Description

The invention relates to a device for locking a battery pack in a guide of a power tool according to the preamble of claim 1 and a power tool according to the preamble of claim 10.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

The closest prior art is the document US Pat. No. 6,376,942 B1 considered.

Off-line power tools that are powered by a battery pack are usually provided with a locking device to hold the battery pack in operation relative to the power tool. In order to avoid that the battery pack unintentionally detached from the power tool, if he is not properly locked with this, in some larger and heavier power tools of the Applicant also already a device of the type mentioned is provided, which also allows a double locking called two-stage locking , In this case, a spring-loaded latch of the power tool when inserting the battery pack in the guide by the spring force is successively engaged with two recessed in the insertion direction in the battery pack recessed engagement. Upon engagement of the bolt in the first locking recess, ie in the front locking position, the battery pack is secured only in relation to the power tool, while an electrical connection is made only upon engagement of the bolt in the second recess, ie in the rear locking position. To remove the battery pack, the power tool is provided with a Entriegelungsorgan that usually designed as a push-button is and is pressed to unlock the battery pack prior to removal. Although with the known device can be prevented that the battery pack unintentionally detached from the power tool when the latch does not or not properly engaged in the rear recess, for example because the battery pack has not been pushed by the user in the guide not quite up to the rear locking position is. However, if the user to remove the battery pack actuates the unlocking organ and holds pressed, or if unlocking the unlocking or the bolt jammed in its unlocked position, the battery pack can inadvertently slide out of the guide and crash, if at this time the leadership against the insertion direction points diagonally downwards and the battery pack is not held. Especially when working at high altitude, this carries the risk of serious injury to other people.

The publication US B1-6,376,942 discloses a battery-operated drilling rig in which a battery pack can be attached to the housing in two locking positions and is also electrically connected to the drive motor of the drilling rig only in the second and not in the first locking position. The connection of the battery pack to the housing of the drill is provided so that there is no relative movement between the plug arranged on the battery pack and the mating plug arranged on the drill when the drill is subjected to shocks. However, even with this drill the two locking positions do not secure the battery pack against accidental crashes.

Vorteile der ErfindungAdvantages of the invention

Since with the removal of the battery pack, the bolt moves with this in the front locking position and thus maintains the locking of the battery pack between the two locking positions, the device according to the invention with the features mentioned in claim 1 has the advantage that an unintentional movement of the battery pack in Removal direction beyond the front locking position and thus a Slipping out of the guide is prevented until re-actuation of the Entriegelungsorgans in the front locking position.

Preferably, the unlocking member remains between the rear locking position and the front locking position in one actuated position in which it can not be moved, and only returns to an unactuated position when the battery pack reaches the front locking position. Re-actuation of the unlocking member then allows disengaging the latch from engagement with the battery pack to completely release the latch between the battery pack and the power tool for removal of the battery pack.

Preferably, the latch and the unlocking member are formed as a unit and suitably form the two arms of a two-armed lever, one lever arm protrudes in the unactuated position via a housing of the power tool and serves as an unlocking, while his other lever arm serves as a bolt and with a recess in the Battery pack engages.

In order to maintain the lock between the rear locking position and the front locking position, the latch according to an advantageous embodiment of the invention in the rear locking position is operable to disengage it from a locking engagement with the power tool, so that it together with the battery pack in the move forward lock position, where it is again operable to disengage it now out of engagement with the battery pack.

On the one hand to allow actuation of the Entriegelungsorgans in the rear locking position and the front locking position and on the other hand between moving the bolt with the battery pack, provides a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, that the bolt in the front and rear locking position with a first degree of freedom of movement is movable, which allows it to disengage from the locking engagement with the battery pack or with the power tool, and is movable therebetween with a second degree of freedom that allows it to move together with the battery pack with respect to the power tool, preferably in to remain in the actuated position.

For this purpose, the bolt is expediently displaceable along a guide slot of the power tool, which allows different movements depending on the locking position. Preferably, the latch is rotatable in the in the front and rear locking position and linearly movable between these positions in the direction of the guide. The guide slot is preferably formed so that the two-armed lever engages in the front and rear locking position with protruding stub axles in a portion of the guide slot, which is aligned substantially transverse to the direction in the guide, so that the bolt in these sections by actuation of the Entriegelungsorgans rotate about different axes of rotation to disengage it from the locking engagement with the battery pack or with the power tool.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the power tool has a force acting on the bolt spring, which preferably moves this together with the battery pack in the front locking position as soon as the unlocking member has been operated in the rear locking position. As a result, a safe separation of the electrical contacts of the battery pack and the power tool is automatically taken care of immediately following the operation of the Entriegelungsorgans and clear this non-operational state for the user made visible. In addition, the spring also causes the battery pack to be moved back to the front locking position if it has not been properly locked when inserted into the guide in the rear locking position, thus also making the user aware of this fact.

Beschreibung des AusführungsbeispielsDescription of the embodiment

The locking device 2 shown in the drawing serves for mutual locking of a mains-independent power tool 4, for example a hand-held hammer drill, and a required for the power supply of the power tool 4 battery pack. 6

As in the FIGS. 1 to 6 shown, the power tool 4 at the lower free end of its handle part 8 has a recessed guide groove 10 into which a arranged at the upper end of the battery pack 6 guide rail 12 can be inserted with a cross-section of the guide groove 10 complementary cross section to the battery pack 6 with the Power tool 4 to connect.

The insertion movement of the guide rail 12 in the guide groove 10 is limited by cooperating stop surfaces 14, 16 at the rear in the insertion direction of the guide rail 12 and guide groove 10 which abut against each other when the battery pack 6 in a in Fig. 1 shown locked rear locking position properly with the power tool 4 and an electrical connection between terminals of a power storage of the battery pack 6 and a circuit of a consumer of the power tool 4 is made.

To the battery pack 6 in the in Fig. 1 To hold the illustrated rear locking position includes the in the power tool. 4 integrated locking device 2 a two-armed lever 18, one lever arm forms a latch 20 and engages in the rear locking position in a recess 22 in the top of the guide rail 12, while its other lever arm forms an unlocking button 24 which extends over an outer surface of the handle portion 8 of Electric tool 4 protrudes and can be manually depress for unlocking the battery pack 6 in the rear locking position.

The bolt 20 is connected to a rear, substantially perpendicular to the insertion direction (arrow A in FIG Fig. 1 ) aligned stop surface 28 which abuts in the rear locking position against a complementary stop surface 30 of the recess 22 and blocks movement of the battery pack 6 against the insertion direction. Next, the latch 20 is provided with a front ramp 32 which faces a corresponding ramp 34 of the recess 22. At the upper end of the ramp 32 adjoins another, aligned transversely to the direction of insertion stop surface 26, while above the ramp 34 of the recess 22 is a corresponding stop surface 27. The recess 22 is slightly larger than the bolt 20 so that it is limited pivotable within the recess 22.

The lever 18 has two over opposite longitudinal side surfaces projecting axle 36, which are movably mounted in a recessed in the handle part 8 guide slot. The guide slot consists of two opposite recesses 38 in the handle portion, each one parallel to the direction of movement of the guide rail 12 in the guide groove 10 elongated central portion 40 and two at the front and rear end of the central portion 40 upwards over these projecting portions 42 and 44, which are aligned at an angle of about 80 and about 100 degrees to the insertion direction.

Further, the locking device 2 comprises a force acting on the lever 18 helical compression spring 46, which is supported with its front end to a shoulder 48 of the lever 18 and with its rear end in the handle part 8.

In the following, the operation of the locking device 2 with reference to the FIGS. 1 to 6 described.

In the in Fig. 1 shown locking position engages the latch 20 in the recess 22 in the guide rail 12 of the battery pack 6, while the two stub axles 36 of the lever 18 in the almost transverse to the insertion direction rear portions 44 of the guide slot 38, where they by the force of compressed spring 46 are pressed against a front boundary wall of these sections 44. Due to the frictional contact with this wall, the stub axles 36 are held in the sections 44 and thus the battery pack 6 is locked immovably in the rear locking position with respect to the power tool 4. As already stated, there terminal contacts of the power storage of the battery pack 6 and the circuit of the consumer of the power tool 4 are electrically connected to each other (not shown).

If the unlocking button 24 is depressed manually in this position to remove the battery pack 6, the lever 18 rotates about an axis of rotation 20 lying within the bolt, as by the arrow B in Fig. 2 shown. In this case, the two journal 36 of the lever 18 move downward in the direction of the battery pack 6 until they reach the rear end of the middle parts 40 of the guide slot 38 and the entire lever 18 against the insertion direction along the middle part 40 forward by the force of the helical compression spring 46 is shifted as indicated by the arrow C in Fig. 3 shown. After the pivoting of the lever 18 are also the two stop surfaces 26, 27 of the bolt 20 and the recess 22 opposite, so that the battery pack 6 is moved while maintaining the lock with the lever 18 with forward, as indicated by the arrow D in Fig. 3 shown. During this movement, the release button 24 remains in its depressed position in which it can not be operated.

When the stub axles 36 reach the front end of the middle portions 40 of the guide slot 38, they are urged upwardly by the helical compression spring 46 along the inclined front boundary wall of the sections 42, as in FIG Fig. 4 shown. In this position, the lever 18 and the battery pack 6 take a defined front locking position in which the battery pack 6 is locked to the power tool 4, but no electrical connection between the power storage of the battery pack 6 and the circuit of the consumer of the power tool 4 is their connection contacts are at a distance from each other. In the front locking position, the unlocking button 24 again protrudes beyond the grip part 8, so that it can be pressed down to completely unlock the battery pack 6.

In this process, the lever 18 rotates about the located in the sections 42 journals 36, as indicated by the arrow E in Fig. 5 indicated, wherein the latch 20 is moved out of engagement with the recess 22 out. As a result, the battery pack 6 is released, so that it can be moved completely out of the guide 10 of the power tool 4, contrary to the insertion direction, as indicated by the arrow F in FIG Fig. 6 shown.

When inserting a new battery pack 6 in the guide groove 10 of the power tool 4, the movement is substantially reversed. If the latch 20 when inserting the battery pack 6 is not already in the in Fig. 6 shown position, it is pivoted to this position when the upper edge of the stop surface 14 of the battery pack 6 comes into contact with the latch 20 and slides over the ramp 32. If, as the battery pack 6 continues to slide in, the recess 22 moves under the bolt 20, this rotates about the axle stubs 36 located in the sections 42 of the guide slot 38, the battery pack 6 being in the position shown in FIG Fig. 4 illustrated front locking position is locked without the establishment of an electrical connection with the power tool 4. Subsequently, the latch 20 is slightly pivoted until its abutment surface 26 contacts the abutment surface 27 of the recess 22 and the stub axles 36 move from the sections 42 into the middle parts 40 of the guide slot 38, as in FIG Fig. 3 shown. Thereafter, the battery pack 6 can be pushed against the force of the spring 46 in the rear locking position in which the axle journals move into the sections 44 of the guide slot 38 and an electrical connection between the power storage of the battery pack 6 and the circuit of the consumer of the power tool 4 is produced.
