4 panels just as the one of cradle, unless they are of so large minor and the opposed one to the folding panel is of smaller height than the rest (figure 5, number 6) to facilitate the access from the bed. Thought to put itself in the double bed, type "L" subjects to her by a frame (figure 6) that puts below the mattress and it subjects to the structure by hoops or fixations (figure 7, number 7) of another type which they allow to connect the structure to mattress of different thicknesses.
It is not considered necessary to make this description more extensive so that any expert in the matter understands the reach of the invention and the advantages that of the same one are derived.
The terms in which this memory has been written up will have to be taken in ample sense. Within of the essence of the invention can be contributed other variants as different materials for enlistments, types of subjection, but maintaining the newness that supposes the one that lacks base the cradle, and that takes advantage of any furniture that contains a suitable surface so that a baby sleeps or rests.
The materials, form, size and disposition of the elements will be susceptible of variation as long as it does not suppose an alteration of the essential characteristics of the invention, that are vindicated next.

Claims

The BARRIER is characterized because it presents a structure of four panels (figure 1), that can be connected to a bed, sofa or another type of furniture that serves to form cradle where before exist only a furniture that it had a use different from a cradle and to put it in the ground to use it like park.
It is an adaptable and folding barrier characterized by his easy installation, and its simple portability, because it is folded on itself, occupying a very small space when not needing mattress. It is an advantage for the baby, who sleeps from the first day in his own bed and will not need to adapt to sleep in her when the moment arrives, and in a mattress of better quality than the provided ones habitually in the cradles.
The BARRIER for use as Moses is more reduce size than the cradle and is thought to be able to put to the boy in the bed next to the parents and at the same time to protect the boy, with all the advantages that this has of comfort for the parents and of comfort for the boy who feels next to his parents and in a mattress of better quality than those than are provided with moses.
