  • a releasable blocking means for the engagement of profiled pin member 19 in the hole 17 in the block member 16 forming the third engagement means comprises a spring wire member 21 arranged underneath the block member 16 and crossing both of the holes 17 and 18.

  • the fitting assembly may without substantial modification be applied to a centre-pivoted structure with a horizontal pivot axis and also for releasable locking the sash or wing component with respect to the main frame component of a side-hung window structure, in which the sash component is connected with the main frame component for pivotal motion about a vertical axis.
  • the first and second fitting members of the invention may be interposed between the top members and the bottom members of the sash and main frame components.
