Claims (17)
- Gravure printing unit (4) comprising a gravure cylinder (1) containing (1) at least an ink wiper (26) which contains a ink wiping surface (16) which is in at least in contact with some parts of the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder (1),
whereby the radius of curvature of the ink wiping surface (16) is adjustable to the radius of curvature of the gravure cylinder (1) over partial adjustment ranges of its extension in the circumferential direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1),
characterised in that- the ink wiping surface (16) touches the gravure cylinder only at one edge of the gravure cylinder (1)- and the ink wiper (26) shows media for adjustment of the bending radius (21,20) which presses the ink wiping surface (16) to the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to claim 1,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (16) is an interface of a least one wiping body (15) which (15) consists of a flexible and/or material which is changeable in design. - Gravure printing unit (4) according to claim 2,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (15) consists of Ethylene-Propylen-Dlen-Monomer rubber (EPDM). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to the preceding claim,
characterised in that
the ink wiper (26) comprises spring elements (20) pressing the ink wiping surface (16) on the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder (1), whereby they (20) provide at least a part of the whole contact force between the ink wiping surface (16) and the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to the preceding claim,
characterised by
spring elements (21) which are pre-stressed by clamping elements (20) whereby the spring elements (21) are arranged in an angle range of the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder parallel to the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder. - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (16) is an interface of a body (15) made of a material which is profiled in the radial direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) in such a way that the ink wiping surface (16) can be overlie on the gravure cylinder (1) while at least another interface of the body (15) which is turned to the gravure cylinder (1) discloses a distance to the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the length of the ink wiping surface (16) in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) amounts to at least 10 cm. - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the length of the ink wiping surface (16) in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) amounts to at least 20 cm. - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the length of the ink wiping surface (16) in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) amounts to at least 30 cm. - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (16) is an interface of a body (15) which (15) graps beyond a doctor blade in the peripheral direction of the gravure cylinder which (14) extends along the axial direction of the gravure cylinder and which (14) can be engaged against the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the printing zone (5) between the impression roller (2) and the gravure cylinder (1) is less than the whole width of the gravure cylinder in its axial direction (z). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to the preceding claim,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (16) gribs over the printing zone (5) in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) which has a distance to the ink wiping surface (16) in axial direction (z) of the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims,
characterised in that
the ink wiping surface (16) extends in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1) to the effective range of a second splash guard device (27). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to the preceding claim,
characterised in that
the effective range of the second splash guard device (27) comprises a bigger part of the axial expansion of the gravure cylinder (1). - Gravure printing unit (4) according to the three preceding claims,
characterised in that
the second splash guard (27) is arranged to at least one ink reservoir (6, 11) in such a way that it controls the escape of ink drops from this ink reservoir (6, 11). - Gravure printing machine (4) comprising at least a gravure printing unit (4) according to one of the preceding claims.
- Process for exchanging an old gravure cylinder (1) of a gravure printing unit (4) by a new gravure cylinder (1) of another shape,- whereby (4) an ink wiper (26) which comprises an ink wiping surface (16) which can be brought into contact with at least parts of the new gravure cylinder (1) is pushed against the new gravure cylinder (1)- and the radius of curvature of the ink wiping surface (16) is adjustable regarding the radius of curvature of the gravure cylinder (1) at least over parts of its expansion in peripheral direction (ϕ) of the gravure cylinder (1),characterised in that- the ink wiping surface (16) contacts the gravure cylinder only at one edge of the gravure cylinder (1)- and the radius of curvature of the ink wiper (26) is adjustable by adjustment means of the radius of curvature (21, 20) whereby the adjustment means of the radius of curvature (21, 20) pushes the ink wiping surface (16) against the peripheral area of the gravure cylinder (1).
