Die Anzeigevorrichtung 5 umfasst dabei einen Laserprojektor 7, mittels dessen Geräteinformationen sowie Betriebsparameter auf eine Projektionsfläche 8 projizierbar sind, die in der gezeichneten Ausführung etwa auf Augenhöhe auf der Außenseite der Gerätetür 2 vorgesehen ist und von der Außenwandung der Gerätetür 2 gebildet sein kann. Als Informationen sind dabei z. B. die Kühlbehälter- und Gefrierbehältertemperaturen darstellbar. Zusätzlich wird über den Laserprojektor 7 eine virtuelle Tastatur 9 auf die Projektionsfläche 8 projiziert, die eine Vielzahl von rasterförmig angeordneten Bedienflächen 10 umfasst. Die einzelnen Bedienflächen 10 können dabei Beschriftung und/oder Symbole aufweisen, beispielsweise "Temperatur +" und "Temperatur -".
